They have a fun selection of beers –although they have been out of my request several times. The«pies» are quite good, but the last time I was there my bill was $ 40 for 2 people-1 pizza and a beer each… Good for once in a while but won’t be a regular stop.

The grape and gorgonzola pizza will change your life. Add bacon for a taste sensation! Their beer selection is amazing and the bartenders are super knowledgeable about what’s on tap.

Ask for special ranch/blue cheese dipping sauce to balance any salty taste from pizza After 2pm, disappointingly can’t order individual slices to mix up toppings Staff incredibly friendly Limited tap beer available at moment so sampled In-Heat Wheat Hefeweizen, very light and refreshing would be an excellent summer Hefeweizen; and Kujo beer/coffee blend wasn’t great, a bit bitter aftertaste Pizza very salty and slightly blackened bottom crust Perfect sized thin crust Background music upbeat alternative with clean modern dim atmosphere to match $ 25 for large specialty pizza

Definitely a unique pizza place. The first time we went, we had a fabulous time. Our waiter suggested the chicken gouda pizza and since we were new, we gave it a shot. And it was delicious. Even our leftovers were perfection. The second time we went, we came with my mom for my birthday. We got the same pizza and still loved it. However, the waitress forgot our beers until halfway through our meal. Still one of my favorite places in town.

I’m a fan of Pies and Pints. They use quality ingredients and they have a nice menu with interesting choices. They never have any qualms about creating half and half pizzas which is nice if you and your dinner companion have completely different tastes. They have a fantastic Greek salad and great local craft beer selection. Prices are a litter steep but quality is good so that’s okay with me.

Just moved to Morgantown and we were pleasantly surprised by this place! Yummy pizza and a great beer selection! Service was great and the atmosphere was fun. Try the gouda chicken pizza, it was awesome. Will definitely return!

Wow, what a place. For $ 50, you can get a bland pizza. My experience here was poor, the service was decent, however the food lacked taste and appearance. To start, we had the chips and salsa and cheese garlic bread appetizers. The chips were pretty good, but not crunchy, which was strange. The cheese garlic bread was delicious, but resembled something out of the freezer department. The pizza we ordered was so bland and gross. My boyfriend ordered pulled pork and cheddar cheese on their red pizza. The pork has absolutely no taste whatsoever and the cheddar was beyond overwhelming. The red pizza sauce had little to no taste and the crust was a letdown. Overall, my experience here was subpar, and I wish I ate elsewhere. I will not be returning.

My wife and I stopped in recently just after they opened for the day. Beer selection was very good though it was odd to me that they organized the beer list first by bottle, can, cider and draft and then by flavor characteristics. I would think it would be better to list by style(with a brief description) rather than flavor characteristics. My wife and I shared the pork and pepper nachos and a gluten free pepperoni pizza. Both were very good and we would get again. I just wish there was a Pies & Pints anywhere in the Northern Panhandle.

I was so excited to learn about the new Pies & Pints location in Morgantown. I’ve previously been to the Charleston and Fayetteville locations, but come to Motown much more frequently. The pizzas here are tasty, come with some unique combinations(IE red grapes and gorgonzola) and pies can be ordered in halves. We ended up ordering half of a white pizza and half of a seasonal pear pizza, with different sauces and everything, and it wasn’t an issue at all. Can’t wait to come back. :)

We had dinner here a few nights ago and walked away with mixed feelings. We were seated right next to the front door which probably ruined the experience a bit, getting blasted with cold air every minute or two. Poor choice on the part of the restaurant. The place was practically empty so it’s not like they couldn’t have picked a warmer spot. Then again, I didn’t object, either. Our server, Stephen, was very attentive and explained their offerings of alcohol in detail. Unfortunately, the whole experience left me thinking they’re a bit too pushy or too focused on the«pints» and far less concerned with the«pies» part of the business. We were brought water and encouraged to look over the alcohol offerings, and at least twice were offered samples. We ordered an appetizer of garlic bread with cheese. It came out quickly and had good flavor, but seemed not much better than I could buy out the frozen food case at the Kroger next door. My husband ordered a Pine & Swine pizza and a glass of wine. The pizza, I’m told, was good, but the wine was a disappointment. The amount of wine received for $ 7 would probably not fill one of those small Dixie bathroom cups. Once it was gone(two swallows later) Stephen returned to offer more. At that price, no thanks. I ordered the Italian sandwich. It had a great flavor but the side of store-bought chips lacked creativity. The sandwich was also a lot smaller than I would have expected for the price. Disappointing. Overall we didn’t have a great experience and would probably not return.

Amazing pizza! It tasted so fresh and it wasn’t too expensive. Only had to pay about $ 30 for 2 pizzas for my girlfriend and I. Definitely a place to try in Morgantown.

Out of town on business and saw a familiar favorite so I had to stop in for dinner. We split a large pie between the Cuban and chipotle chicken. The Cuban is by far my fav so anythig else is hard to compare it to. Other than the price they are top notch.

Fantastic place to eat, catch a game and enjoy a beer. I had the chicken and gouda which was fantastic and my daughter had a kids pepperoni and bacon which was also very good and she gave it 5 stars as well. Service was friendly and we didn’t have to wait too long for our food, best time to go is when there is a game in town. :)

This post took a long time to come… My apologies to P/P :) I had an a very memorable encounter with this particular establishment about 4 weeks ago when I called in my order of fries, nachos and pizza. The fries and nachos were ready when I got there and the pizza had somehow been missed. The manager took it upon himself(with absolutely no complaining on my part) to not only make me a new pizza, he also threw in fresh sides(he didn’t want us to get cold fries and nachos !!) and to top it all, gave me a coupon for a free small pie and a side for the next time. Here’s the best part… he declined any payment on my order!!! I have been in a pleasant state of shock and I am just recovering from all this niceness to post this now :)))…Obviously P/P knows how to generate loyalty!

