I enjoy coming here. The staff is very nice. Food has a home cooked taste to it and comes to the table hot. Live by the rule of hot food should be served hot and cold food cold. Pricing is affordable and portion sizes are large.

I ordered a chicken tempura roll and was served a shrimp tempura roll. I questioned the waiter, who assured me it was chicken. After I tasted it, I knew it was shrimp. I called over the waiter again. He’s insisting it’s chicken. The other waiter gets involved, and the woman who I believe is the owner. They’re all running around like chickens without heads, trying to figure out how it happened, but nobody is dealing with me. Finally, I get a lame excuse about how the chef got confused because two orders came in at once. Not my problem! They tell me they will bring my chicken roll, when they bring it the waiter finally apologizes. This was the second time they got my order wrong and acted like it was my fault. I think they need to brush up on their customer service skills.

Clean, good service, the Sushi is fresh and delicious. The Shrimp Tempura was crisp, and delicious. My Alaskan roll was so fresh! I will definitely come back.

Ordered delivery at 4:45 which arrived not so promptly 50 min later with a surprise new delivery fee added on and a super grumpy delivery dude. Kids ordered the shrimp yaki udon noodles. So salty I could puke. I ordered a mix of yellow tail and tuna rolls. All of them very fishy tasting and chewy. And the«crunch» they added was so stale I almost broke a tooth on it. Worst sushi I’ve had In a very long time. And for the first time ever I threw some out without finishing.

I recently tried this place a 2nd time only because my 1st choice, Suki Sushi, wasn’t delivering that night… I understand why this place isn’t my first choice. It’s not BAD, but its just not that tasty. I don’t know what it is, but every dish was just underwhelming, with the exception of the spicy salmon avocado salad, which was really tasty and fresh. I would get that again. My husband ordered the Yummy Philly roll and I tried one, it was the first time that I ever spit out sushi. It was inedible. He said it wasn’t that bad, but I just couldn’t. The shumai was decent. My New Jersey roll was just ok. Definitely less priced than the area choices, but I’d rather pay more and really enjoy my meal.

We called in for a delivery order. They were super rude, she asked me to put in a tip from my credit card or give the driver cash because my brother did not tip the driver last time he ordered food from there, which I personally thought was very inappropriate. When the food did get here the driver was also not very nice, and to make things worse the sushi was very poorly made.

The sushi was good for the price. The people that worked here were not in tune with our energetic group but that’s ok. They do have some good item selections and everyone ordered something that turned them on, so it was good. I got the spicy tuna roll and it was ok. I’m spoiled by great sushi spots in Los Angeles so I didn’t expect it to be that good but it was. I got a free bowl of edamame when I check in on Unilocal so don’t forget to check in!

Great sushi place tucked near Jamesburg for those who work in the area. Went on a Monday afternoon(around 4) and had the place to ourselves for quite a while. It’s BYOB so we brought a bottle of wine and they accommodated immediately with some glasses and kept out waters filled. Loved the special rolls and gyoza that we ordered. The fish was very fresh. I’d definitely come back to this place.

Average NJ sushi but what great about here is the prices are good. Restaurant is decorated in your typical Japanese décor with sushi bar in the back wall. Service was good the time my family ate here. The sushi is fresh and the pieces are a little above average, so it’s a good value. Rice is in the stiffer side I can see myself coming in to get my fix if near by. The menu is standard akin to most other Japanese Restaurants in the area. Word if advice if you like tempura you will leave with a bloated greasy feeling even if you order tempura rolls. Yes it is that greasy! The same for the spicy rolls, which has tempura flakes in it. The search continues for a Japanese Restaurant I can call my favorite in NJ. =(

Excellent service, quiet atmosphere. Good dinner date place. I had shrimp teriyaki, which was well prepared. The miso soup was a little too sweet for my taste.

Four stars? Impossible. To start, there’s no hibachi tables. Where’s the fun in that? So OK. We get take out. Not a fan of the soup. Kind of tasteless. We got the chicken hibachi dinners. Believe me when I say NO. I don’t know what happened to the chicken. It was very tough and dry. I kind of wanted to lay it to rest in my garden. The rice was unremarkable. We didn’t even save the leftovers. Positives were friendly staff and decent prices. But if you want good hibachi, you’ll have to keep looking.

I keep trying to give this place chances and unfortunately they keep disappointing. I wish their was a better closer decent sushi place around here. I have a problem with their rice in general wish I could say it was just the sushi but even as a side their rice fails. It’s dry, hard and somewhat sticky and that’s just as a side. It does not matter how«fresh the ingredients are» the rice if not made correctly can make or break the«best» sushi roll. Sushi rice should be plump, soft and moist not be able to make a fall apart snowball. If their entrees, salads and appetizers were outstanding then I could overlook the rice problem. They are below sub par I’m trying to be impartial but it is difficult to speak the truth. I suppose I am glutton for punishment. All I wanted was sashimi tonite although the fish was ok. not spectacular, it was still unfulfilling. The Prices are somewhat Par For Course but depending on what u order can be considered either«normal-overpriced.» Although presentation is beautiful execution is not good. All I can say is check it out for yourself.

I have to say, this is a pretty decent place in NJ to get sushi. The sushi is delectable and scrumptious. My sister, friend, and I consumed 5 rolls of sushi within 7 minutes. And that’s saying something. I’ll definitely be coming back for more impromptu sushi dates with my sister and friend.
