WHATINTHEWORLDWAS I THINKINGTRYINGTHISPLACE?!? I was driving around Monroe, to try a random spot out. Then I spotted Taco Bandido. they had a long line… good sign right? WRONG! The long line was because of the very, very slow service, in a drive thru. I sat at the drive thru for about 45 minutes. I was very upset, as you can imagine. When we finally got home, we ate the food. the food is not at all good, we could not even finish it.

The food here is good, cheap, and fast! However, they have the worst customer service in town by far. This is why i refuse to go back. It’s not just one time either, is every time! During the day is not bad, but during the evening is horrid! If your white, don’t even bother. I literally sat in line while the workers ignored me and took orders around me for ten minutes. I was the only Caucasian in the store at time. Another time, they messed up my wife’s order and told me it was our fault, because she didn’t speak loudly enough. The West Monroe location is awesome, but farther to go to.

Taco Bandido– You know bandidos is a derivative of bandit, which is essentially an outlaw. The name says it all. People either love or hate Taco Bandido. They are the fast food stepchild in the Monroe taco scene. If your trying to picture Taco Bandido, picture a place that lots of college kids go to eat mediocre food and get even less satisfying service. It is not fast, by any means, and this is not the kind of place that they kill you with kindness or even make you feel welcome. Its mostly clean if you don’t count the smeared food on the tables. BUT! It has a comforting vibe to it. You know just what you will get here and it is consistent. The food is the type that you can’t understand why you keep eating it. Don’t go in here expecting gourmet or Taco Bell. Just try it for the experience. Its fun, edgy, and it will be something to remember. Besides«Taco Bandido» is just fun to say, and you can be one of the people«in the know» in the Monroe cuisine circles.

I’ll never tire of this place. Everytime I’m home, I eat here. It’s comfort food. I have my own little both overlooking Forsythe Avenue. In high school, my boyfriend and I would snuggle up in the both and make goo goo eyes at each other. My current fiancé loves this place too, and we frequently talk about how we wish there were a location where we live now. Get yourself a margarita in a Go-Cup. It’s the Louisiana thing to do. It might be in one of those frozen drink daiquiri spinning thingies, but it tastes like heaven. Taco Bell, Taco Cabana, Taco Bueno, you’re nothing in comparison.

The service is complete shit and it’s not like this was a «one time» thing. Everytime I go there the customer service is horrible. I am officially boycotting this craphole. The food wasn’t that great either.

It looks like your average mexican restaurant and taco joint. I actually believe that Taco Bell is a better alternative to this place. The place looks pretty cheap. Okay, so that’s not the center of your dining experience, but the food is. The pictures seemed to exaggerate a little and the beef was worse than Taco Bell’s, and the nachos didn’t not have a decent nacho cheese, it was very bland. The service tend to be a little put off and act like you’re interrupting their day.

The food is terrific and it’s a good alternative to Taco Bell. Some of the staff behind the counter have real ATTITUDES. I swore I’d never go back but the food is so good I only stayed away a couple of months. Oh and the 32oz margarita will knock you down.

Good non-chain Mexican drive-through with margaritas!
