What a find! We discovered this gem quite by accident, after first stopping for coffee at a poor excuse for a coffee house in Carmel(they served a revolting Café Americano made with scalding water – I chucked it in the first waste bin I found). My husband sought to assuage my disappointment by stopping in Monterey and driving around in search of a place that made real coffee, and we lucked out when we found Paris Bakery. Not only did they make a lovely espresso; the cases were loaded with all manner of delectable pastries. I was solaced with a fine Tiramissu; my husband had a raisin swirl. Both were superior. Paris Bakery will now be a destination stop whenever we’re on the peninsula; I certainly shan’t waste my time with the tourist traps rampant in Carmel Village.

Friends had invited me to Monterey and took me for breakfast here. It was great! As you enter, there are all kinds of French goodies staring you in the face. It is a long counter and towards the end there is a selection of quiches to choose from. The chocolate and almond crossaints were excellent. The second time we went I ended up getting the quiche Lorraine. The staff is pleasant and there is adequate seating available. I would recommend highly-reasonably priced. You will not be disappointed.

–Overwhelming selection –Fresh and delicious –Price range is still«$»(least expensive on Unilocal pricing scale), a bargain compared to many tourist trap establishments –Walking distance to the hotel we were staying(Marriott)

I happened to be in Monterey and accidently dump into this bakery. They have a lot of good things to eat. I don’t even remember what I bought since I’m writing a review weeks later but all I can say is that its not that expensive and its good for breakfast. Took out one star because the hot chocolate was made of dark chocolate and was overly bitter.

We decided to go south to Monterey with my friend for New Year’s Eve and avoid the crowd. I found this place on Unilocal and since I’m French it sounded like heaven! We went inside with my friend, the place has limited seating area, large vitrine with various French pastries. I had the croissant here before, they were good, this time I had a latte and the infamous ‘buche de noel’ aka yule log. Latte was great, buche de noel very alright… The service is alright, it was New Year’s eve and they didn’t wish us happy new year, they very fast to serve and in the hurry, it was OK experience. I’ll check another place next time.

So really this review is just about the almond croissants. That’s what my sister ordered, and I ordered an angel wing and a sticky bun. However, after she gave me a bite of her croissant, I refused to eat any more than the initial bite I had taken of the other two sweets. I pushed them away and went to order myself an almond croissant. They warmed it for me… So. Dang. Good. I will never be able to eat another almond croissant until I return here, or go to France.

Great pastry and dessert, I love their croissant and the Princess Cake, very friendly staff, one only complain is that they should improve and be more consistent in making coffee drink– My cappuccino is always different, sometimes taste good other time not at all–

We stopped by here after visiting the Aquarium and needed to fulfill my sweet toof. Cute litle shop, so glad we made the stop What I ordered: WEDDINGCOOKIE: crispy and chewy bursting with flavor ALMONDFLATCOOKIE: chewy and so addicting, wish I picked up more… PEANUTBUTTERCOOKIE: It must have been good as the Canadian forgot to offer me some… PEANUTBUTTERWITHCHOCOLATECHIP: See above.(I thought he loved me?) PRINCESSCAKE: This was so cute to eat. It was very moist and addicting. CHEESECAKE: This wasn’t as moist and I prefer but the other cookies were so delicious I didn’t mind… I would definitely stop by here again to pick up sweets if we were in the area. Highly recommended.

Paris Bakery delivers! I used them for my wedding and was so pleased with the results. They were easy to work with and designed a piece of art! I can’t stop thinking about my cake; it was delicious and a replication of what I had requested. I had so many people tell me it was not only the prettiest wedding cake they had ever seen but yummy! Thank you Paris Bakery for such a well executed masterpiece!

This bakery is phenomenal! The quality is truly amazing. The hard crusty breads are very difficult to find most places. The pastries— are beyond good! The salads and sandwiches great. They do a jumping off business with locals and visitors and it’s easy to see why I loved this place the first time we went and it’s still fabulous! Service is great even with the large numbers of people they get. I’ve never eaten anything bad!

Came here since Parker-Lusseau Pastries that is located down the street was closed. This is a bustling and popular place. Tons of seating and tons of pastries and baked goods to choose from. Hubby and I shared: *Almond croissant: 3⁄5 strong egg flavor, not enough almond paste. *Apple custard: 3⁄5 the custard seemed a bit old and stiff, the thinly sliced apple on top was the only thing I enjoyed. Prices are reasonable but you get what you pay for.

Great pastries, desserts, and food. We had quite a few: Strawberry Crossiant, Chocolate Covered Strawberry, BLT with avocado, Raspberry Crème Soda, Strawberry Almond Crossiant, and Bread Pudding. — Breads seemed fresh and made the day of. — Food was quite savory. It was simply made, but not simply flavored. Only complaints: — Some of desserts seemed to need a light crisp to them. — Pigeons were in the dining and baking area. I have no qualms about it personally, but not may not be the most sanitary for some.
