Horrible service, horrible greeting and terrible tasteless food! Bar area smells terrible, like stale cigarettes. We walk into an empty restaurant and the owners wife asks if we had reservations. We had none and her response was.“well you better make it fast.” We should’ve taken that as a warning and ran. Food was tasteless and full of grease. Sodas were $ 2 each for watered down fountain drinks, and yes we paid for each refill unknowingly. I feel ripped off and literally left with a bad taste in my mouth! STAYAWAY! Food is of very Poor quality and way overpriced!

Service was horrifying slow. We waited over 45 minutes to get a glass of wine. The dining room was also rather dirty — unbussed tables, etc. Perhaps they were understaffed. They were apologetic, and Michael offered us a free round of drinks, which was appreciated. As for the food, we absolutely loved the table side Caesar salad. Everything else was not particularly good. I would stay away from the pasta dishes.

This place is fantastic whether you’re looking for a drink at the bar, an incredible meal perfectly prepared table side by Michael himself or a Saturday night out on the dance floor, Michael’s is your place! I’ve also been to many catered events(weddings, showers, birthday parties, work events) and have had the same incredible experience with large groups as I have when dining out with family and friends.

My family has been here twice and both times really enjoyed it as a nice change from the big chains. The interior need updating but my husband says that’s part of the charm. The food and service were both good. Two thumbs up.

Took my wife for an early Valentine Dinner. Other reviewers were correct, old school perfection. I had the veal marsala scallopini«awesome» my wife had Ravioli«excellent» tiramisu for desert, coffee all incredible. Reminded me of some«old school» Italian restaurants from when I lived in Brooklyn. We will be back. I agree, needs updating, my wife was actually concerned going in, but I can hear Michael Sr., «what ya mean we need new carpets, they were the best 49 years ago» sometimes it’s good not to change, it would be filled with folks who want breadsticks.

A throwback to a different era. I went there 15 yrs ago, and came back just now(was out of the area) and have dined twice in the last two weeks. The place hasn’t changed a bit. To some that might be negative, but to me… It’s a winner. There is a huge tableside menu, the tableside Caesar and the Cherries Jublilee are fantastic. Michael and Michael(father and son… gotta love it) are gracious hosts. It’s old-school class… that refuses to change… and I think that’s great. Had long-hot peppers and Mike’s homemade gnocchi, and they have no problem accomodating special requests. For my taste, I would prefer a little crustier bread… but it’s still good. Yes you can smoke in the lounge… the dining room is totally smoke free and closed off, so this shouldnt be a problem. I went for the food and the ambiance of having Ottmar of the piano. Be sure to ask for the wine list, reasonable choices available that will really complement your meal. So in summation, if you like an old-school dining experience with good food served by real family people(not fake nice people) Go. This place isn’t for everyone, but it is for me.

This restaurant is not clean, it reaks of cigarette smoke, and I saw a fly. The food was very expensive for what it was: overpriced Italian food that was not cooked properly. The food here is better than Americanized chain Italian restaurants like the Olive Garden, Bertucci’s, or Macaroni Grill but not by much. The food is nowhere near as good as other traditional Italian restaurants I go to in PA. My server did not tell me anything about any of the specials at all when I sat down. I saw other servers or waitresses telling other customers who sat at tables after I had ordered about them. The salad I got with my meal consisted of a few spring greens and the rest was iceberg lettuce, and a red bag of water they called a tomato with dressing that was not good. The hours are very odd too, the restaurant opens at 4:30PM and is not open for lunch during the busiest part of the day. The food I ordered was overcooked and the pasta I ordered was very bland, and they put Parmesan cheese on it without even asking me or telling me they were going to do this. I enjoyed their seafood but the veal I ordered was tough and overcooked and not good. I would not go back to this restaurant since it’s expensive and there are better places in Bucks county to get actual Italian food that are not as expensive, and that actually have excellent traditional Italian food. I am not sure why this place has been around for 30 years? The food is not that good at all, and it’s very expensive.

This place is the worse. I should have known something was wrong when we walked in and we were the only customers they had. The place reeks of smoke as soon as you open the front door. There were flies everywhere. They charge $ 2.00 for each and every soda. Who does that anymore? I ordered pasta with grilled shrimp. They charged me $ 9 additional for shrimp that were tough and the pasta was undercooked. I would never go back to this restaurant again. We should have left after we were seated. Shut this place down now!!!

Michael’s is a classy Italian joint masquerading as a dive. My parents go there often. The place is a family run operation. It’s in the middle of nowhere and the décor is dated. BUTTTTT… I have to recommend the table side Caesar salad. If you’re lucky, the owner(Michael, duh) will come out and make it for you. The food is very very good. It’s really an old school kind of join. The crowd is extremely loyal for good reason — albeit older. I’d recommend Michael’s for people all ages nonetheless. It’s an adventure every time. The have an oscar dish(can’t recall whether it’s fillet or veal). Totally off the hook.

Michael’s is a large box sitting in the middle of nowhere. Inside, you might not find many people under 50. But when the lights go down and the dj starts busting out the tunes, these seemingly calm individuals get their groove on. ‘Bust a Move” suddenly took on a whole new meaning. Ladies dressed up in sweat suits(who dresses up in a sweat suit even if it does have rhinestones??), the usuals getting loaded at the bar, large disco glasses. A disco ball spins to the Macarena and Electric slide. It’s a great place to experience bad wedding dancing all over again. $ 4 vodkas. Going to take a few to make it all tolorable. Same as your cousin’s wedding.
