The craft beer section has been expanded and this place is better than ever. I just walked out with 2 packs of DC Brau Penn Quarter Porter that NOBODYELSEHAS. Bottom line, these guys are top shelf.

Convenience is King and these guys milk it for all its worth. Prices are expensive and bottles are mislabeled so when you check out you get a whopping bill. I raised questions and all they would do is offer a refund. They won’t honor their own pricing. If you have the time it’s worth your while to go a little further for a store that values your business and doesn’t bait and switch you on pricing.

While I prefer to bring wine from my cellar, on occasion I find myself here picking up a bottle. They have a nice selection and various choices in various price ranges. However, be aware of your location, this is not going to be your most cost effective options. It is however, your only option in Upper Montclair. I have not bought spirits here, so cant comment on those. But the wine choices are sure to please, no matter what you need to bring. Just be prepared to pay for them.

As a previous resident of Bellevue Ave., and given my inability to handle stress of any kind, safe to say I was a regular at Anglebeck’s. It’s Upper Montclair so their prices are not cheap, but the wine selection is top notch, the six-pack and singles selection is great(they have sold me cases of beer in the past), and despite being a «wine» shop, they also have a full selection of liquor. Headed to Tinga? Stop here first.

3.75 Stopped into Angelbeck’s to pick up a bottle of Pinot Noir in preparation for a snow day this past month. This place is decent. Not on of my favorites in Montclair but good enough to not leave empty handed. A plus that I thought was nice was the $ 10 and $ 20 wine racks, suitable for this BYO town. Drawbacks? The service isn’t all too too friendly and the street parking is somewhat difficult during dinner hours.

Great location to pickup a bottle when you are going out dining in the Montclair area. Prices and selection is fairly decent. I would not go to this store if it was for the sole purpose of getting wine for home as you will be disappointed. However its perfect to grab a bottle or two and head out for dinner. Parking also can be hard, try around the corner or double park and have one of your passengers run in while you wait.

This is the first time I’ve ever walked into a wine shop and found nothing to buy. I’m big into Malbec and out of the 4(yes F O U R) labels they carried none were worth purchasing. The 2 stars are for location.

My first experience here was great. They had the racks set up in the front by price… let’s face it, when you’re looking for an «around $ 10» bottle, you don’t want to see the $ 35 wines surrounding it. However, I’ve been there maybe two or three times since then, and I’ve found the staff unhelpful and chilly. I know I’m not a hip chick(ha!), but I have a pretty nice credit card, and I like my wine. At least answer in more than one syllable when I ask a question. And try interrupting your chat/flirtation to offer help or suggestions when I walk into an empty store. The selection is solid and the prices are varied. I’m still liking the look if not the vibe. Still, this is not in my neighborhood, so without feeling like I’m welcomed, I don’t think I’ll be stopping in if there’s any effort involved. And I certainly won’t subject myself to an too-cool-for-you attitude at a tasting.
