I have eaten here many times but last night will be my last. We had an very inattentive waiter who was rushing us out at the end of our meal and disappeared during our meal. We arrived at the restaurant an hour and a half before they closed. And the whole time we felt like we were holding them up and being rushed out. We had to find our waiter to ask him for dessert and a coffee. So sorry to bother you! It’s a shame because this restaurant is byob and close to my house. If the food was amazing I would give it another chance but it’s not worth it. There are much better Italian restaurants in collingswood. I would say the food is very average.

I went here for a work lunch and it was fantastic. I forgot what good Italian food tasted like since moving to the Philly suburbs. This place reminded me of North Jersey good Italian food. Spot on with all the meals and the service was great.

Really nice staff but mediocre Italian food served luke warm. We went here for a large group dinner around Christmas mostly because it was a BYOB and there was no fixed menu for a group of 10. We ordered numerous appetizers including, fried gnocchi, calamari, garlic pizza bread, fried zucchini. It was all just ok. The main courses were unadventurous Italian American selections. The sauces were just meh. Three of us ordered 3 different chicken dishes and they all came out with the same sauce. Boring. Although the staff was very accommodating, the food was too lack luster to return.

This is my husband’s and my go-to place for a good meal, friendly atmosphere and charming décor. The specials such as the filet or short ribs are excellent! The byob option makes this place that much more appealing. Sometimes the risotto is a bit too salty but they do so much so very well! Try the meat sauce and the mussels. You won’t be disappointed! Tiramisu is awesome. If you are planning a big family dinner, check this place out. They are very accommodating. This is a place where they remember you. It’s nice to feel so welcomed!

I purchased a Living Social deal for Barone’s.(You never know what you are going to get with a Living Social deal… could be a good place just looking to bring in more business or a not so great place that is desperate.) Thankfully, Barone’s turned out to be a great restaurant. The food was yummy, the service was good, nice atmosphere, etc. I am baffled by the bad reviews, but I guess there will always be some complainers. All I know is I’ll definitely be coming back.

This food is exceptional. We usually order the specials and they are always deliscious. The print on the menu is too small, but that is minor since you are going for the food.

I have to tell you that I am disappointed with reviews that rate this restaurant good. I heard mixed opinions and tried it Saturday night. It was a horrible experience. Probably one of the worst experiences in the area. I was there with a party of 10 so it was not polite to complain, but I need to let others know now. They are understaffed in my opinion taking on too many large parties. 1st off we were there for over 30 minutes until they served any bread. That is way too long. They served Gorgonzola salads without Gorgonzola… they did take that off the bill when the 3 that ordered those salads complained. I ordered the fried risotto balls and I can imagine that would be good if they were served hot. This place has hard time serving hot food and that’s just wrong. My veal dish saltibuc dish was tough and not very tasty. It was also slightly warm. The swordfish that my wife had was very fishy and also served slightly warm and over a massive bed of lentil. That was wired in the first place. She threw out the left over takeaway. The other crazy thing is they only have one bathroom… that is unisex… how do they even get away with that in Moorestown. Who is the inspector in that town? There is way too many people there for one bathroom. I hope this helps someone else from making this a destination. Do yourself a favor and try due amici in Cinnaminson as that is a great Italian restaurant and also a byob. I just wish I would have looked deeper at the other reviews of Barones before we tried it.

Website, Google, and Unilocal all say 10p daily. Bought Living Social, went in at 8:20p. Told us kitchen was closed. Told us website was wrong. It’s generally bad business to listed on 3 different directories with incorrect hours. That just goes to show how much management cares about doing business well. Oh well. Got my refund, spend my dollars elsewhere.

Well I wish I could rate the food and experience at the restaurant, but unfortunately we never got sat due to no hostess at the stand. We waited for about 7 mins and did not get acknowledge by any of the staff that walked by at all. The line of people when we gave up waiting was about 4 couples still waiting for attention. Thanks for making my few date nights I have off to a bad start guess it somewhere else now.

As soon as you walk in you feel the authentic Italian ambience, from the décor to the Italian servers. The food is delicious and the servings are huge. Great place for a romantic date night!

We had a delicious meal at Barone’s and we loved almost everything about our experience. First of all, the rolls they serve are delicious. They’re not the usual boring, afterthought bread that most restaurants serve. The rolls are golden on all sides and hearty, like Panini. The house salad is included in the meal, however, we opted to upgrade to Caesar salads for an additional $ 2 each. For an appetizer, we ordered the Arancini(fried risotto balls) and let me tell you… this was one the most delectable things I have ever eaten. Ever. The risotto balls were served over a creamy parmesan sauce. I could eat a couple orders of these and not even get an entrée and I would be happy as a clam. For our entrees hubby got a pasta dish, which I cannot remember the name of(and which is not listed on the on-line menu), which had a creamy pesto sauce. It was out of this world delicious. I ordered the Ravioli Rosa(lobster ravioli) which was served in a creamy tomato sauce which too was delicious. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate mousse cake and hubby ordered a berry tart. Both were fantastic. Creamy, light and mildly sweet and just the right portion size — the perfect ending to a delicious meal! There are a couple minor criticisms, which remove a star from my review. The croutons in the Caesar salad, while homemade and nice and crunchy, had an off-taste which I suspect was that of rancid Canola oil. Hubby agreed with this assessment. Had the croutons not tasted funny, the Caesar salad would be rated outstanding. Secondly, my entrée was served only lukewarm, and I had to ask the waiter to heat it up more for me. Thirdly, the service was friendly, but not as attentive as possible. Our water glasses were not kept filled and we were not checked on regularly. However, all of the items we ordered were delivered promptly. All in all, we really liked Barone’s and will certainly return again! UPDATE: We visited again(in November) and had a similar experience. Food was very good, delicious bread. We didn’t have the Caesar salad, so I can’t comment about the croutons. Service just okay — again, friendly but missing things. Once again, my entrée was brought out lukewarm and I had to send it back to be reheated. Overall, another good visit, though.

