3 ½ stars would be closer to how I feel. They have a very good selection and a very helpful staff — maybe too helpful? If I say I don’t need help please don’t hover around me. One guy was visibly upset when I wouldn’t let him help me. I can pick out my own nails, thanks. The prices are kind of high but I expect that from a local hardware store. Please folks — if you ask if I need help and I say«no thanks» just respond with something like«o.k. let us know if you need anything» and walk away. I’d appreciate it.

I have driven by Jim’s so many times I’ve lost track. I had always wondered how they compared to the larger chains such as Lowes and Home Depot but never had the need to visit any of these stores. Well I finally had a need and Jim’s was the most convenient so I satisfied my curiosity along with my need for electric tape in one stop. The staff was super helpful and friendly and the store was packed with all kinds of gear for fixing up the home or whatever else your hardware needs may be. It is a great local shop worth stopping by in you’re in need and in the area.

The definition of local, old-fashioned(in a good way) shopping. Jim’s has everything you need and some friendly, on-point customer service to match.
