Attention Unilocalers, this restaurant is not anywhere near the red zone of stars! A rating which is good. Place is clean. Food however was not so good. If you’re not Mexican, and can’t tell the difference, then go ahead and eat here. Truth of the matter, food is not authentic, lacks the spices and seasonings to give it a Mexican flavor. The entire table of 12 was dissatisfied.

Love this place! We’ve been going for years. It’s one of the best Mexican restaurants in our area.

Ordered a coctel and it was good. I just wished they served tostadas with it, they only had saltine crackers. The carne asada tacos are ok, not the best I’ve tasted. It’s a good place to take the whole family, not loud music. It’s not too busy. It’s a little on the pricier side but overall it’s ok.

I love the food here. I have tried different items on the menu but my husband and I always return back to the El Gordo burrito… yummy. The customer service is great, I am greeted by name. Have been ordering food from El Rancho for over 5 years so I am leaving a well overdue compliment.

A bunch of us went for lunch from work. I had them make me a veggie burrito. It was really good. The chips and salsa even better.

Went yesterday during happy hour, 4p-6p, really good specials. Hubby got asada tacos, I got Pollo flautas, yummy. We also tried shrimp cerviche, also good, not salty like most places we will be back! Enjoy!

Terrible, TERRIBLE customer service. We waited 30 minutes for food. Had to ask for drinks, chips and salsa. Food was mediocre at best, not to say that other tables who arrived AFTER we did, were served FIRST! Very quick to include the gratuity in the bill, but slow to ask«is there anything else I can get you?» Never will we return to that rat hole.

We eat here from time to time, dine in and take out. Food quality is good not great but no real complaints. Service is prompt and friendly. Ambiance, not much. Doesn’t really have an identity. A juke box, tv’s with either soccer, «novella’s» or some other Mexican program, counter seating, booths and tables. We really like the menudo on sat’s or sun’s. They prepare it very well. Clean tripe, good red sauce with hominy. If your looking for good food at reasonable cost you won’t be disappointed. It’s nice for us as we are close by.

My husband and I love coming here to eat. The food is really good, large portions and the prices are fair not to mention you can call and place an order for pick up which we’ve done so many times. This has to be on of my favorite places in Moreno Valley to eat. Oh and they have their very own parking lot bc their tucked away in their very own corner. It’s easy to miss if your not paying attention. If your in the area you definitely gotta stop by and try thus place out.

I was told that they make one of the best fish tacos in town so I tried it out. Fish taco was amazing and offeres many authentic Mexican dishes. Prices are affordable with huge portions, never able to finish an entire plate. Place can be loud at times during busy hours and music playing loudly, but overall would go back for the fish tacos.

Odd that the person before me had exactly the same burrito(Chile Relleno) but a completely different experience. The burrito, while sizeable, was considerably smaller than Armando’s just down the street, but $ 3 more expensive. My friends had the carne asada tostada(She was clearly unimpressed and spent much of the time just swishing it around her plate and looking disappointed), the breakfast burrito(His comment: «I could’ve made a better burrito at home with some eggs, cheese, a tortilla, and nothing else. You know that feeling when you’re full, and totally unsatisfied? Yeah I hate it.») and the shredded beef tacos(Her comment: «Eh, they’re not bad, I guess.»). Another friend, and I forget what he ordered said«I can’t believe I just lost $ 11 on that.» We’ve had a couple friends say they liked it, but at $ 7 — $ 9 a plate, I’d have expected much better. The burrito plates didn’t even come with rice and beans on the side. It also took nearly 30 minutes for our food to come out, so I hope you’re on at least a 1 hour lunch-break. Service was friendly, but otherwise unremarkable. One of our friends recommended it, and the rest of us were left wondering what on earth he could’ve found so fantastic about the joint. Maybe it was an off-day? Maybe the regular cook was out? We won’t be going back to find out.

So I had a sales call the other day and we stopped here because it was the first Mexican place I saw. I got the chili rellano burrito and wow — not only was it HUMONGOUS but it was crazy yummy. I don’t hit MoVal much but I was definitely surprised by this place — I am a fan for sure!
