Don’t see how this place has averaged 4 stars, UNLESS it is for service and NOT the food. Stopped by around 4:30 pm with my husband driving back to Texas. Service was great(Gage?) and unforfunately, it just went down from there. 1st indication? Tomato based salsa with no kick. Even the cheese dip did not make up for it. I ordered the Guiso verde and again, no «kick» to it– bland and dry(which was supposed to be served in a sauce!), flavorless. Beans were meh, rice meh. Guacamole was meh– can you tell I was unimpressed?! Husband ordered 2 shrimp tacos. When I read the description and saw cheese, I was like, OK!- and not in a good way! I mean, how can you put CHEESE on shrimp?! Hubby mentioned that he tasted the bacon, and I am like, BUTTHEYARESHRIMPTACOS! Very expensive $ 10 for 2 tacos. He also ordered a chicken quesadillas and ate half of it– also not impressed. Maybe it is just us, but with a name like«Alfredo’s Mexican Café» you would think you are getting some authentic Mexican food– unfortunately you realize the visit was a complete letdown. Never again will we visit here(and we come through regularly) — unless of course, we want some meh food. I am used to some spicy, flavorful Mexican. We noticed the steady stream of customers and it was obvious that they were not hispanic customers. Which means hispanics they know better than to eat here for authentic food– ain’t getting any here!

Terrible customer service. Waited 10 minutes for anyone to wait on us. Finally had to go ask the hostess to get a manager. Finally was waited on. The food came out promptly but I just say it was so so. Not much seasoning.

Major fail on my large group. One friend’s order had to be made 3x before they put chili sauce instead of sour cream sauce. Asked for tortillas at the beginning. Received them 15 minutes after fajitas were delivered to four of our friends. Worse part — There was an 18% tip included(understood). Gave a minimal additional tip because of the service. SURPRISE — my credit card was run for an extra $ 6.50.

Most of our meal was good and our server was very nice, but I found the prices astronomical for the quality of the meal. My husband’s plate was badly cracked, with a 2″ chip out of the ceramic on one side and should have been retired(for cleanliness, not looks). The queso served with the chips and salsa was very watery and didn’t congeal at all when it cooled which I found really odd, and the«fried beans» were obviously canned beans run through a blender. The guacamole was excellent and the fajita meat was good, but not good enough to make up for the mediocrity of the rest of the experience. Oh, almost forgot to add that we were initially planning on sharing an appetizer since we were travelling and very tired. We were informed that we would be charged a $ 6.95 fee($ 4.99 according to the website and $ 5.95 according to the menu, I later found) for the chips, salsa, and queso to do so. I asked if we could skip the chips and was told we would be charged the fee in any case because I had eaten one already.

Great food tonight. We have had trouble getting seated the last few times we have been in. There is 6 of us and they keep seating tables of five in front of us after we have waited for over thirty mins two separate times. But yes finally after 6 months we were able to get seated and enjoyed a great meal.

One of my favorite small mexican restaurants to go to when I just want a margarita and some queso. This place can be pretty hit and miss though as far as service and food.

We found Alfredo’s on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. Since it was 6:30 on Sunday night and there was a 40 minute wait we decide it must be worth it. A wait at a good restaurant just extends the experience and this was no exception. They give you chips, salsa, and queso right off the bat and then offer pickled carrots, corn salsa and additional tortillas if you’re interested. The carrots are an old favorite of ours from when we lived in Southern California and the corn salsa is outstanding. I could have eaten these things and gone home satisfied. But I ordered the fried tacos with shredded beef and when that plate showed up I wished I were two people. Soooo good. The Mexican mashed potatoes are fabulous. We really enjoyed our entire experience and our waiter Derek was friendly and helpful!

The food is your typical tex-mex food so don’t expect more than that. The service is decent everyone is friendly. If you are ok with an atmosphere that is a bit louder than most and open then you won’t have a problem here. My only complaint is that the bathrooms were filthy… the worst part was that an employee came in to change the paper towels and did nothing about the bathroom being a complete disaster.

Love this place! When I want mexican I always refer to coming here. Love their enchiladas, tacos, and quesdillas! Salsa and cheese are delicious and love both their corn and flour tortillas!

I came here at 3:00 in the afternoon and over ½ the restaurant was empty but I was told there was a 15 minute wait. So as I sat in the lobby along with 15 other people waiting to be seated, we all watched as the staff laughed and played around. When I finally got seated it took awhile before a server showed up and when they did the chips were stale and my food was cold. Very disappointed in the whole experience. Won’t be back.

