Food taste great. Not oily or over fried. Speedy delivery service. Gave a 35 min era and arrived in 10 and the food was fresh! Recommend.

If you like bland, nearly tasteless food, this is the place for you. Stopping here was a bit random on the way back from an errand but the place presents well and the staff is hospitable. They deliver which is always a plus for future reference but the food is nearly tasteless. Vegetables in garlic sauce had no garlic and no kick to it despite the spicy designation on the menu. Moreover, it was inundated with tofu which was not mentioned and there were few vegetables.(Due to current dietary restrictions I must avoid tofu and would not have ordered the dish if I had known) It should have been called tofu with vegetables for those who enjoy the combination but definitely not garlic. Or spicy. Hot and sour soup was neither; it needed the addition of vinegar at home to give it any zing. Few vegetables and again, inundated with tofu. I was hoping that I I had found a good local place, but sadly no. So dissaponting.

No sure whether they have changed owner or chef(s) recently, but they have gone from merely mediocre to damn awful in the last 6 months. The General Tso’s I just ordered is dry and bland. Tso’s used to come with lots of spicy sauce and be really tasty. Now it’s just dry as a bone and tasteless. Almost like they just heated up yesterday’s leftovers. Same with the beef dishes — not spicy at all, not enough sauce, and the beef«chunks» are not appetizing, at least when compared to other places that stick with the«strips» Will not be ordering more food from them unless they improve considerably.

Good Chinese food and generous portions. The food is fresh and tasty. I just moved to this area and am happy to have a go to Chinese food restaurant not far from home.

Good, local Chinese take out place. No on-site seating but they’re fast and the food is reasonably priced for the amount you receive.

Thieves!!! They offer free chicken with purchase then try to give you dumplings. I said whatever. Anything is fine. They gave me NOTHING. THIEVES. And that’s after coming here at least once a week for 5 years.

Very average Chinese joint. decent food, but nothing special. there is no option to dine in, only take out. I had the Sesame Chicken and it was very breaded.

I ordered from here a couple of times as my coworkers wanted this. The food is below average for me especially since I grew up eating Chinese food. There’s nothing special here. I forgot the exact name of the dish I ordered but it was pretty much cabbage drenched in gravy with a couple piece of chicken.

Your average Chinese take-out. Decent staff, but they clearly just want to get the job done. No seating to dine in. Faster then expected delivery. Food is decent and not too oily. But as expected, all the meats have a large breaded exterior and a minimal amount of meat.

I’ve tried Chinese restaurants from all of Bergen County in an attempt to find the best one. Little did I know, one of the northern-most restaurants would be the cream of the crop. I ordered my usual, General Tso Chicken Lunch Special with Pork Fried Rice. There are no tables inside, but there are about 6 chairs with a tea stand, counter, and a soda machine. The guy at the counter was nice and very accommodating. The price of the food is much more expensive than typical Bergen County Chinese places, with Lunch Specials ranging from 6.95−7.25, which concerned me at first. The Chicken itself was amazing! Very large portions with great flavor and spice! Pork Fried Rice was ok but definitely edible. The container in which the food came in is slightly bigger than the average takeout container, which gives the food great value. If I were in the area, I would definitely come back.

In order to survive life, you need a good go-to for pizza, bagels, and Chinese. Thankfully we didn’t have to search too long or too far as Montvale Chinese is conveniently located and oh so delicious. We don’t deviate from our standard orders: orange chicken + lo mein noddles for me, and chicken fried rice for the hubby. And you know what? We don’t need to. Even my in-laws are obsessed with this place and its famous eggplant dish. I don’t know if they only volunteer to babysit so they can see their grandson, or if they just want an excuse to order the food. The only con? The price. For the two of us, it’s typically $ 30, which is on the higher end. However, you WILL have leftovers. And my reheated Montvale Chinese is just as delicious the second day. Another added bonus? Their takeout dishes make for great Tupperware. Montvale Chinese has slowly replaced all the Glad in our house as result.

I order from here while at work there is way better Chinese here by me. My main complaint is they aren’t consistent here I order ribs one day they were great the next they were hard and more burnt. Their dumplings on other hand is where they make up for their other dishes that’s just bout all I got now besides rice which was also making up for inconsistent ribs and chicken but that’s jus my opinion some people at my job have better luck maybe it’s me but they are good when you get them in that right moment.

Eek. Montvale Chinese Cuisine needs to take a trip to the city or any of the bigger NJ suburbs to realize that it’s subpar. Gloppy hot and sour soup(not really hot or sour, but very salty) with entire white mushrooms dumped in, extremely greasy eggroll consisting of mostly cabbage, and weak lunch specials with hastily chopped veggies and meat that’s seen fresher days. It may be «adequate» or «suitable» for the area, but citizens of Montvale, you can do better. You deserve better!

This place has solid Chinese fast food lunch specials. A special with soda or soup would set you back around 7.50. I had the typical general tsao’s and bbq spare ribs with fried rice, and they were pretty tasty. It would The space is nice, and you don’t come out smelling like Chinese food, which is a place. Wish they had a table or two so you can eat there.

Nothing special on the one hand, on the other, there is not much else out here in the boonies, so that makes this awesome!

The most random looking Chinese restaurant I’ve ever seen in a strip mall I passed by 100 times until noticing it. They have available all the standard dishes, my lunch was pretty good bang for the buck. No tables, random chairs to sit on while waiting, feels more like the lobby of a hotel — but as most people are getting lunch for work, it’s irrelevant.

Price was great. Definitely a budget Chinese take out restaurant. Although, in my opinion, the food was also a budget Chinese take out restaurant… it’s not bad and not good. I’ve had way better Chinese food, but I’ve also had worse, so it was ok.

This place is tucked away in a strip mall, so if you’re not paying attention, you’ll definitely miss it. However, don’t let it’s subtle exterior be a deterrent from going in. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and even waiting in the place is quiet… depending on when you go. Menu selection is pretty standard for a Chinese food restaurant, but it’s definitely an excellent pick!
