This location in Montgomery is pretty nice. They recently replaced all the matting in the free weight area. Which needed to go. It was getting dangerous; people tripping, etc. Of course, when they changed the matting they changed the free weights and their order/location on the racks. Totally sucks now. Nothing is ever in the right place. occasionally machines, particularly the cardio equipment have a tendency to break and they are not the best at keeping those machines in working order. Overall, the location is pretty nice and the people that work there are all very nice.

The gym had all the equipment that I needed, but the one thing that had caught me off guard was how hard it was to get out of contract. I was told in the beginning that I would have to pay a $ 50 fee to quit the gym membership and I was okay with that, but being in a military family things happen unexpectedly and I needed to end the membership due to relocation. I had called asking what the process was to get out of contract multiple times and got a variety of answers from different people in San Antonio and here in Montgomery. After trying each option, It’s been four months and till this very day I have not gotten the correct or accurate information and keep getting charged the gym membership to my account. I personally wouldn’t go to the gym through contract after this experience.

Since I am a member in Maryland, I didn’t want to stop working out just because I was on a vacation. I called, and the gentleman on the phone was very helpful about what I needed to do. I called the Gold’s Gym in Maryland, and a temp. card was given to me. The gym is very spacious, and the equipment is up-to-date. Like other Gold’s Gyms, there are a variety of classes and equipment for everyone. I went at 5, and it wasn’t crowded :-) This gym is a nice, clean place to workout.