So, I’ve been trying to get to the original Fayetteville location of Pies and Pints for years. Every time I try to go, we’re pressed for time and on a deadline. Or it’s tourist season. Sorry, not going to fight a bunch of whitewater rafters for a seat. This time, we decided to make a concerted effort to go. Turns out, we didn’t have to. This trip to WV, our usual hotel was booked up, and we had to relocate to Morgantown for lodging. And in the same complex, there was a newly minted(newer-ishly built?) location of Pies and Pints(not the one Ben and Jen Affleck visited — look it up). We walked in around lunch time to find that most of the booths were taken. They managed to find us a seat, and take our order. The restaurant is warm, dark, and bustling. Evidently, it’s a pretty big lunch spot, as there were groups of people dispersed along the walls. I guess I’ll break down food and beverage separately. 1.) Pints My wife got Coke. The syrup/soda water mix was mixed in the right proportion. This is important. One of the ways restaurants cheap out is pushing the water to syrup ratio higher. Not the case here. Me, I was going through the draft list. A lot of stuff on draft from Great Lakes. Given that a.) They are in nearby Ohio and b.) Have a ton of highly rated beers. this is a great move. A lot of local, regional stuff on tap. Nothing super-rare, as I was expecting(I’m craft-spoiled/pleasantly jaded by virtue of living in NC.) The bottles are a nice mix of sours, IPA and a list of other styles that run the gamut. Saw the ubiquitous Petrus Aged Pale up top. A good selection. Not mind-blowing. But for the area, excellent. I chose the Blackout Stout from Great Lakes. I was just thinking«I’ve never had a Great Lakes stout.» Pay attention to the ABVs on the menu. It was an imperial stout, served in the proper glassware, and filled to the brim. Tasty. Proper temp, proper pour, proper glassware. 5* on the beverage end of things. – Intermission The combinations might sound a bit odd to some. But I like odd. And when the menu said«Grape and Gorgonzola», I was all in. But my wife wasn’t sure, and we knew we needed leftovers for later. She wanted to get the Mediterranean Shrimp pizza. Without being asked, our waitress dropped the fact that they do half-n-half pies. Done. We immediately chose our respective halves and waited. Now, it was lunch time and packed. And it took a little bit to get our pizza. Not an overly long time, but enough that I was almost at the point where it was time to ask«Are you sure they got our order?» The manager walked over, and apologized profusely for our wait. While we didn’t mind, it’s the smart restaurant that realizes when the kitchen is behind, and puts out fires before they have a chance to start. What could have been a slight negative for the restaurant was turned around by a little bit of self-awareness. 2.) Pies(–s) Our pizza arrived shortly thereafter, looking amazing. There’s a picture, proudly displayed below. It’s thinner crust. Crusty, chewy… closer to NY Style than anything else. The bottom of the crust has the little microblisters from the high heat. It’s a restaurant where you could just eat the crust and be happy. It stays out of the way, so you get the most toppings possible. Toppings are all in perfect harmony. The grape + gorgonzola pizza has just enough rosemary to balance out the sweetness of the grapes and the sharpness of the gorgonzola. And the Mediterranean Shrimp, with it’s lemony artichokes and kalamata olives balanced out the briny, peppery shrimp to a «T». Want to know how good it is? My wife HATES pepper, on everything. But she loved this pizza. That’s balance for you. Wrap-up: Pies and Pints is a worthwhile stop. Pizza prices are definitely on the high end, but the crust and ingredients justify the cost. Beers are delicious, but mostly regional and local on the draft end of things. Definitely worth a try and a detour. Next time we pass through Fayetteville, I think we have to visit the original location, based on this place. – Small things that might have an effect on your rating: The booths are a bit hard, over time. No padding. Guess they don’t want someone sitting there all day. Your mileage on pizza speed may vary at lunch time. May be best if you don’t have a tight hour or less to get back to work.

An upscale Pizza shop. This restaurant has a variety of craft beer and exotic combination of quality pizza for a premium price. I’ve had some pretty delicious combinations of pizzas and if you don’t know what you want you can get a smaller pan or go half and half with a large! Lots of options. The restaurant is very clean. Waiters are very kind and accomadating. Bottom line: classy pizza shop with exotic combinations of delicious pizzas. Good place for a date, casual business lunch.

Tucked deep in the town center mall is tje awesome restaurant. It hip and cozy and tje staff is top notch. Sports on all the flat screens and lots of beer choices. With a funky pizza selection my sweetheart waitress suggested getting half of 2 different kinds which is available only on a large pie. I got the Thia shrimp and chicken gouda, two flavor packed delicious choices. They have a pulled pork pie and an eggplant as well which made it so hard to choose. I enjoyed the thin crispy crust which holds up to the toppings but is not to filling. Another positive is the pie came out quick and hot and they put it on a stand that lets it stay warm and gives the table a bit more room. Come here for a slice and a beer!

I am well versed in the pies and pints of fayetteville. I was pleased to see that this mini-chain keeps the standards at this morgantown location as well. Always great tap selections that mix in local options with a diverse range of quality beers from all over. A personal favorite that they tend to have is the Rogue Dead Guy. My fav is always the mushroom garlic. You can get this at most pizza places but it is exceptional here and a common favorite among the people I meet in the area. There is also the steak and mushroom which actually has REAL steak… no thin slices like on a philly cheesesteak… REALJUICYCHUNKS of cut steak. Lastly I will note the thai pizza. Not sure what makes it thai… but this is a really cool pie that mixies in chedderish cheeses and lots of coconut with shrimp. bizarre to have such a sweet pizza but it really works and makes for a fun experience.
