They forgot to give us our drink. The food tasted like a bag of salt and the staff was not that friendly. Not coming back here again.

#5 POLLO BOWL! Too bad the staff is pathetic! Always full, not enough parking… always forget orders and never give you enough salsa. That’s y I never hit the drive thru. Always go in and grab my own condiments

This is the worst Pollo Loco spot I have ever been to. If you want some food from here just get the chicken and make sure that’s all you get. Everything else on their menu gets messed up every time I come here. I have ordered a regular burrito that was cold and not wrapped correctly so it fell apart after two bites. I just recently ordered the crunchy chicken taco for $ 1.99 and it was very bland and tasteless which was very disappointing, I can’t believe Jack in the Box serves a better tasting taco. Also I am not sure if the staff has ever been trained on cross contamination but my last few bites where covered in cinnamon and sugar that I’m guessing came from a previous churro that was prepared. Where is the quality control from their management team? Sadly my list of bad items doesn’t end there my wife ordered the original tostado salad bowl and that was so sad looking, I mean it literally was drooping on one side the whole bowl was lopsided. Also the chicken in the bowl was refrigerator cold, which after so many years of my wife eating these for lunch from other locations she knew that it was not supposed to come this way. So I ask the management team to follow up with their staff because they have been slacking and I really like the chicken here and this place is convenient.

Total disappointment!!! Come on Pollo Loco your a fast food joint your food is pre-​made your chicken is seasoned and shipped out to you ready to grill. But not even that could have saved you from my review. The problem here is your staff Yes those young ppl, whom think that this work is easy well apparently not for them. Had it been easy the food would have tasted good. Sure I went thru the drive thru and the young women looked dirty, all the works were clearly not working just talking took a while and all I ordered was a tostada bowl for my husband. The chicken was cold burnt ends and the bowl It’s self was all deformed. Pollo loco should be consistent with little things like that. I mean come on you wouldn’t sell me a burger that was smashed on one side right? All in all this place is not the place for me its clear that this fast food chain has lost its touch. Or maybe they should just start over and fire there entire staff. Make a fresh start of things.
FYI. It’s really dirty inside and I wouldn’t touch the salsa table Yuck!!!

I love me some crazy chicken but this location of El Pollo Loco is, by far, the worst EPL on the planet.
I have been there 3 times in the last few months… each time I went back it was with a spirit of «Maybe they just had an off day.» That spirit is dead.
The first trip there, I got the $ 1 chicken taco. Not only did it take a very long time to get two tacos, the tortilla was as hard as an AP Calculus test. Ew.
Next trip was last week. I tried the chicken carnitas burrito. Now, I’m no hater of fat. Fat good. But this chicken tasted like grizzle. It was so bad that I threw it away after 3 bites. I THREW IT AWAY. I don’t throw food away, ever.
Finally, today. I went with what I thought was the «safe/​traditional» route. I got a two piece with 2 sides. Now, this place is supposed to specialize in chicken, right? So why did my breast and wing plate taste like cardboard? Dry and nasty. I had to drench the chicken in beans just to choke it down.
Now I know for a fact from eating at other El Pollo Locos that the chicken can be juicy and delicious… but stay away from this location.
It’s where the crazy chicken goes to die… and be overcooked.
