I’ve been here and handful of times and I usually have a good experience. This most recent time, however, I was pretty disappointed. When we arrived it was around 12:15 and fairly busy. We ordered at 12:25 and took at seat at a nice booth. The four of us ordered 3 Mooyah Burgers, 1 Mooyah Burger Lettuce Wrap, and 3 orders of sweet potato fries. At around 12:45(20 min after we ordered) I started to wonder when our food would come up. Around that time we noticed a Lettuce wrapped burger get placed on a counter near the assembly line. At about 12:55(now 30 minutes after we ordered) they finally called our name and put the lettuce wrap burger that had been sitting out for 10 min with the rest of our order. The 3 burgers and fries came out hot and were great, but my moms lettuce wrapped burger patty was cold. We took the burger up to the front to ask them to make it right. Within a few minutes we had a new burger. After we had been eating for a while a staff member approached us(and a few other tables) to ask how it was going and said she was sorry for the cold burger, but that it was the lunch rush, they were very busy and they were doing their best. I understand restaurants get busy during lunch time and things happen. Their burgers are good but if I’m ever in need of a quick burger lunch(under an hour) I probably won’t come back here.

I must say. I had my doubts. I thought nothing could top Habit or Five guys. I will admit I was wrong! The amount of toppings offered here is amazing! Fried onion strings are so good and the mooyah sauce is a must! My boyfriend and I got two mooyah burgers with cheese and a small fry to share. These people are not stingy with their toppings or fries the avacado was well worth the 99 cents add on and the burgers are a great size. The wait can be a little long but it is worth it!

The noise level was too high. I don’t mind kid noise, but the music was so loud that we could not enjoy conversation. My husband had the sweet potato fries and a small shake. When the server brought the shake to the table, I had to laugh. When they say small, they mean it. He said the fries were good. I had the house salad with crispy chicken. It was okay, but I wouldn’t have it again. Since we don’t eat burgers, it probably isn’t fair to judge this restaurant as that is their specialty. At any rate, in future we will probably go to Eric’s Deli Café which is just a few steps away. It has a better selection for us.

Definitely our favorite«quick» food burger joint. So much better than 5 guys but same idea. Burgers just seem much«juicier» and the toppings and ingredients are much more fresh. It’s good when having the burger crave and don’t feel like cooking or having in n out.

I really don’t understand the hype about this place. food was ok. service was ok. the cashier got upset that it was my first time ordering and I didn’t know all the options beforehand. I’d rather go to In and Out.

My dad and I came in to order two small milkshakes. It was very empty and absolutely no line at all so we were able to order right away. As we waited for our milkshakes, we noticed that the workers were just standing around talking and doing busy work; nobody was working on our order! It took 9 minutes of waiting for one of the girls to even start on our milkshakes. 12 minutes after ordering, we finally received our ‘milkshakes.’ The thing might as well have been a McFlurry or 31 Below. It wasn’t mixed and was of a soup consistency. We were given no apology for the poor service and quality. Would not be coming back here.

The best burger place in town. The owner is always available and friendly. Amazing food. And the staff is always helpful. I highly respect a place that can be a teenagers first job and show them a proper work ethic. The employees are always coming by and stopping to help and clean. You can tell behavior and work ethic are taught in training. I can bring my kids out for dinner at a place where teenagers are friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

Was really good, I love how they have build your own burger. The fries were good too, would definitely go back when we are in town.

Crazy good burgers. Fun atmosphere, but it can be super busy at times and when so, finding seats can be a challenge. Not exactly cheap, but then again, these aren’t your typical fast food burgers.

First time here and I’m impressed with the service and the food. I wanted a burger and they filled the order. I think next time I will do the double because I could us the extra beef. The fries are given out like potatoes are free. Order a small because it will be enough for you. They make sure you’re satisfied. I will be back.

Mooyah is another great burger joint in Morgan Hill. Its located in a small shopping plaza, so customers may have trouble finding parking. I love the concept of Building your own Burger(bun, cheese, toppings, etc). For the bun, customers can choose white, wheat, or lettuce. For the veggies, the choices are lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, relish, grilled onions, mushrooms, etc. There are also a lot of choices for the condiments. The concept is similar to Five Guys, but I felt the Mooyah burgers are much better. The bun is nice and soft. The vegetables taste very fresh. I really enjoyed the bbq sauce in the burger, and the beef patty is very juicy. There are plenty of tables inside the restaurant for customers to enjoy their meal. I’d definitely come back here again.

The employees are nice enough and seem to enjoy being there, the dining room is comfortable and the food is good, however, If i am going to pay nearly DOUBLE the price of In N out, I am going to need you to have a hostess seat me, a waiter take my order table side, retrieve my food, bring me refills and clear away the trays when Im done. Seriously, DOUBLE the price of similar burger joints??? This restaurant is best suited to someone who lives within walking distance and wants to pay for the convenience of not having to drive to Cochrane for a burger. Have to edit something… The price of the food could be justified if they pay their employees well above market wages for similar work at other burger joints.