Ate here a bunch of times for lunch and it was always good and fairly priced. Would have given 3 stars, but I came here in Father’s Day and had the best pork chop of my life… It’s pretty unfair to even call it a pork chop. I still think about it.

This was, hands down, one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had. From the warm bread to start, and an excellent salad, the meal was off to a good start. The waiter made a few recommendations for entrées, both of which(including gluten free ravioli for my wife) were outstanding. The sauces were excellent, and very well matched to the dishes. Having had a superb experience so far, it was hard for us to imagine that dessert would live up to the standard, but it — a crème brûlée pie — stole the show. Everything was delicious, and the portions were large at very reasonable prices. Our server, Philip, was also great — all of his suggestions were spot on and he was very knowledgeable. The atmosphere of the patio dining was great too. The restaurant is BYOB, so you’ll be disappointed if you don’t know that in advance and go looking for the wine list. As somebody who was only visiting town, the only complaint I have about this restaurant is I don’t know when I’ll get a chance to return.

My first time going to this restaurant was a nice one. The server was pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. I was very impressed. The food was good and priced fairly. This restaurant is a BYOB. Our server properly uncorked our wine, was very attentive and took care of everything nicely. We asked for separate checks and that wasn’t a problem either. Only one issue occurred when I got my coffee. The creamer curdled and ruined it. Fortunately, our server promptly replaced my coffee in no time. Rarely, do things go perfectly. Good restaurants can quickly recover when things occasionally go wrong. This is a good restaurant.

I dined here on Saturday evening. It deserves five stars! Amazing service, FANTASTIC food, and lovely décor. It was kind of dark, a little loud, and a hard to read menu. But that didn’t bother me at all or give me a less than excellent experience. I had the Mediterranean salad instead of house salad, char fish with a creamy pasta as a side. I’m not usually a fan of pasta but this was cooked to perfection. I’ve never tasted fish so well made that it melted in your mouth. Our server, was sweet, a great listener, and worked well with my father’s wife’s diet. They accommodated quickly without reservations and not even a minute wait. Even though it was super busy; our food came out hot and perfect and we weren’t waiting around. I’m definitely going back!

I’ve been here twice. For lunch and dinner. The food is decent and the service is good. My husband likes the bolognese. I’ve had a mussel antipasta dish which I liked in the past during dinner. Today my husband I came for lunch. I had the vongole(clams with garlic white wine sauce) with linguini. It was ok, but a little bland for my taste. There is one thing I have to mention after having eaten there today. We did not realize that we had been overcharged $ 9 for our meal because we had to be back at work and left immediately after having paid. I called the restaurant to have the manager check our bill and was told that«the kid» punched in the dinner price instead of the lunch price. He apologized to me, but I felt like in a way to just brush me off. He proceeded to say it happens and that it’s happened before there. He offered to take off the amount from the tip or give us a credit for the next time we return. Out of convenience and a quick resolution, I agreed to just have him take the difference out of the tip my husband left, which still left them with more than 25% tip. So my advice to anyone who decides to eat here is to be extra cautious and pay attention to the bill, especially as this seems to be a recurring issue.

Went here for lunch during work with coworkers. I wanted good italian while back home for a while and this place was on point. Even though I just got a salad, it was really good. The soup someone else got looked great and he said it was. The bread in the beginning was very good too. The place was packed so I imagine it is a good place for lunch, not sure about dinner. I’ll be back when I get back to town.

What can you say about mediocre? It’s a safe place to go I guess? Just not a fan as everything seems to cater to old-people bland.

One word: NO. Just say it when you’re dining friends suggests coming here. Re-start the search. Game over. This is the best advice I can give you for this one. The service was HORRIBLE. We waited 25 minutes for the salad that comes with our entrée and it was lettuce with dressing and two small roma tomatoes. They ran out of soda. Seriously. The entrée showed up 20 minutes after and I would have rather ordered delivery than the lobster ravioli in a cream sauce. What made it worse was the owner(?) who kept walking around showing off. Please go in the back room and figure out how to fix the quality of what is put on a plate, how to keep up with orders and how to make more room so people aren’t forced to sit so close. The lady next to me practically had her coat in my lap all night.
