I will never understand why they will always have one person at the counter especially on days when a new game is released. The lines are always super long and the one clerk at the counter takes forever to help one person so a transaction that just normally be fast ends up taking up a nice chunk of your time. So Best Buy or Target it is.

After tonight, I will no longer be coming to this gamestop. I have been coming to this Gamestop for midnight releases since Halo 3. I arrived here around 830ish to pick up my ticket to get my game and then was advised that at 845 they were not going to give out tickets and they had been giving out tickets since 3p. They didn’t call anyone. They didn’t let anyone know ahead of time like other titles in the past. To top it off, I watched the two workers at the counter not even make it through two people and then was asked to go to back of line for a game I already paid for. Complete disarray and disappointment. Also, they weren’t doing any special events or giveaways like they have done on past. This place has lost its appeal. I could get this service at any Gamestop. Even better I’ll just be buying my games online and avoiding Gamestop from now on! Thanks!

Now after waiting in one line after 30 minutes now they tell us to move to another line. Cluster f*$! Done with this place. So poorly managed. Unreal.

The guy that was helping me out was Alex, that guy was incredibly chill and cool, highly recommend him.

The current employees are thieves and rude! (The kind that keep bonus items for those who preordered stuff and hold items like amiibo for their selves)
Seriously the guy working there was an asshole. Dude didn’t want to give me my pre ordered item because (and I quote) «it’s special and I need it» look idiot I’m not some kid buying a game I preordered the shit for the bonus at shitty Ass game stop in your small Ass smelling store. haven’t gone back since and contacted corporate about it, but doubt that did any good.

This GameStop also smells like ass and it’s small, but it beats the one on Whittier and spence. Pretty much it.

This Gamestop Is A Bit Small. They Should Really Look Into Getting A Bigger Store In The Area. I Avoid Going Here When I Can. It’s Always Packed And Hard To Get Around Because The Store Is So Narrow. Try The Rosemead Location If You Can, Very Friendly Staff & Larger Store/​Selection. :)

As Gamestop stores go, this is probably one of the smaller ones. This works with and against it at the same time.
For the good stuff. Gamestop provides a great deal on video games. With the increasing prices in new generation games, Places like Gamestop where you can buy used games are a blessing among us who cannot always afford to shell more than fifty dollars on a game. Gamestop as a whole is a great thing, particularly if you’re into buying pre-​owned games since they have a membership deal which reduces the price on used games, saving you more money, and they send online deals like «Buy 2, get 1 free» sort of thing on occasion. Add in a Game Informer magazine subscription for a year, and all of this for $ 15 dollars is a nice bundle. The employees are very nice, and many of them are more knowledgeable in games than the average person.
For the minor downside. This Gamestop is a smaller store, so the sheer number of games you’ll find in stock will be smaller than some of the other stores. Additionally, this Gamestop is nearby a college, so the demograph of games tend to range mostly among the college-​aged, casual gamer. This means that a lot of the games they have in stock will tend to be First-​Person Shooters like Call of Duty, Halo, etc. And they will have multiple copies of these kinds of game, filling up the spaces in an already smaller store limits the variety in which gamers that do not play many of those sort of games give us a bit less to strive for.

If you are a fan of video games this might be the place to be. I stopped in here and the staff knows video games. I have been here a few times and seems like they always have staff to help.
My son likes to stop in just to talk about video games with the staff. If you are in the market for some new or used games this is your stop.
