We’ve rented from BNR for more than five years and have been pretty happy with them. Yes, some maintenance issues could be addressed more quickly, but in my experience anything major is addressed right away. I do wish they kept the apartments a bit more upgraded. Our apartment in Parkside has original windows that make the HVAC system work very hard and in the summer months the AC just can’t get the temp below 80 degrees. Also the appliances are super basic, cheap models. We’ve had a few items replaced over the years and wish they would have put in something a little nicer. That said, I’ve always found the staff to be very friendly and easy to deal with. We’ll continue to rent with them and would recommend BNR to my friends.

I moved into my apartment with BNR about a month ago and I couldn’t be any happier about BNR’s management! From signing a lease to the actual move in process, BNR made things as easy as possible and is always available to answer and questions I may have. Now that I live here I’m even more impressed by their handling of maintenance. They are quick to respond by sending someone over after I notify them and they are efficient about making sure everything is fixed!

Avoid! BNR Management may be the worst landlord in the D.C. area. The June 19, 2013 review is right on and the response from BNR is disingenuous, at best. The employee who was fired was reflective of their entire operation and nothing has changed. I’m baffled at the more recent reviews. The apartment we lived in had an air-conditioning unit and our lease required BNR to maintain it. After the unit broke, it took BNR almost the entire summer to fix it. They will ignore repair requests, come up with absurd excuses for why nothing has been done, and hire the absolute least-competent repair companies they can find. The A/C unit was finally fixed toward the end of the summer, but the repair job was so bad that it caused a large portion of the apartment’s ceiling around the A/C unit to develop black-colored mold. Being BNR, it took them another few months to solve that problem. Finally, they will try to wring as much money as they can out of you when you move out of one of their apartments. Although our lease very clearly allowed us to move out with thirty-days notice regardless of whether the move-out date fell on the first of the month, BNR attempted to require almost two months of notice. So far, they also seem to have«forgotten» to return our security deposit, even though we asked for it. These are just the highlights of a truly terrible landlord-tenant relationship. I cannot recommend the entire BNR team less.

They do a great job! Nothing but positive things to say! Alex and Krizzia are on top of everything. I had an issue once and they resolved it very quickly.

I rented from bnr management for about two years in north bethesda. From the time I signed my lease until I moved out the management team was incredibly responsive to any maintenance requests I had. Usually they had the issue resolved in 24 hours or less!

Perhaps the worst management company of all time. It is July and my air conditioning unit is still not repaired. They do not make needed repairs until threatened, they do not coordinate with you ahead of time. Truly awful.

Don’t expect to have repairs taken care of on a timely basis, because, in fact, several times, I had to call and remind BNR staff(Edwin) to renew a ticket. I rent a property in Parkside Condominiums and Parkside has its own staff who can do repairs, but BNR chooses to use its own staff(likely to save $) who only visits the property once or twice a week… so hopefully your repair need happens on one of those days! I also signed a month-to-month agreement that allowed for 30 days notice before moving out, only to find out that I still needed to pay the full month’s rent before leaving on the 15! One positive thing was when my bank sent duplicate checks, they returned them to me promptly. One star for that.
