Roadside junk food! Ice cream, hot dogs, hamburgers, fish and chips… You get the picture. Staffed by young women who couldn’t possibly be out of high school yet. It’s a little pricey for what it is, and you’re obviously not paying for the quality of the food, which is exactly what you’d expect when you take a look at the place. What you’re buying here is a piece of the past, when going out for a drive was a form of recreation and no one thought twice about eating crap like this. Sometimes the wife and I stop here(at her request) before getting onto Rt. 17 on our way back to New York. She says their chocolate malted milkshake(made with soft serve) tastes exactly like the ones she drank as a child. I wouldn’t go out of my way for it, but it makes her happy. So consider this review 1 – 2 stars for food and value and 4 – 5 for nostalgia, which the Bean Bag delivers in heaping helpings. I’ll split it right down the middle and give them three stars, but the place really only merits two and a half.
