Armenian Relief Society. Serving humanitarian needs to the Armenian community since 1910. The Montebello ARS Nairy Chapter resides here and funds Saturday school to teach young Armenians how to read and write in Armenian. This used to be the actual school, but financial crisis struck. But, it remains the main office where Armenians come for various reasons and help. This place for me is nostalgic as I spent my mornings learning Armenian instead of watching cartoons. They built a new beautiful banquet hall right next door, so everyone is welcome to rent out the place and enjoy good times.(Most of the time it’s quinceaneras, who knew?)
