I’ve been coming to this place since I can remember and my sister has been eating there for 35+ years. This place never let’s down. From the outside it raises suspicious, but there’s a reason J&S has been around all these years. Great food at a great price. BESTBREAKFASTBURRITO and a darn good pastrami sandwich.

I’ve been coming here for over 10 years. This is where we normally go for late night dinner or midnight snack. We always get the taquitos and sometimes a side order of fries with guacamole. The taquitos are so good. They are the best taquitos I’ve ever had. They are really crispy and doesn’t taste too oily. The beef inside is tasty. The guacamole is not even real guacamole. It’s like half guacamole half guacamole sauce. However, it is really good especially on top of the taquitos and fries. We’ve also had their tacos and bean and cheese burritos. They are both just ok. Their chips with guacamole and cheese are also really good. The chips are homemade. A small is huge and can feed about 3 people. Over the years, prices increased. An order of taquitos ten years ago used to be $ 1.10. Now it’s $ 1.99. That’s almost $ 1.00 for one taquito. I really hope that they don’t increase their prices anymore.

Cheap, Fast, and Good. The trifecta of any fast food joint. I can’t speak to their American food items, but the Mexican food is on point. Usually you will find yourself here if you want to indulge is tasty mexican food, or after a night at the club in DTLA.

Love this place. Used to come here all the time until I moved out of the area. LOVE — Guac Fries LOVE — Taquitos LOVE — All Meat Burrito LOVE — Bean & Cheese Burrito Prices aren’t bad. Used to be cheaper, but oh wells. People gotta make a living right? Down side, it’s looks clean but is actually a bit dirty. Tables feel sticky. But hey many places like this are kind of dirty. So because of this, I take my food Togo. All in all, food is good. Just take it togo or eat in your car.

J & S raised their prices too high. The chorizo burrito was $ 3.00 couple years ago, Now it’s close to $ 5.00. Everything else is too much too. This is dive food not gourmet food, tell the owners to get real or they are going lose all their loyal customers.

Good tasting junk food that won’t leave you feeling crappy like McDonald’s type places. It’s kind of like a notch or two below In N’ Out. Open 24 hours. That’s awesome for me since I’m often up way past midnight. Just make sure you check that they got your order right. Twice I’ve specifically asked for no guacamole while emphasizing that I’m allergic to avocado and they put guacamole anyway. Maybe they barely understand English.

The taquitos are a crowd favorite and only $ 1 … But dem rats thou

Late night So Cal jewel! The food brought me back to the late night hang outs after the hotel dances in Los Angeles. A fantasy LA style tapas experience, with crispy and light savory Taquitos with a creamy guacamole to round out the paper dish. Bean and cheese burritos that maintains a custard mouth feel until finished. Simply comfort food that hits the spot…

This is that guilty pleasure place that you always have in the back of your mind since it’s open 24⁄7. J&S is located right off of the 60 freeway, and it has its own parking lot. The outside of the joint feels like a food truck, with some metal benches as well. The food is Mexican and American, with things like hot dogs, burgers, burritos, fries, and more. The food is greasy yet delicious, although I feel like it was bigger in the past. However, prices are pretty reasonable so you can still get a bunch of food for $ 10. They take cash only!

After reading about this place in LA Weekly, checked it out back in 2011. Ordered bean and cheese burrito. Liked it a lot. Smooth beans and melted white cheese. I can tell they spend time making their refried beans high quality. The other night, went back here and ordered taquitos along with another b&c. Liked their taquitos a lot. They pour guacamole over their taquitos. Mother ordered their beef taco. Comes in a store-cooked fried shell and ground beef with lettuce. She liked it. Highly recommended. Will be back.

