Webster plumbing is dishonest and unwilling to honor their faulty service. We were in the process of buying a home in Morris Plains but were living in Chicago at the time. Our home inspector recommended having a section of the pipe replaced to prevent problems in the future. Mind you that there were no leaks when the inspection was done this was a preventative measure. The sellers hired Webster plumbing to do the work with a very expensive $ 1,000 price tag. It is horribly disappointing that the sellers used such a dishonest company. The first time we flushed a toilet the pipe leaked. We had Webster Plumbing come look at the damage and they would not help us, they claimed the pipe didn’t leak when they left and offered no warranty on their service. This is shoddy work because the pipe wasn’t leaking before they came and it was leaking immediately afterward. Webster Plumbing quoted another $ 1,000 to fix their fault. We refused to give them any more money and used another local company, Paul Cullen Plumbing who fixed it for $ 960(tax and all) and gave a 1 year warranty on their work. Spare yourself the unnecessary expense and headache don’t use Webster Plumbing. Yours truly,
Eric K.

2÷5÷14: You can find better service, but you can’t pay more! I was recently quoted $ 150 to $ 300 from them to install a kitchen sink. I was charged $ 550 from Webster Plumbing and another $ 100 had to go to a handyman because the plumber did not feel comfortable cutting a hole in the counter. Also, I specifically asked 3 times that both of the shut off valves be replaced with new valves. Only one was replaced. I wasn’t home at the time or else I would have insisted that the other valve be replaced. They do reliable work and they show up. I don’t know why it seems that these people are in such a hurry to do the minimum that they can and charge as much as they can. It is deceptive. If anyone knows a reliable plumber in the NNJ area please refer them. These people want to get as much money as they can in the least amount of time possible. UPDATE2÷6÷14: I spoke with Bob Webster today and he agreed to reduce the charge by charging for one hour less. Also, he sent one of his plumbers to change the valve that was not changed. Bob Webster agreed with me that it is a good idea to have both of the 30 year old valves changed. The work is now completed to my satisfaction. If this were done in the first place I probably would have given them a 4 star review, removing one star because of price. From my conversation, I got the sense that Bob really cares about his customers. If Bob would have came to my house in the first place I am sure that both of my old valves would have been changed. For me, to a reasonable point, price is not a problem as long as the work is done well. It is too bad that I need to be such a pain in the ass to get the work done. I wish Webster Plumbing the best. If I could find a plumber that was reliable that could complete jobs as requested and maybe charge a little bit less than Webster Plumbing than I would give them a call.
