IHOP

I went to this location recently, I was very pleased with the staff and most certainly the food. The establishment is very clean especially the restrooms. I definitely recommend to anyone shopping at Woodbury commons or even in the area looking to catch a quick delicious bite. Enjoy folks

I generally dislike chain restaurants for a reason: you have to wait a ridiculously long time, the food is just eh, and so is the service. This was no exception. We had to wait a half hour, side dishes were forgotten, and the food is just okay. Nothing special.

Went for breakfast Saturday morning & was pleasantly surprised. It was very clean & the staff was friendly. Our food came very quickly & was good. I remembered our server, Crystal, from the previous place she used to serve because she had given me the best service I had ever had there & I had frequented it often. Crystal, again was great. She offered other items instead of what the dish came with if we’d prefer those instead. I would definitely return & ask for crystal to be my server

I would like to start off by saying we were so excited that an IHOP opened so close to home. However, sad that it didn’t meet any of the hype! We walk in and the gentleman ahead of us had already been waiting for 5 minutes without even a hello. There was no host/​hostess. At one point a waitress with a trainee in tow passed looking in our direction without any acknowledgement that we were standing there. Needless to say, we walked out after waiting for 10 minutes. And that gentleman that was ahead of us followed suit after waiting 15 mins. So with the desire for IHOP we decided to drive 25 minutes out of town to another establishment that upon walking in couldn’t have been more pleasant. Thanks to IHOP in Newburgh we were able to get our all you can eat pancake fix! IHOP Newburgh will be in all our future IHOP visits.

Not a great experience. First… We asked for booth and we’re told «No, they’re aren’t any Clean»
Then when our orders arrived wrong (bacon instead of sausage) They brought out sausage and we’re asked to Give Back the Bacon! The waitress actually held a plate for us to put it on! Were they going to put on someone else’s plate?! Yuk
The, so called, manager told us it was Ihop’s policy.

We arrived on a Wednesday evening at 7:30. There were 4 tables filled in the restaurant and a family of 5 ahead of us on line for a table. It took almost 5 minutes for the hostess to come up to front to acknowledge any of us. She then escorted the family to their table and stood and talked with the waiter for several minutes before coming back to us. Seated and waitress took our drink orders and when served she forgot our water, apologized that we also had to wait for my decaf. Food orders were taken and took 30 minutes to arrive. No explaination was given for the delay. When our orders arrived, mine was with out gravy which I requested. As I waited for the waitress to come back with the gravy I tasted my food and discovered that it was cold. Not lukewarm but cold! Could not find our waitress as she was hiding in the kitchen. Asked another waitress to get her for me. Our waitress took my plate and had the entire meal microwaved and returned it to me (still with out the gravy) Honestly, it was not hot but it was eatable. Her remark to us was that the kitchen seemed to be having difficulty with the turkey dinner in making sure it was hot. Gee. if you know the kitchen is having an issue, please double check before you serve your customer. Also could not find her to get the check –she never came back out to make sure everything was fine. The other waitress stopped by our table and asked, but not our waitress. I know this IHOP is new but this type of service from staff and kitchen will not be good for this location

I visited this IHOP at 10:50 pm, ten minutes before closing time and it was as good as it gets! Despite the fact they were all ready to close up shop and empty they gladly seated me and gave me grade A service. The music was off when I went in the restaurant and they turned it on just for me. I ordered an eggs bacon and home-​fries breakfast and it was made to perfection. I’m definitely a believer in this IHOP.
