This Restaurant is no longer Mexican! After many years of enjoying eating here, I found it to be changed to Pueblo Viejo Steakhouse, with Italian cuisine. Only three mexican entrees remain on the menu, and charge for chips and salsa. I WILLNOT be back. So long Pueblo Viejo!!!

I went there because the reviews on here were good, but I was horribly disappointed. The salsa tasted like pizza sauce, but at least it was edible. The food, on the other hand, was not. I had the taco lunch special, and my sister had the enchilada lunch special. Everything about both dishes was bad. It’s the first time I paid for a meal and could only eat one bite. But the wait staff was friendly.

Not Tex-Mex at all! Very authentic Mexican food. We will definitely stop back by when in town. The chili rellenos are the bomb. So are the Margaritas!!!

Although I still love Chile Verde better, Pueblo Viejo has the better margaritas. My high school and college Spanish teachers both always said this was the more«authentic» Mexican restaurants. Fajitas are amazing, even if you do go home smelling like fajitas for two weeks. Margaritas are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good. And strong. Service is amazing. Very surprising.

On my birthday last year, the kind folks at Pueblo Viejo didn’t just bring me a sopapilla, oh no. I ordered a giant margarita, and they brought me a one. With a lime on the edge of the glass, a hole cut in the lime, with a lit happy birthday candle; as I got my happy birthday song. Really, that’s all you need to know about this place. They are insanely nice. The food is good, but the service is impeccable. If you need more than that, then just stay home. Don’t bum out my birthday. Or my Friday. Oh yeah, once I invited one of the guys to our horrible rock show at a smoky bar and he came! They’re cool. Don’t be a dink. Eat there.

Love this place. My family and I used to eat here at least once a week before my husband and I moved. The salsa and queso are usually great. There are times when they aren’t the best. Guess it depends on who makes it that day. This is one of those places you either love or you hate. I think it all depends on what you get. Their shredded chicken is not good and neither is a lot of their beef products. The fajita chicken is the only meat I eat here. I usually get the fajita chicken chimichanga, a fajita chicken burrito, or the chicken fajitas. My brothers love the quesadillas, my mother gets the chicken nachos, and my dad always gets the grilled shrimp. Stick with the fajita chicken and anything you get should be delicious.
