They have just started up selling at the Saturday morning Eastside St. market and I could not resist trying them. Their pork is from two heritage crosses if I remember correctly, but they really do not have any further information on their website yet, so I cannot confirm anything without calling. However, finally getting some country style pork boneless led to a fantastic meal with a mushroom, onion and Dijon mustard sauce that left me wanting more. For Superb Owl Sunday(cannot use the real name as it is trademarked by the NFL) I ended up cooking two kinds of Polish sausage from Olde World and both were scarfed down like there was no end to the world. Again a local, no antibiotics(unless prescribed) growth hormones and although I have yet to ask them about the feed sources, I would anticipate them being acceptable at the least. More when I have had a chance to visit the shop and the farm. In the meantime, there are some photos of the food on my facebook public page. Single Man’s Kitchen and I will post some here when I get a chance to visit their real location.
