I always love coming here! The staff is super friendly and the drinks are delicious! I love getting the funky monkey with real banana! I had to spend hours here with my friends during my whole week of finals to study. It was a great environment to work in! I definitely recommend coming here!

The owner(I think he’s the owner) is so sweet! I got a free coffee chip at moorpark college and came in today to use it. There’s so many options, they had free samples of their delicious baked goods, and my matcha green tea latte was delicious. I’ll definitely be back :)

Came here for a meeting Friday morning. Fast service and delicious espresso!!! Can’t wait to come back to try the tasty-looking pastries! The atmosphere was cozy coffee shop but with tables spaced far enough apart for private conversations.

+ comfortable seats: one of the few coffee shops in the area with some + nice owner + décor /environment — some of the employees could be more personable — on the expensive side — iced cups: flimsy, lids don’t seal well — comfortable seats are getting a bit old /dirty, and broken down. still better than all chairs!

One of my favorite coffee shops, I love their chai tea and horchata latte! They even offer rice milk, which is a huge + for me :)

I came around 11:30AM on a Monday and it was pretty relaxed. I got the caramel coconut sandy iced latte which was too sweet for my taste but I drank it anyways. I needed the caffeine for my next class! Staff was friendly and delivered my drink to my table! Never had that happen at a coffee place before. Will definitely come back.

Love this place! I come here everyday during my school break, and I’m always treated with such respect. Seriously, there isn’t one negative thing I have to say! Try their passionfruit tea with peach sweetener.

Love It’s a Grind and this location did not disappoint while we were driving through the area. Service was great and our drinks perfect! They have a huge menu of hot, iced and blended options available, I went with the funky monkey and loved it! A whole banana, peanut butter and chocolate, I was full the rest of the day to say the least. Excellent quality coffee, made well and in a descent time frame. Prices are average and they have large sizes available as well, worth returning!

With 25+ locations, «It’s a Grind» is a marketing monster with branding up the ying-yang starting with the front door signage. With branding or catch phrases like High Octane, Funky Monkey, or Tahitian Coconut Crunch. Everywhere you look, high and low, it says something. ============ Location details ============ Moorpark, CA – located off East Los Angeles Ave in the Target center, it’s a drive thru the large parking lot to get to. Could be more convenient. Next to a GNC, Brick Oven Pizza, Sam’s Flaming Grill, and Kiku Japanese Grill. While there’s 8 kinds of coffees, they are pre-made in airpots, and charge $ 1 extra for a refill. Not my favorite, but the dark roast was worthy. I also ordered a Bagel & Cream Cheese… and the bagel was great. While true, there a little in your face with marketing, in the end, the service won me over. Nice, smiley, and if your order requires them to make it(as orders often do), they’ll come out from behind the counter and hand it to you where your sitting. No calling out«Matilda» here.

Very laid back place to grab some coffee. All the employees were friendly and seemed like they enjoyed their jobs. I tried the breakfast sandwich and was impressed.

It’s a Grind in Moorpark has been my home away from home for the last 10 years. I go there nearly every day. I’ve known both the original owner, Bill Stack, and the current owners, Brian and Judy Corralejo, as well as several«generations» of baristas. In fact, a substantial fraction of the people I know in Moorpark are folks that I’ve met here. Throughout all these years, this very special place has consistently maintained a Cheers-like atmosphere, which was the stated goal of the first owner, Bill. Brian and Judy have succeeded well in keeping that atmosphere. I almost always order the same drink, a double espresso, and every barista quickly learns that. I hardly have to say anything to get my fix. I’d like to add that the espresso is quite good and certainly better than that at Starbucks. The flavor is rich and well-balanced, being neither tangy nor bitter. I heartily recommend this warm, cozy coffeehouse to everyone!

My husband and I happily drive 45 minutes from Santa Paula just to visit It’s a Grind. The staff is so friendly and the drinks and pastries are always delicious. Thank you for the great customer service!

I visit this joint about four times a year when I’m back home in Moorpark. Far superior to Starbucks, so we’re lucky to have It’s A Grind in this small town of ours! Crowded at 4 pm on a Tuesday evening, the interior is very cozy(though chilly. Be equipped with a jacket, folks!), and the staff is friendly and accommodating to all of its customers’ requests. They have almond and soy milk for those who are avoiding dairy and Stevia is available upon request. Looks like they got rid of happy hour($ 1 off drinks within a certain time frame) so I would love to see that come back. I ordered the large black iced tea with about 3 inches of almond milk, easy ice(always ask for EZ ice if you want more drink in your cup) for $ 2.95. And the Large is equivalent to the size of Starbucks’ infamous Trenti! More bang for your buck. Love love it. Add 3 packets of Stevia, and you’ve got yourself a «black tea latte» ;)

We don’t have any of these chains in the valley, so I was excited to finally try the coffee. The atmosphere is very home-y with the big comfy couches and art on the walls. The selection of coffee is GREAT! They offer different selections varying from light to bold. I prefer the Sumatra when they have it available. The price for a cup of coffee is in comparison to that of starbucks. Rainy day schedule? No problem! They offer a great selection of board games to kill that gloomy boredom. Free WIFI, good coffee, good service. What more can you ask for?

This is one of the only chain coffee places that could potentially rival some of the better unique hidden coffee shoppes out there. The espresso is so fresh and they constantly have new amazing flavor creations. They for sure aren’t on the skinny side, but not too sweet either. I’m loving… Hawaiian Sea Salted Carmel Pistachio Nut Pumpkin Carmel Pecan Coconut Crunch Mocha Java Rush Note– the sizes are larger than normal and iced drinks are bigger than the hot ones. A regular Hot drink is 16oz & a regular cold is 24oz.
