Elite Jewelers Customer Orders and Repairs

Talked to a gentleman here about a ring design. He was very dismissive of what I wanted to do and told me that it would be unattractive. I never asked for his opinion and candidly nor did I care to know his opinion so I thought that it was impolite that he offered it. When I was persistent about the design he said that he could do it but quoted me a price that was higher than the other jewelers that I went to. I know that people need to make a living and I am respectful about that but he could have at least been polite.

I stopped in this store to look at engagment rings durning my lunch break one day. After shopping around a bit I came back to this store, and took the plunge. Jack walked me through the whole process, and gave me a great deal on the perfect ring. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. It was a great experiance.

My BF got me a ring for Christmas that was way too big and I had to get him my exact size so we could get it re-​sized. I read the reviews for Elite this morning and seeing how people were raving about the service, decided to stop by and check my size.
There was one gentleman behind the counter helping someone so I waited my turn; when the customer left I approached him and asked if he could help me figure out my ring size. He said «of course, five dollars»
Really?
So I told him I would go somewhere else and then he asked me if I lived here. huh?
I told him I worked here and he beckoned me back in and said he would help… and proceeded to do that with the worst attitude I have ever encountered from someone in a customer service role. He did not smile, or greet or ask to get my business and had a perpetual scowl.
You would think that if you had a new customer coming in, you would be nice so you could get their business, especially on the day after Christmas and when you knew I had a ring to be re-​sized. I am not sure if the reviewers were repeat customers but honestly, the single-​standing jewelry business relies on word-​of-​mouth. And Elite just lost a lot of theirs.

This jewelry store is the best — best prices, best quality, best repairs. Jake, the owner, is an artist — he can design anything that you can imagine. He is trustworthy, fair and honest. A diamond setter by trade, he is the best jeweler that I have ever done any business with. Thanks, Jake for coming to Morristown! I have been looking for a jeweler like this for a very long time.
