Food has greatly improved although the corned beef is far from homemade. Skip the turkey sandwich as its pressed and formed. Not freshly roasted as advertised on the menu. Guinness is still way too cold! And when were the lines cleaned last? This is not Budweiser or Coors Light where you need to freeze every pint. It’s ok. I’m patient. Please, Let my pint rest. At least the temperature will have a chance to warm up to cellar temperature!

SO and I decided to take a walk around Morristown today and we were on the street so I figured we’d check this place out, me being part Irish and him being mostly Irish. I don’t mind the inside at all, though it had sort of weird smell that I got used to rather quickly. I got the«famous» ½ lbs Dublin burger; he got the shepherd’s pie. Both were ok. I was pretty disappointed with the burger selection. They basically have cheese and no cheese. Mushrooms. Bleu cheese. Veggie. No bacon. No IRISH bacon. The Dublin is sautéed mushrooms and Irish cheddar. It was meh. It was nothing special at all, but I am a huge burger fan. My SO said the shepherd’s pie was really bland. Mostly meat and potatoes, not a lot of veggies. Oh, and this place doesn’t have bbq sauce. I don’t trust places that don’t have bbq sauce. True to my style, I have to comment on price. I saw nothing good with the prices. I could have gotten a much better burger anywhere else for less. I probably would have given it one star, but there are three things I really liked. First, the waitress was nice, maybe overly nice. She was attentive and friendly. Second, the veggie of the day was Brussel sprouts. They were really good. My SO didn’t think they were sprouts because he doesn’t like them, but he liked these. Finally, I thought the bread was awesome. I may go in and choke something down to get that bread again.

Bangers and mash were good, but what is it with the onion rings on top? The onion rings were actually pretty good, so I pulled them off and ate them first. I’ve been here before and had decent burgers. Not too expensive so I don’t expect a lot. Service has always been prompt and friendly. Beer selection is a bit of a disappointment if your a craft beer fan, but you can usually find something worth drinking.

Best Irish Coffee around. I have been coming here for over twenty years. Always a pleasure. Well, most times a pleasure. Next to the Mayo Performance Arts Center, so it can get crowded whenever there is a concert there. Parking can be a pain too. Outstanding french fries, and did I mention the best Irish Coffee around.

Place is a give or take. Arrived with a friend around 12:15AM. We asked one of the male servers if we can sit outside. He was very nasty, and said, «YESYOUCANSITOUTSIDE.» The female server who looked a lot like Lea Michelle was cute. 12:30AM came along, and while my friend and I were talking they announced it was last call(what a pub on a friday night in morristown closes early!!!). The server said her shift ended ten minutes ago, and please close out the check. Once we finished our drinks we asked if we can sit for a while, and she said, «We wanna go out drinking too, and when the lights go out don’t mind us» So weird! We were rushed out. They were more worried about drinking/money than the patrons who actually want to relax after work, and catch up with friends.

The green tea martini is the only thing that keeps me going back there. The food is mediocre. The waitstaff is actually pretty great. The bartenders are only nice to you if you are over 50 and irish. Seriously though, try the green tea martini! :)

Ate here before a show at Mayo. Had been here years ago but it has been awhile. I was not overly impressed with anything. The menu is small, and the food is plain. The onion rings were good, but a side of them should be more than 4. With so many other restaurants in the area I’m not sure I would come back.

It’s great to get a good meal at a fair price in Morristown. I had the Cesar salad which was substantial and delicious. My dining companions had a steak and the fish special. All were pleased with the taste, size of the portion, and price. We also had a cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert. The ice cream was very flavorful and the cake was moist and chocolaty. Our server was very friendly too. We were seated outside and when the weather got bad the awning was extended and covered nearly the entire patio. It was great. Good times.

Had a very disappointing time here tonight. Went on a Friday evening, nice out so we decided to sit outside in the back. Not too crowded and the area was spacious. My girlfriend ordered the Jameson pork chop with mashed potatoes and cauliflower. The pork chop was dry but she ate it anyway. I got the ribeye with fries. Asked for it to be medium rare and it came out pretty much well done. Waiter took forever to ever get back to me but told him it was well done not medium rare. He comes back saying that the cook said it was medium rare, I begged to differ. The manager came and said the same thing and I showed him and he gladly took it back for a new one. Now I know it doesn’t take 20 min to cook a steak medium rare so I started to get a bit suspicious. And sure enough it came back again well done. The manager watched me cut it and said I was right and was still well done. He said he would take the steak off our bill. Very nice of him, but what was I supposed to eat then. So I just wanted to get out of there but our waiter, Rob, avoided us like the plague. Had to ask another waitress for our bill and she quickly obliged. Thankfully. Some older man, who I can only guess was the owner, came and apologized. I do give them credit for trying to make our experience a bit more bearable, but it was quite unpleasant. Will not be going back anytime soon.

