The T Room

I came here yesterday with my mom for my 20^th birthday and I can not wait to come back! Everything from the décor to the staff and of course the tea was incredible. It’s is very quaint and we sat outside in the garden. On the weekends they strictly do the Queen’s tea which was perfect. I wouldn’t order anything else. 2 pots of your choice tea and a 3 tier variety of delicious scones sandwiches and petite cakes. For my birthday they even gave me an ounce of my favorite of the 2 teas I had. The Empress blend is delicious. I would highly recommend!

I went on the search for Tea Rooms after my sister asked me to throw her a bridal shower at a Tea Place. I price compared and visited three different places and this is by far the cutest one I’ve visited. The customer service and response time is ridiculous — I first talked to Margot on the phone and then Marianna showed me around the T Room and went through all of the different options I would have. It is so cute and the ladies who operate this place clearly take great pride in their work! I felt convinced that this was where we HAD to have the party based on how adorable it was and how accommodating the ladies were so I put a deposit down right away (without even asking the bride!).
I was confused about what the open dates they had previously told me were but Marianna worked everything out for me and was incredibly flexible. I feel lucky to have found this place and if you are reading this Unilocal review wondering which tea rooms you should call or visit to schedule a party, I definitely recommend giving this place a call. The customer service went above and beyond (way beyond) the other places I’ve talked to. Stay away from the freaking Tea Rose Garden as they won’t return your calls and will offer to divide up their warehouse looking floor with fake green hedges on wheels. Instead, check out this place where everything just screams authenticity, homemade, and cute.

I had my Baby shower held here and after worrying how everything would turn out, the ladies did a great job and proved to me that I worried for no reason. The only thing I didn’t appreciate was when my guests had asked for coffee the waitress would inform them that it would be an extra charge. I had previously discussed the option for my guests to have whatever they want and ill cover the extra charges, I guess they forgot to let their staff know. That was the only hick-​up, since it made some of my guests uncomfortable. Other than that the place was very accommodating. Marianna and her mother were super lovely and nice.

There’s a reason this place has such high reviews — they know what they are doing. This tea room is the perfect quaint little spot for your afternoon high tea. The décor is simply adorable and the atmosphere is cozy quiet and elegant. Took my mother for her 70^th birthday and she absolutely loved it.
The menu is perfectly priced with delicious options to choose from. Kids are welcome with a great kids menu too. The owner loves what she does, takes her time to explain the two options, and is a very warm and friendly. The entire experience was pleasurable and I cannot wait to return.
Street parking only, which was not a problem.

Love coming here every time I’m in town! I’m obsessed with the sandwiches especially the chicken lingonberry and egg salad. The scone with the Russian cream and the honey crumb cake are divine. The ambiance is so beautiful and relaxing. There’s really no other place like it in LA.

Had a wonderful experience today at The T room! AMAZING STAFF, cute décor, and wonderful food. Hope to visit again soon. Would highly recommend this place had such a great time. I’ve been to the Chado Tea room and the Scarlet Tea room once before but hands down this has been my favorite experience.

EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF. Was basically told that I had to buy food or get out. Me and my friend just came in for some Tea but apparently that’s not good enough.

I was invited for one of my best friends baby shower, very nice and clean place great decoration, nice and professional staff, great variety of food and teas, the only reason I avoid to give that place full five stars is absence of our Armenian coffee while as everybody knows we Armenian ladies prefer to have our traditional coffee during our gathering, anyway it was nice place and definitely I recommend there to my friends for their small family parties

I found this tea room on Unilocal while I was looking for some place new to take my sister-​in-​law for her birthday. I loved the photos and comments. I called to make a reservation and the woman who answered the phone was so kind and sweet, she made me feel like she was really looking forward to seeing my party. I had a really good feeling about my decision. Upon arrival we were greeted by Mariana, one of the owners. She was so nice and made us feel very welcome. The décor was even more adorable than the photos. Even the ladies room was adorable.
Our reservation was at 1:00 and we were there until closing at 4:00 because we felt so relaxed and so comfortable. The last hour we were talking with Mariana and her mother Esmeralda, the other owner. We had such a wonderful time, we felt like we were having tea with family. I can’t wait to go back. Thank you Mariana and Esmeralda for making us feel so welcome and important!

Oh my gosh, this place is adorable and elegant. This is one of the few tea places that I will be back to and whole heartedly recommend.
I love the high ceilings and the plate-​settings. Everything matched and was so pretty! The ladies working here are really sweet and hospitable. They’re a bit gruff but I think it’s a cultural thing and I didn’t sense any meanness. The tea and food was just okay but it was only $ 26 a person. Totally worth it for the experience. My favorites were the egg salad and cucumber (probably cuz of the mayonnaise). The chicken cranberry was good but a bit dry. I wasn’t fond of the salmon but I’m extremely picky. The scones and cream fraise weren’t that great. I took the desserts home so I can’t comment on them. Even though the food and tea were just okay, I will definitely be back.

It was my sisters first time at tea and I can’t stress enough how perfect out experience was. Prior to this I’ve had high tea in New York at the plaza hotel and I’ll be honest– the t room is better!!!
First off we arrived before opening but the mother and daughter greeted us and let us in. Walking in I fell in love. From the Antique tea cups to the center pieces, they created a comfortable and beautiful environment. We ordered the «Queens Tea» and selected the Peach tea. Before I continue– GET THE PEACH TEA.
The food came out promptly and was explained in detail by the daughter. She explained that everything came from their farm and they only served organic food. She suggested having the scones first which were warm and soft. Although they were orange and cranberry– the flavors were mild and was easy to pair with their amazing spreads. The organic strawberry jam is perfection. We continued with the sandwiches and the chicken one stole the show. All the sandwiches were delicious and very filling.
Afterwords we had the dessert which the mother used honey versus sugar. I can’t emphasize how delicious they were. I personally didn’t try the chocolate but I can say each one was delicious. They were moist, soft, and packed a bunch of favor.
Lastly– the family is amazing. Thank you again ladies for the unforgettable experience!