The food was amazing. We dropped in based off of other reviews and sure enough it was great. They seated us quickly. They brought free queso and salsa right away. You could fill up on just that!!! I tried the Deluxe Fajita Nachos and they were the best I have ever had, lots of cheese and steak. The food was served very quickly. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who wants great food and service.

Outstanding. Nothing to complain about. Free chips and salsa. My first time here and I had the Alfredo’s Special to sample their Shredded Beef Taco(a meal by its self); Cheese Enchilada(added onions on top — yum); Shredded Beef Tamale(yummy); rice and beans. Great service — Christina was wonderful! This is my new go to for Tex-Mex. wish I could give them 10 stars!

We come here pretty often. The food is always hot, comes out quick, and tastes good. Sometimes the service is good and sometimes it’s so-so. I can’t tell if the tortillas are homemade or not– maybe they’re homemade somewhere else and then brought there in packages, but they’re definitely not as good as Ricky’s Café homemade flour tortillas. Good place overall and good prices!

Our go-to Mexican place in Moore. Love the food — from the shrimp to the tamales or the tacos — it’s all good! Service is always spot-on. Can be a little pricey but not anymore than the other Mexican places.

My son and I had dinner at Alfredo’s on a Sunday. It was crowded, at least 80% full, but we got right in. Almost as soon as our butts hit the chairs we had chips, salsa, and queso. The chips are standard, but the salsa was a lot chunkier than typical salsa you see at these joints. It had a nice freshness as well, I liked it. The cheese sauce was standard as well, I added some salsa and jalapenos(from the relish) to mine. I went with the chicken fajita chimichanga with Mexican style corn and«Mexican» mashed potatoes. I put the«Mexican» in quotes because these potatoes were basic mashed potatoes(skin on, which is a plus) with cheese melted on top. I was expecting some peppers or flavor somewhere. This was the only weak part of the meal. The corn was good, flavored with cream and cheese. I could have used some more flavor, maybe some seasoning, but I’d get it again. The chimichanga is a decent size. It’s not the largest I’ve ever seen, but it certainly filled me up. The fajita meat was juicy and plentiful, and they used some dark meat, which is my favorite. My only complaint about the chimichanga was they didn’t fry it long enough. So, it wasn’t crispy in a couple of spots. But, 30 or so more seconds in the fryer and you’d have something here. My boy had a cheese quesadilla and we added fajita chicken to it. I think that cost a buck, maybe 2. This is served with 2 sides and of course the set up. It’s a nice size quesadilla, he is 4 and didn’t finish it. But, it would have been a good sized meal for him. There are maybe 4 – 6 options on the kids’ menu, and the prices aren’t crazy. Considering the chips/queso/salsa/tortillas you get gratis, it’s a great deal. For dessert, we tried one of each sopapilla: cinnamon/sugar and glazed. The cinnamon/sugar was standard. It was fried dough with cinnamon and sugar on top, so that’s usually not a bad thing. I didn’t care for the glaze, the glaze wasn’t sweet enough I think. Never thought I’d say that about glaze. I wouldn’t order that again. Service was FANTASTIC. Drinks were refilled when half full, people constantly removing empty plates or bringing us more sauce. But, they didn’t make us feel rushed. At some tex mex joints(Ted’s in Norman, for example) they have good service, but it’s clear they want you to eat and get out so they can turn the table over. At Alfredo’s, we felt very welcome. I would absolutely return, can’t believe I have driven past it so many times and didn’t stop… UPDATE: After eating in at Alfredo’s, we got it to go one evening. Love their take out service. They have a dedicated area for take out, so you aren’t at the bar or hostess station with all of the in restaurant diners. Also, they open every item to make sure it was correct and ensure that your order is complete. Finally, you get pints of queso and salsa and whatever else(relish, hot sauce, tortillas, etc) you request. If you call your order in, it’s an easy in and out.

This one is quickly becoming a family favorite. The staff is great with kids and it’s easy to get in and out, with the family. The service is great and the food is among some of the better Mexican I’ve had here in OK. Defiantly ask for the green spicy salsa if you go. The kids menu is very affordable and potions leave us with to-go boxes as well. The wait staff is great so if you have questions just let them know. They can help you find what you’re looking for. Overall great place.

