I rarely frequent this station but hubby(who doesn’t have a Unilocal account) asked me to write this review on his behalf to let the Unilocal community know of their horrible customer service. He used to frequent this station and a particular female employee generally has subpar customer service. But after one particular event he will never go to this station again and give them our money. He pulled up to the pump, swiped his credit card and machine told him to go inside. He went inside, asked for $___on his pump, and his card was swiped. He pumps gas then heads over to put air in his tires. As he’s putting air in his tires this female employee comes up to him yelling«you didn’t pay. you didn’t pay». Hubby told her«yes, i paid. i was just in there and you guys swiped my card». She yells back, «no you didn’t pay» and insists he comes inside. Well, the issue was the the card reader didn’t read his card and they needed to re-swipe it. What this female employee should have said was«sir, there was a problem with your credit card. can you please come inside so we can fix the issue?». I don’t blame the hubby for never wanting to come to this place again. Who wants to be yelled at and accused of stealing gas when they didn’t? I’ll support him and never visit this station ever again.

Hey this is a spectacularly clean station. However, as I am in at 6 am I found one of the caretakers cleaning a gas lane — blocking 2 pumps. It seems that rush hour times is when any gas station does the most business and blocking 2 pumps is crazy. When I went inside — the employee at the register said that the other employee did not listen to him. Seems like it is dumb and dumber!

Oh damnit, gas is rising again! It cost just under $ 30 to fill up last Saturday. Sigh, why, why, why? I was just getting used to cheap gas again. Ah well. This is a large gas station, about a block away from the entrance and exit of the 210 freeway. Usually, it’s easier to turn into the station from the side street rather than on Huntington itself unless you were going west. Because of that, most cars were facing Huntington, leaving the empty pumps on the wrong side of me. I was glad this station was a large one so I could turn around to access the pump. I didn’t have time for a car wash but there are facilities on the premises. I’m not sure if it’s really feel like Tim C said in his review(if you fill up more than 8 gallons) since the machine asked if I wanted a car wash(and in my mind, for a fee). But I could have sworn I’ve hit this station up before past 10 p.m. and Tim says they close then. Then again, I don’t normally skulk around Monrovia past dark.

I’m giving this place 4 stars for having a drive-thru car wash for lazy butts like me. It used to be like $ 4 but then moved up to $ 5. Now it’s $ 6 but better than driving to one of those hand car washes which now charges $ 10 and more. Fill up on gas here with more than 8 gallons and you get a free car wash. Beats doing that yourself which you sort of are washing it yourself. Just don’t come here after 9PM because they shut this down by 10PM due to noise ordinance in the city of Monrovia. It’s close to residential neighborhoods.
