Fabulous idea, but has closed rather abruptly! I received an e-mail from one of the vendors last night that it had closed. No further info as yet. I hope someone can take up this unique idea and get it going again soon, as it had lots of vendors offering something a little different.

The Community Marketplace is a great concept and a great shopping experience! There are a wide range of friendly vendors that offer diverse and quality products. Many shops are occupied. Because of the immense size of the marketplace there are wonderful business opportunities for new vendors to come in. The marketplace is indoors, clean, and cool, which is a nice change from some outdoor malls that are hot and windy. My favorite section is Mayhem Mercantile! What a creative venue with artisans, artists, restoration specialists and antique dealers. It’s like a fun indoor street fair!

Dear Marketplace Operations, I am a shopper for the area and wanted to see what this place was all about, soI stopped by your redefined swap meat, specialty store, and did not see 90 shops, like the sign reads, false advertising, I would say maybe at most 45 stores. What I did see was more like a large warehouse, with some neatly organized booths, walking down the main aisle. The people were very friendly, and Ellington had a beautiful selection of patio furniture. Other booths had a nice assortment of clothing and soap, and beautiful gifts from the Lemon Tree, great deals with Bull Dog. But what happened next was quite the unexpected. Walking into Mayhem mercantile was Mayhem alright(definition of the word Mayhem: a state of rowdy disorder) and mercantile was more like merchant pile! So cluttered, like a scene from hoarders. The lady in charge even looked like part of the place, made out of a lacy rags, and blended in with the entire area, like a lost soul, fallen from the expanding wings hanging from the wall. Over all, a bit too much on the eyes. If I were to rate the place, I would give the middle row an «B» rating, for alright, the auto row, a «B-» for being by itself, as there was no one in sight, and the third row a «C-», for crazy and cluttered. I hope my shopping experience will help you see what we see, and to take our criticism as a way to improve your place for a happy shopping experience. We will hopefully be back in the hopes of some nice changes. Thank you.

The Community Marketplace is nailing it with this concept! The 805 is in desperate need of something fun and unique. With almost 100 vendors, and plenty of room to grow, I’m sure this place will be a top attention grabber in the next year! Each vendor brings something new to the table and the best part — all items you don’t find in a traditional mall! I love the Community Marketplace!

Great deals on everything from clothing/accessories, aftermarket auto, to home décor. And a great concept for someone who wants to start their own business.

Great place for weekend shopping… felt 80’s nostalgia going back to my teen years walking up and down the aisles seeing what goodies the vendors had to offer… unique jewelry, clothing, bakery items, dog items, gardening, home décor… this place is awesome. This place is my new regular stop while I am out and about on the weekends!

Must visit the gentleman in booth #404 for a meticulously crafted, professional men’s haircut. Price for this great service? $ 10!

Finally a local place to meet with friends and do some shopping, not your average run of the mill smelly old swap meet! This place has CHARM, CLEANLINESSAND above all NOJUNK! All of the vendors are super friendly and eager to help. I got most of my Christmas shopping done there. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Community Marketplace, and will definitely will be telling all my friends about this place, I cant wait for more vendors to join and I hear they soon will host events too! Way to go Moorpark!

This place is a swap meet, but it isn’t? I came here and was super slow on Friday evening… vendors were just chatting with the people next door, reading books, listening to music on their headphones. Didn’t see anything all that great, not many transactions taking place other than at the Somis Nut House… Hopefully some better vendors come in, otherwise I can’t see this place sticking around for too long. Moorpark is a picky and demanding town…

What a concept! I visited the Community Marketplace this weekend and was very surprised at what I found. It was nothing like what I had pictured in my mind! This is a total win-win for small businesses and the City of Moorpark! I’m so excited how Moorpark has broken the barrier to help small businesses. This will bring people from neighboring cities near and far to shop & eat in Moorpark. If you haven’t been, go check it out! It is awesome!

A fantastic concept that is still growing, but offers a lot to those that visit. Very clean as it’s brand new. Many different vendors and services are already being offered. Food trucks are typically outside the main entrance which gives shoppers varied eating and snack choices. Hopefully this place becomes one of the premier shopping locales in the area, be sure and take a look!