I just came here recently with my son but also this is not my first visit since I am a local. I grew up hearing the rave of the bean and cheese burritos and the taquitos and there great guacamole. Everything else on the menu is just like any other mom and pop burger place in Los Angeles with American and Mexican items on the list. On my first visit here I drove by and ordered the taquitos and bean and cheese burrito and I will agree it was not bad. The beans are full of flavor and a good amount of cheese. As for the taquitos they are prepackaged commercial taquitos so nothing special but the guacamole is what you need them for because that is really good. But I am a carnivore at heart so asking me to get a craving for a bean and cheese burrito is not really realistic. This visit, I happened to be in the area and I was alone with my oldest and I asked him to join me for dinner before we go home and make dinner for the family. Of course he was excited and we decided to stop here before I changed my mind, LOL. He ordered a chili dog with chili cheese fries and had the taquitos because that is what they are known for. The taquitos were just as tasty as I remembered but the chili cheese fries were something new. The chili had a good flavor and they put white cheese on top which gave me mixed feelings. The combination of chili and I am guessing Monterey jack cheese is good but not what I consider to be traditional. My son enjoyed his meal and I enjoyed mine but I think I will stick to my other spots as opposed to this location.

I always pass by this place and always been curious. But my finances coworkers recommended this place. And after a late night, I was craving for something greasy in the morning. I was instantly craving a breakfast burrito. So I ordered a breakfast bacon burrito and it was bomb!!! The best one I’ve had and I usually don’t like breakfast burritos. Inside there was refried beans, cheese, scrambled eggs and I don’t know what else. I gulped it all up so quickly! The beans were so tasty it really made the burritos. FYI it’s cash only but there’s an ATM there.

3.5 stars for the burritos. 5 stars for the memories. I attended OLMM in the late 70’s — mid 80’s. I ordered a breakfast burrito and a chorizo burrito. More beans than chorizo and bacon. I did not taste any bacon and it was more like a bean and cheese burrito with potatoes. Good for a late night meal after clubbing/drinking.

They have a very very large parking lot and the lady at the counter was very friendly and took our orders quite quickly. One thing to note the burgers were very very cooked and a little bit on the dry side but the juices from the burger that they created with it was worth it. I will say this is one of the best places I’ve had a burger in this area in a long time. I definitely recommend this placeif you’re passing through and you really need a quick bite as they’re open 24 hours a day which is very convenient for anybody that’s looking for a place to stop and get a quick bite that’s totally worth it.

Yay for opening 24 hours! I would definitely come here to get the«Pastrami Quesadilla» any time of the day! First of all, I don’t know anywhere else that makes Pastrami Quesadilla and the quesadilla not only have just cheese, and pastrami slapped together in tortilla skin. they actually even have Guacamole in it! SODARNDELICIOUS! Also ordered the«breakfast burrito.» I personally think that Lucky Boy in Pasadena still serves THE best breakfast burrito. However, for around 5 dollars, breakfast burrito is decent here. there’s beans in this burrito though and I am not really a fan of beans inside my burrito. so maybe that’s why. Ordered small chilli cheese fries and I personally also think that Pepe’s makes THE best chilli cheese fries ever! However, J&S’s chilli cheese fries were decent as well, but I wouldn’t come to J & S just to get an order of chilli cheese fries though. Oh oh! They charge 1.00 for water! You might as well really just get Horchata or Orange Bang since they’re only 1 – 2 dollars. Good stuff. Oh! Yes, the area is a bit sketchy, so I would not go alone late night if you really want to grab a late snack. The place is really well lit but just in case you know. haha. Parking is in the back, so no worries about parking. You can also call in ahead of time as well to prevent the long wait. Tip: CASHONLY! Bring those cha-chings!

Many of you should realize my reluctant nature to provide a one-star for proprietors… It must take a lot for me to one-star your ass unless you are a major corp like McD’s or Wal-Mart. This is truly a one-star shop but the chili cheese fries saved them from my overall disgust. The service here sucks but that is expected. The place is disgustingly clean and chaotically organized which gives my oversensitive small ass eyes an eye-sore the size of Kim Kardashian’s beautiful ass. As for the bfast burro, it was horrible. The worst burrito my lips have been cursed with in my short life. i ate a quarter of it and chucked it. Why did i dislike it so much? Cause it tasted like 12 day old beans… That is why. The chile/salsa is whack. I do not know if that was given to me on purpose or that is how it is. The chile was soooo bad, the smart & final chile tastes better. oh lord have mercy. The chili cheese fries kicked ass, and the price/value was beyond amazing. Otherwise, i am never coming back.
