I come to Monroe overnight once a month and I like to try out different places to eat while here. The last time I ate Chinese here, I ate at one of the typical buffet places, but did not find anything special about the food.
Then I read the reviews for this place and saw that they serve fresh food cooked to order. I decided to try it. I ordered the Hunan Shrimp and chicken with fried rice and an egg roll. It was absolutely amazing! I will definitely be back next time I am in town!

Best Chinese food I’ve had in recent memory. The staff was very friendly and the food came out quickly. Will definitely visit the next time I stop in Monroe, LA. The orange chicken combination platter gets an A in my book.

First off, this is the best Chinese food I have ever eaten, period. We dined in with 11 people. Our waitress, which I believe was one of the owners, was extremely hospitable and you can tell she deeply cared about making sure that we were happy and had our needs met at all times.
Our group was split between vegan and meat eater and everyone enjoyed their food. We bought a total of 12 vegetable spring roll for the table and everyone devoured them with in minutes! I wanted another one so bad but decided to wait for the main course. I personally had the mixed vegetable and fried rice with tofu with a spicy garlic sauce off of their vegetarian/​vegan menu and it was amazing… I don’t think it could have been any better!
On the way out I thanked our waitress and told her it was the best I have ever had and she was very humble and gracious and also told me that unlike other places all of their food is made fresh and they personally get vegetable each day which explains just how good this food really is. I really wish I could pick up this place and put it right where we lived because we would definitely eat here frequently if that were possible! Totally try this food out!!!

Very small take out location with approximately 5 – 6 tables. The staff was extremely friendly. I got take out, only took about 10 minutes to receive.
Wonton Soup — for some reason half the broth was missing and the noodles had an over-​cooked consistency.
Fried Pork Dumplings — fried perfectly, good flavor.
Egg Drop Soup — My standout favorite. Peppery and great flavor
General Tso Chicken — Good flavor
Kung Pao Chicken — Was a bit surprised to see that they breaded the chicken in this dish. Wasn’t bad but I’ll probably try something else next time
Overall, I will likely come here again. They have a very extensive vegetarian and «healthy» menu and also offer brown rice.

Yes I know people do NOT normally associate decent Chinese food with the Monroe area. Heck, I grew up in the heart of Chinatown back in Houston! I also know how picky I can be when I am craving Asian food and am not able to get out of this town. A self-​induced state of «hangry-​ness» is something I desperately try to avoid for the sake of sheer sanity!
To ease any Chinese food cravings, I recommend China Café. There are a variety of food options (no msg, brown rice) and the service is fast & friendly, whether to-​go (yes they always remember what I like to order) or dining in.
This has been on my rotation of lunch spots around town. They have the typical lunch specials you usually see at other Chinese restaurants. Peak lunch times can get busy since it is a small establishment and there might be a bit of a wait. I have dined here multiple times with groups as well and everyone enjoys the meat & vegan-​friendly options. They are more than happy to accommodate for special dietary needs, especially during Lent. I’ve been going here for years and have only had good experiences.

It looks like just another Chinese fast foods restaurant but it’s not, they’ve got some healthy menu with steam foods as well as some good vegan options, and brown rice. They promise No sugar No MSG, all natural, that’s cool in a little Chinese restaurant like this.