You will fall in love with this tea room. It’s just like the cozy tea houses you read about. The hostesses are so warm and personable you feel like you are visiting a friend.
I take all my tea lovers here and they fall in love. Great selection of teas and fresh homemade food.
In the cooler weather ask to sit outside in their lovely covered patio. Owners and décor are simply charming. You will not be disappointment. Larger parties, reservations may be needed.

Completely exceeded my expectations. Such a cute tea house with an outdoor patio for private parties. We were greeted right away by the host and felt very warmly welcomed. The empress tea was to die for, and the egg sandwich and chicken sandwiches were also delicious! There was also salad and dessert, all food was very light and tasted fresh and healthy. Perfect for a girls afternoon tea or even bridal shower! Oh and there’s free parking across the street… Will definitely be coming back!

Had a very positive experience here! Came in at 10:30 am on a Friday morning and were seated right away (for future reference, they do recommend reservations!). My friend and I both got the Queen’s Tea which is $ 24 per person for a pot of tea and a tower with little finger sandwiches, sweets and some delicious scones and jam.
Such amazing service, the lady who helped us (Margo?) was so sweet and attentive to us. It started to fill up around noon.
The décor of this spot is so cute, like the perfect grandmother’s house. Will definitely be back!

Great place to come and relax with friends. such a cute place to have a nice lunch with friends. Had my nieces birthday here and the women that works here was so amazing and helpful. From start to finish was great! The food was really good along with all the teas we had. would be nice for showers or small parties.

I had to start the review with that word. The owner and her daughter are the ones who primarily run the restaurant. If you are planning on munching on tasty sandwiches and sipping on freshly brewed tea, consider bringing your special ladies to this location. It is the perfect T Room.
The vibe of the restaurant is what sets the mood. You feel as though you are at a café in England. That is hard to mimic, but it is perfected here. The chicken sandwiches and even the cucumber ones are too tasty. I’ve never been so satisfied munching on the cutest looking sandwiches.
On top of all that, the service is substantial. I’ve been here multiple times and they continue to baffle me with their humbleness and courtesy. The elegance and class of this restaurant is what attracts and will continue to attract customers. If you’re in the area and in the mood to treat your special someone and/​or people, consider coming here. You’ll know what I’m talking about.

We went there for tea on Mother’s Day this year. I have been to a few other tea houses and this one was quite adorable. The décor was very fitting for a tea house.
The sandwiches, scones, and pastries were all delicious. The tea they had picked specifically for Mother’s Day was also delicious (had a mix of peach in it).
What I was most blown away by was the incredible service provided. I believe the owner is a young lady who served us as well. Her sweet smile and sincerity are unforgettable.
I will absolutely be returning there.

Today I took my mother, sister and niece to The T room for mother days !
I have to work that day so I thought I would take them all some where special and beautiful .
We had an amazing time with great food and tea, my sister is a vegetarian so she had the veggie delight and loved it ‚.
My niece is 13 so this was so excited for her to have Famous Chocohaze Sandwich, She said thank you Aunt Lisa I love this place !
My mom had Lingonberry chicken — chicken breast with Lingonberry mousse and said it was the most delicious sandwich she has ever had !
I my self had the smoked egg salad it was to heaven !
I glad I made my family happy thank you to The T Room !
I also have to say the service was out astounding they at THE T ROOM I felt special, amazing customer service, so polite made me feel like family .
It’s a lots art on how you are treated, I can only give 5 stars but they deserve more 1 out of 10 I give them a 10 from me .
I will defiantly take my family here again, it is quaint, beautiful and simply eloquent.

Very nice. Food was awesome. Went today for lunch with my sisters. Today would have been our moms birthday and she loved tea party’s with her girls. The chicken sandwiches the desserts are to die for. We will be going back.

I’ve never been to Montrose before… And I grew up in LA! It’s a cute little town. We came here after my final bridal dress appointment! I came to celebrate «saying yes to the dress». My mom, sister, and BFF were probably happy that I finally found the one. No more sitting through dress trials!
This is such a cute place! The décor is really pretty, and the China reminded me of my godmother’s set she had at her house. Our server was super freakin nice! Ridiculous. Really good customer service! She also made sure to ask about allergies and even separated the desserts that had walnuts in them. Like other great servers, she made recommendations! I like when servers do that!
We ordered the following teas to share: pomegranate, vanilla coconut, orange spice, and mango. The mango is herbal and decaf black tea. The orange spice is one of the seasonal flavors! All of our picks smelled sooooo good!
On weekends, they only offer the set high tea menus that have scones (they come out warm and fresh), little sandwiches, desserts, and fruit! The portions don’t seem like much, but trust me, it’s more than enough! We had plenty of left overs! The sandwiches were really good… So I don’t know what the other reviews about the food not being fresh?! Everything we had was delicious. I would definitely come back!
They have a patio in the back that can be rented out for events. They can fit 30 people. High tea is about $ 32 which includes tax and gratuity. That’s pretty cool! Think this may be a possible place for my bridal shower in LA!
I just wish that some of the tea spots would catch on to gluten free options! It would be cool if they could prepare a special plate for me. The only thing they would have to change is the bread, and may be have different scones or they can offer macarons which are gluten free! They can buy some macarons from ‘Lette in the Glendale Galleria. :)
This is such a cute place. Customer service is awesome. The food is good! What would make this place even more awesome is if they made me a special plate. I can bring the bread! :)