There are way too many choices in Morristown to waste your time and money on this place. Not sure which was worse — the food or the service. 40 minutes to serve and undercooked ANDCOLD burger which was sent back and then took another 20 minutes… and came out cold again. We will not be back.

Always going to be the best local dive spot in town! So much has changed for Morristown except for Dublin Pub. The owner is so pleasant, the foods good and the staff is fun. The booths are comfy. They get super busy on show nights though, good note!

I had high hopes for this place but the food was rather disappointing. I ordered corned beef and cabbage which was like warm looked like boiled deli meat. On the bright side the waiter was nice.

Food: had the chicken pot pie which is the filling in a bowl topped by a puff pastry. The filling was chicken, potatoes carrots and scallions. I actually liked the scallions flavoring the pot pie. I would have preferred the pot pie to have a nice crisp buttery crust.

Stopped in to kill some time and was welcomed by the charm of a Classic Neighborhood Irish Tavern. Guinness poured right, friendly service and very good food at reasonable market prices. I look forward to traveling through again.

We had really great service outside on the lovely patio. They gave us some delicious complimentary soda bread too. Not the greatest turkey club or fries, but the beer was nice and cold.

Arguably the best patio bar in Morristown, the Dublin Pub is a low-key place to enjoy a cold beer and pub food, and during the good weather months, to do all of that al fresco. Nothing gourmet here, the menu is all Irish favorites like shepard’s pie, corned beef and fish & chips, plus American Irish :) favorites like hamburgers. On our most recent visit everything went right. Plenty of open tables on the patio, check. A cool and friendly server, check. Kitchen cranking out orders in record short time, check. Hot, tasty and reasonably priced food, check. Solid Guiness pour, check check! Definitely worth four stars. Bangers and mash was five medium-small sausages on a generous portion of home-made smashed potatoes, with a bonus of a few onion rings on top and all slathered in a mild brown gravy. I loved it, reasonable at $ 12. An open-face hot roast beef sandwich brought thickly sliced, very likely house-roasted roast beast on bread, covered in brown gravy, with a side of perfect french fries. Hard to beat that, especially for $ 11! A Caesar salad with grilled chicken was adequate, the dressing straight from a bottle, just average at $ 12. Guess that salads are not Irish LOL! Why is this patio so great? Because unlike all the other bars in town, here you’re not sitting on a sidewalk with a truck tailpipe 5 feet from your beer! The pub is on a quiet side street, and the outdoor space is well set back and enclosed by a stone wall. It’s like an oasis with good beer :) Oh it’s not all perfect here. They simply refuse to serve a pitcher of beer, what kind of Irish bar is this?! A pint of the good black stuff is up to $ 6 now, that kinda hurts. Last but not least, absolutely no craft beer on tap at all, just the huge Irish and American names. A burger is served here, inexplicably, without fries. The menu says make any burger deluxe(add tomato, lettuce and fries) for just $ 1.50 more. Silly policy, who wants a burger without all that? Avoid this place when the community theater has a show! You can just forget it. I first tried the Dublin at least a decade ago, this review is long overdue.

So we had a very bad experience today. The place was kind of dead and there was no reason for the mistakes. First off our apps and salads came at the same time as our entrees and everything was ice cold. Hot open Turkey with gravy and fries. Fries were ice cold and turkey was cold. Unacceptable. It was sitting out a while because the gravy was congealed. Turkey club with fries and gravy. Ice cold fries and gravy was flat and congealed. Bangers and mash. The mash potatoes were ice cold and the onion rings were cold as well. The bangers were ok. Nothing to write home to Ireland about. Or Morristown. The blue cheese wedge was excellent but it was brought out two minutes before our main course. The beer was good but this place was a total disappointment. Would skip and try a different place. They have five Irish bars in the area and to serve three cold dishes and miss on each one is not acceptable. One of the managers Lee came over and took the drinks(two sodas and a beer). What a nasty manager. A real shame. Potato famine to Lea and her business !