My daughter and I stopped by for lunch and were excited to see how Mexican food in OK compares to what we’re accustomed to in NorCal. The service was prompt and courteous. The restaurant was quite busy and clean. The staging area was not quite so clean, especially the floor, but that’s to be expected during a rush. I ordered two crispy tacos but received two enchiladas. The server corrected the mistake very quickly. My beer was served in a frosty glass w/crushed lime and was the best part of the meal(3.2% isn’t their fault). My main complaint is that my meal was so incredibly salty, which is common in restaurants that do not rely on fresh herbs/spices for flavor. The food quality was just bland and canned(and why even serve canned cheesy stuff? Gross). I wasn’t even comfortable giving my dog any of the leftover meat bc of the ridiculous amount of sodium. Honestly, my fingers were puffy by bedtime and I’m not super sensitive to salt. It was just okay. I think I’ll try the Mercado around the corner instead. Or just stick w/Phở.

Alfredo’s is a fun Mexican food restaurant. They have the environment and décor down. You immediately get the feel of a good Mexican Restaurant when you walk in. They offer chips, queso, salsa, spicy salsa, relish, corn salsa, and tortillas all at no cost. We enjoyed the chips, salsa, and queso. We went to eat here with another couple and we both ordered the fajitas for two. They got chicken and steak, and we ordered the chicken fajitas. You get four sides with this order. I ordered a double salad, which didn’t really look like a salad but more like sides of lettuce cheese and tomato on a plate. The fajitas however were delicious and the tortillas were really good. Alfredo’s had really quick service even for being really busy. If you like Mexican food give it a try!

Here’s the scoop amigos! Coming soon, a 4th location of Alfredo’s Mexican café! Olé! Set to open November 10th in Bethany, OKlahoma this new location will be located at McAurther &39th street. Serving the locals & new comers alike the same tex– mex yummyness and fresh house made flour & corn tortillas that they are already serving up in Edmond(3409 south broadway) Moore(2713 south I35 service road at 19th street) and Yukon(1751 Garth Brooks Blvd) On our way down south, hubby & I cruised by the Moore location, stopped in for a couple margaritas & a little taco tex-mex fix as hubby was craving something cheesy :) We didn’t wait but maybe 15 mins for a table as the place was packed! We were quickly seated as The free servings of thin crispy fresh chips, salsa, & queso came quick, hot and above par than most tex-mex free offerings. I found the queso has a nice kick to it as we ate a couple little servings each! Yum! cheesy craving satisfied :)‘ They also offer strawberry, mango, & lime margaritas. They are tasty too, strong and pirate size just like I like them! Olé! Lol Hubby got the trio of one crispy beef taco, one crispy shredded chicken taco & one chili rellino. Comes with two sides of your choice. Hubby got rice and fried beans with jalapeño! Go behbay! Taking a walk on the wild side making it caliente! I was feeling ya! I also got the trio of one crispy beef taco, one carnitas, & one shrimp taco, sides of Mexican corn & Mexican mashed potatoes YUMMY! «Sometimes you just got to live a little!» Lol Cheesy & yummy & as fresh crispy tex-mex tacos can be, they come with lettuce, tomato, and yep more CHEESE! Lol The chili rellino behbay said was excellently cheesy as he could only eat half. I did not attempt this as its too heavy a dish for my liking. Yes, WARNING: only serious cheese lovers attempt this dish :)) The first beef taco I got was cold, I mentioned it was cold and like 30 seconds later a fresh hot one showed up as I just chomped it! Crispy beefyliciousness! :)’ wish I would have gotten two of those! My shrimp taco was kinda freaky for me as they come with mushrooms, cheese, & bacon. I skipped this to take home. My carnitas was not a carnitas at all it was a beef fajita taco but I had taken a monster CC bite out of it & decided not to mention this mess up as it was also Yummyliciousness :)‘ The Mexican corn stole the show and Mexican mashed potatoes with wait for it… wait for it… more CHEESE lightly sprinkled on top was super yummy and went well with that beef fajita taco the mexi GODs served me from the mexi-mix up heavens! :-)‘ The service was a little off as per the slight mix up but all was taken care of promptly, professionally and to our satisfaction. Good customer service. yeah! I appreciate that, well done! ;) Alfredo’s is as popular as ever, the newest location in Bethany will be a welcomed addition to feed our little inner cheesy craving tex-mexi-can mongers! Super excited about the new location Ignacio, manager of the Moore location, says don’t forget to stop in on Wednesdays for the $ 1.99 beer special! :)) Yes! It’s a lot of calories to stuff this cheesy tex-mex yumminess in your pie hole! That’s what margaritas & dancing is for! Olé! Lol As the 4th location will be opening soon I look forward to feeding my little inner Mexican again on November 10th! Arriba arriba! See you there amigos! Hasta la wego! ;)