The wife heard of this place so we decided to stop by last weekend. I like the concept of being able to customize your burger. It seems like every time I go to a restaurant and order a burger it’s never exactly how I want it so I have to say, «Gimme this but leave off the mayo», or «Can I have Swiss Cheese instead of American?» I always have to change things. So being able to order a burger EXACTLY how I wanted it was pretty cool. Burgers are a little pricey,(2 burgers, a shared order of fries and one drink came to about $ 20) but they are pretty tasty. Definitely a step up from your local McDonald’s or Burger King and you get to have the burger YOU want. Not the way someone else thinks it should be. Kudos Mooyah!

Well The Place Has Changed The Burgers are still very good. That’s if they make it the way you want it… I only had to bring it back once this time… they forgot stuff The staff isn’t as friendly as they use to be didn’t hear to many thank you’s … In today’s business that’s pretty important…

Okay… Hmm… I might’ve been a little over-eager in my first review. We’ve been here a handful of times since, and I’ve learned a few things. This place is overpriced. Most recently. I got a double(the patties are THIN, which I love, but I quickly learned a single wasn’t cutting it), and i paid extra for cheese, and extra for avocado. The only other thing I get on my burger is sauce… So I’m paying like $ 8 for a burger with just a few ingredients here. Those of you who get ALLTHETOPPINGS(hi husband) will get a better value here. Oh, and it’s $ 4 more for a drink and fries, and the serving of fries with the«meal» is tiny. So you are way better off getting a large(entire tray full of fries) and sharing. Okay, so that… And my burger was wayyy over salted. Hmm. Still tastes great.

Overall, my gf and I thought the food and prices were really good Food: We both got plain burgers(I got a double for only $ 1 more) and then split the large sweet potatoe fries. The fries were amazing and could’ve fed a family of 4 – 5 for sure. The burgers were juicy and tasty, but didn’t leave us feeling awful from the fat content. Definitely will visit again!

Pretty damn good. I met the owner a couple of weeks back while in the Verizon store next door, he brought us free fries lol. And they were delicious! So I brought my daughter here for some eats and the burgers are pretty bomb. Juicy tender patties, lots of options, but the menu is not complicated and that’s a perk. Service was good, and we even rang the cowbell on the way out!

Gross! The manager was changing her clothes(sweatshirt), taking her visor on and off and fixing her ponytail in the food prep area… right in front of customers!!! Prior to that she put her purse on the counter that the food is served on. Not kosher people!!! As for our burgers… flavor was good, but lacked in toppings. The mushrooms were sparse and the avocado brown, not to mention they didn’t put two of my items on my burger. I remember the first couple of times I have been here there were copious amounts of goodies on my burger, especially the mushroom, so much so that I needed a fork to eat the overspill. This place has digressed since they first opened.

Visit #1: I was looking for a restaurant to round out my Small Business Saturday. The first one that I wanted to try was closed, so I somehow ended up at MOOYAH, which seems to be a bit of a chain rather than a small business. Odd. I got a Mooyah Burger($ 4.99) on wheat. Cheddar was $ 0.70 more. I asked for lettuce, tomatoes, relish, grilled onions, and sauteed mushrooms as the condiments. I also picked up a turkey burger($ 5.69) with the exact same customizations. Boy was I creative, huh? I forgot to ask for a sauce on the burgers, so I had to request it on the side later. I decided on just Mooyah Sauce, although in hindsight, perhaps the honey mustard or BBQ sauce would have been nice with the turkey burger. First thing I noticed when biting in was the wheat bun. It has the expected wheat flavor without being dry, so it is a welcome alternative to the white buns that everyone has. The turkey was nice and moist, and the regular beef patty was delicious even though it was gray like at every other burger chain. The veggies were all good complements. The Mooyah Sauce is a little sweeter than something like the In-N-Out sauce, and it was a welcome complement(though not absolutely necessary). Visit #2: The first time at the restaurant, I had inadvertently gotten a quickly expiring offer by texting a number that showed up on the Mooyah slideshow TV. I went back a few days later to redeem that free burger with purchase of small fries($ 2.49) and drink. My order was similar to the first beef burger except that I got a white bun instead of wheat, pepper jack instead of cheddar, Mooyah Sauce in the burger itself instead of on the side, and fried onion strings instead of… uh, no fried onion strings. Well, that’s not completely accurate. They actually left out the lettuce, which was printed on the order slip. However, it may have actually been better without lettuce since lettuce contains very little flavor. the bigger issue was that the bun seemed to have been grilled at one point but came out lukewarm. When the shirts say«Fresh Hot Buns» on the back and they don’t deliver, that’s a definite disappointment. Thankfully, the rest of the burger was hot, tasted really meat, and actually contained pink meat that hadn’t been cooked to death. The fries were greasy, thickly cut like Five Guys, and varied in texture from soggy to crunchy. I did appreciate the liberal salting, although a few pieces were a bit overly seasoned. I’d rather have had the medium or large fries in retrospect because of the better value. In-N-Out is still my top pick for fast food burgers, but this is an intriguing alternative that’s a closer drive for Tennant Avenue residents. I haven’t been to Five Guys enough to make a definitive comparison, but MOOYAH definitely gives Five Guys a run for their money in the pricier, customizable fast food burger niche, and Morgan Hill is lucky to have all of these burger joints. (UPDATE1÷7÷15: Have been to Five Guys in Morgan Hill now. If you aren’t going for a turkey burger, sweet potato fries, or something else unique to MOOYAH, then Five Guys is better.)
