I love this place!!! My favorite dish is crawfish étouffée and I am here once a week for it. The wings rock and rest if the menu is awesome.

Eh– it was okay. Really nothing special. I’ve only been here 2 or 3 times and I haven’t yet been impressed by their food. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t that great either. I think they could be a bit more New Orleans-y with their menu. Obviously we’re not located by a bayou or major body of water, so fresh seafood is tough BUT I found the menu items to be rather ordinary-stuff you could find anywhere. Service is good and very friendly. Inside of the place is dimly lit and arranged in a way that is a bit awkward– I think they would benefit from some renovations/redecorating.

Food was excellent. Service was great. Will definitely be back next time we are up that way. The atmosphere was energetic. Everyone watching the giants vs jets game. Had a great time

The food utterly sucks for the price. I can go to a deli and get a better sandwich. Wings are small and flavorless. «Cajun» fries had no seasoning. Our waitress was very knowledge and sweet. There was a kid in his PJ’s watching tv on the couch in the bar. Bye!

After about 7 years of living in this area and enduring tons of predictable Italian and Chinese food, we decided to try Bourbon Street. We usually head to the busiest local bar/restaurant in town but needed something different, and we are glad we did. After 2 visits, I can say Bourbon Street has exceptional food and service. Our favorites so far are the jambalaya and the fried crawfish appetizer with that awesome dip. The staff is extremely easy-going and their drinks do not disappoint. There are, however, 2 things that I wish were a bit different. I feel the location is so tucked away that they don’t get their fair share of patrons. Granted, I haven’t been here on a Friday or Saturday night yet, but one of the reasons we were reluctant to come here was our perception that they draw an undesirable crowd. Not true. The 2 times I came here it was a bit too quiet inside. The other thing I feel needs a little improving is the décor. From what I’ve read, they underwent a recent transformation, however I feel the owners can really capitalize off the vibrant, bold and fun New Orleans culture by really setting off the atmosphere with colorful masks, artwork, bright paint job and maybe even a kick of jazz playing in the dining room. This would probably put the place in another league! Both(minor) gripes aside, the excellent food and service will surely draw us back.

3.5 Stars! We stopped by here for dinner on a Saturday night when we were around the area. The place is very spacious. It has a bar & pool table inside. This place can be hard to find if you’re not familiar with the area. The place wasn’t busy when we got there but when we left, we saw people starts coming in. The service was great! Our waiter was very polite & the service was quick! However, the food in our opinion is just decent, nothing special. We got the veggie burger with monterey jack cheese, the shrimp quesadilla, & the mardi gras po boy. The burger & the po boy came with a cajun fries. The fries were probably the best part of the meal. It was flavorful. Everything else was just decent. The burger & the po boy were a bit bland & dry. We’re not saying the food is bad. It’s still good but not great. The portion is great for the price. All total, we spent only $ 29. We weren’t stuffed but we were full when we left the restaurant. If you’re in the area, we think it’s still worth stopping by.

I gave this place 4 stars for the food. The menu selection is different than most in the area. The jambalaya, jalapeño teriyaki wings and chicken cutlet salad are amazing! One of my favorite places to eat in Monroe. They also have a pool table and a projector screen that is great for watching games.

This place is more bar than restaurant. Good was ok but overpriced for what we received.

I CAN“T BELIEVE that I have lived here for 10 years and never tried this place!!! My daughter and I split the Seafood Gumbo as an appetizer. I can’t explain how perfect this was prepared. Shellfish, broth, seasonings, everything was spot on. Ordered the Traditional Jambalaya for dinner as was floored. Same as the gumbo, it was perfectly balanced with some spice, great sausage, perfectly cooked and seasoned rice, etc. They have a good selection of micro brews on tap and in bottles. We will definitely be back. Young waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the food. Casual atmosphere but nice and clean. You really need to try this place.

Late night Cajun fries and a stuffed burger really hit the spot, especially if they’re served with a tequila sunrise(or four)

Can’t say I have eaten too much off the menu but this is a great place for wings and a beer on a Wednesday night. Always good service and good food. This is a regular spot for us.

It’s a bit hidden from the main strip but the food at this place is sneaky good. I swear this place is one of the most consistent places(food wise) I have ever eaten. The service has been a little spotty on occasions, and the beer selection does leave a lot to be desired; but the food never lets me down. The bread with dipping oil you receive here is flat out addicting and probably enough of a reason to return. I get the penne alla vodka with shrimp every time I come in here. Now I know, this place has the Cajun theme going on and what not, but they still know how to make this dish just right. It’s $ 12 for a decent sized pasta dish, and $ 4 extra for the addition of 8 good sized shrimp; you can’t beat that anywhere. If you are looking for a casual bar atmosphere with good food, I can’t think of anywhere better in the area.

The best service and food I’ve ever had. Try the wings and buffalo chicken po’ boy! They always accommodate you no matter what, food or otherwise. I would recommend Bourbon Street for anyone looking for a cool place to hang out or a nice dinner out.

First visit of more to come. We had the cheese steak wonton starters which were yummy. The seafood gumbo was great! Hubby had the New Orleans pasta which he enjoyed. Prices are very reasonable. This is a new regular spot for us.

hmm… maybe its the dearth of good restaurants in this area… i was surprised when we got our food. I read so many good reviews… but the food we received was disappointing. We ordered two sandwiches(catfish poboy, philly cheesesteak poboy) and two orders of wings. The wings were not that memorable — except they were small. The catfish sandwich was too bland. I don’t think I will return…

Walked in at 945pm to get some dinner and despite the kitchen closing in 5 minutes and denying us service; they cheerfully invited us in and went through the specials and happy hour options with us. The seafood gumbo had a little spin to it with kale instead of okra with I enjoyed and a generous portion of crawfish and an assortment of seafood. The waitress was extremely sweet and constantly checked up on us. She even shared their weekend events with us and welcomed us back anytime. Great experience at this bar/grill!

Sponsored my son’s little league team so wanted to go in and check it out! Between the 6 of us, we had 2 orders of wings-bourbon street(awesome) and medium(excellent) wings Nice to see a kids menu for 4.95-that was actually a meal! My dad had the seafood gumbo AND a burger – couldn’t stop raving– I had the blue cheese bacon burger– Outrageous– Get the Cajun fries… you won’t be disappointed!

This place has cleaned itself up and is on its way to being more than just a local bar. The food is good with louisana flare. Many creole, gumbo and jambalya dishes. Our server was very friendly and well informed. Don’t be afraid to try this place. Delicious burgers! A little more spucing up of the dining room and it’s going to be very inviting for families too.
