Greasy spoon at its best! Good prices. Extremely sweet people. Definitely gets crowded for both breakfast and lunch. Standing room only! Their menu is very limited to some breakfast sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken salad sandwich. Closed on Sunday’s. And after 2:00 pm.

Probably one of the top 10 chili dogs in North Carolina, yet I still have to wrestle with myself trying to decide if I want the dog or the chili cheeseburger. Great place!

Another restaurant that I’ve been going to for many years. A quaint little diner at the end of the street, this place is great for small family lunches. Food is good and the staff is even better, but definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat.

We were looking for a quick lunch in downtown Mooresville and decided to stop by Bob’s Grill. I’ve passed it many times but since it’s only open from 6 am to 2 pm, it was typically closed when I was there. First up, cash(or local check) only. Bob’s has been a downtown staple for 21 years and it’s definitely a local’s type of place. The staff is incredibly friendly and made suggestions for lunch. We opted for grilled chicken salad sandwiches… They were great. If you like creamy, homemade, chicken salad, this is the place for you. My husband took the advice of the server and added an apple pie to his order. It was a pastry filled with dried apples and such which they then proceeded to grill in butter. OMG! Stay away if you are on a diet. Bob’s Grill offers full-fat, comfort food for breakfast and lunch! We’re planning to stop by for breakfast one morning(open every day but Sunday) since the server said it was even better than lunch. She said it gets pretty busy in there so plan a few extra minutes… It’s not really a sit-down place but there are a couple benches along one wall and a counter along the other. We had our meal, standing at the counter. A couple other people were there, shooting the breeze and enjoying some lunch. If you like to eat where the locals eat, then Bob’s Grill is your kind of place. Great food, very inexpensive and wonderful service!
