Kim Tar Restaurant

A great place to eat delicious and cheap food. This place isn’t as big as other family style Chinese restaurants, so I’m not sure if it ever gets packed. I’ve only been here once, our parties ordered a gang of dishes, but since Imma vegetarian I only tried two dishes. The green beans are very flavorful. the noodle dish that I ordered had no meat in it. It was just plain phở noodles with some peanuts and a side of sauce. It was surprisingly delicious! It looked really plain but it had a good flavor to it. I would forsure come back to enjoy that dish.

My cousin and her family has been coming here for years and its their go-​to spot for Chinese foods. I finally got a chance to dine here on new years day and it was pretty quiet and empty. But I know this place is always packed! With that being said, we ordered our food, stepped out for a smoke break and when we came back to the table our food was on its way to our table. Quick, and we were so hungry too…
We ordered the calamari, yang chow fried rice and the beef chow fun with extra gravy. All so delicious! Very good tasting dishes! Friendly staff! Great prices!
I’m craving Kim Tar now… And the good thing is, their open till 2 am.

Kim Tar has been my family go to place since my school age days. Mind you it’s a family restaurant.
This will probably be the last time I will step foot in this place. It literally made me sick to my stomach one evening when I went to Kim Tar with my family and we came in and let the hostess know we had a table of seven. She said it should take 10 – 15 mins. 10 – 15 mins flew by and no sign of a table. So we noticed their was a table open that seats 14. We asked the hostess to seat is there since our kids were hungry. The hostess refused to seat us since we were not a party of 14. We don’t even see any signs of 14 people coming in. So we waited. 30 mins passed by and no sign of a table opening up nor 14 people coming in. Finally, the table of seven leaves about an hour wait and the hostess didn’t even had any urgency to seat us. They took a long time to clean the table. By the time we got to the table, we did not feel right. We were going to pay $ 70 – 100 for this type of service when we just wanted to feed our children. We decided to leave because there was no customer service. We decided to find a restaurant that will give us better customer service and willing to help feed our hungry kids so we picked up and left. We’ve been a customer for years and that day was not right.
