I’ve worn out the battery on my Verizon MiFi and want to buy a brand new, shiny, MHS291L Jetpack. It is supposed to have awesome battery life, along with better reception than my old MiFi. We’re on vacation near Moorehead City, and when I saw the bright, shiny Verizon store on U.S. 70, I decided I’d stop in and grab a new MiFi so I could take advantage of the better reception on our trip home. I walked into the store a hair before 7:40, which is 20 minutes before their posted closing time. As I walked in the door, a pleasant sounding gentleman behind the counter greeted me and said he’d have someone find me as soon as an associate was available. As I walked into the store, that gentleman and another person were assisting a lady, and several other associates were assisting other customers. The gentleman who had greeted me went into a back room for a brief period of time, and then returned to the counter. After wandering around the store for 10 minutes(yeah, I’m one of those people whose watch’s stopwatch function gets used any time a store employee says they’ll be with me shortly), I walked past the counter and out the front door. Right after I got into the car, the customer who’d been at the counter also left the store. My handy-dandy iPhone told me it was 7:54 and I briefly considered going back into the store to buy the MiFi. I didn’t consider re-entering the store for very long, because as the customer left the store, the two associate who had been assisting her locked the door. There may be a perfectly good reason for two associates to assist one customer while another customer spends 10 minutes wandering around the store. There may also be a perfectly good reason for the store door being locked 5 minutes before the posted closing time. Whatever the reasons may be, the fact that both those things occurred while I was in the store is reason enough for me to use my old MiFi during the trip home and then buy my new MiFi from a Verizon store that provides good customer service. Oh… one final note. This is the first«bad» review I’ve ever written on Unilocal.I tried to send an email to Verizon’s customer service, but they no longer accept emails. I tried to use Verizon’s online chat to express my disappointment, but their chat service was down. I would have much preferred using either of those methods to contact Verizon about my experience, but it looks like Verizon is striking out all the way around tonight.
