Fine Wine & Good Spirits

It’s easy to find what you need here and staff are a great help. I recently needed to find table wine and a good, inexpensive vodka on 2 separate occasions and I had wonderful staff help doing so. There’s wine tasting from 2 – 4 most Saturday’s and a nice certified organic section to choose some healthier wine from. There’s always a sale or two going on and chilled wine is in the back. Bonus points for new pedestrian crosswalk that was recently put in.

A great spirits store. Vast amount of wines listed by country and type. We came in here looking for something to take to a social gathering. My mother was gathering with some law officials and didn’t want to show up empty handed. I told her a fruit tray or cake is too back yard BBQ.
We asked the several staff members to assist us in choosing a good quality spirit for under $ 20 and he pointed us in the right direction. Jim Bean scotch wasn’t a bad choice but he said it would be a drink that mostly men would enjoy.
We decided on a red wine, Blackstone Cabernet Sauvignon which is one of my favorites. It was just under $ 15 and is one of the least dry of all the other reds. I choose some champagne for myself along with a bottle of Bicardi rum gold. Beautiful bottle that works very well with mixers.
This place is fairly new but the staff are great and I really enjoy the selection and sale prices. I’d prefer this store over all the others in monroeville. I’ll definitely be back!

My new obsession is Gewürztraminer, but not a single bottle of this perfectly sweet and spicy white wine can be found at my local wine and liquor store. My husband had mentioned that this new Monroeville location was fantastic, so I dropped by early this evening after a long day. The location is large, beautiful, and signed perfectly. I quickly and easily found several Gewürztraminers and purchased two of them to try. I will definitely drive out of my way to come here again!

This place is pretty new, with a great selection. I am a sweet wino and they have an entire section on the back wall.
I really like that each shelf throughout the store features one of the bottles — tells you a little about it how it should/​could be handled/​served. I have tried several bottles of liquor that I wouldn’t ordinarily have risked the price to purchase. Mostly pleased because I somewhat knew what to expect (next up: Calvados!)
Wine tasting Friday evenings!
The staff is very helpful here — even when you are giving them the «it’s a type of XXX» description. Hopped right on the internet and gave me some options — bingo, that’s the one!
Price? how can you comment, we’re in Pennsylvania!
I like to stroll here, even if there’s nothing in particular that I want — mostly because of the variety and the displays which make some really enticing suggestions!
