Expect to wait 40 min before you get your food. Bathrooms disgusting, women’s bathroom had 2 stalls«out of order». Poor service. Sushi only decent.

The lunch menu is the best thing to do seeing as their dinner menu is so expensive. We always get sushi for hibachi lunch for work and their sushi is very delicious and fresh. Their miso soup is average soup. Their side salad the lunches come with is small but it comes with the meal. Overall, a very good japanese restaurant for the middle of nowhere and if you get the lunch deals the price is worth it. Sushi lunches are $ 10-$ 12 and the don buri dishes are $ 8.

Not the worst place I’ve ever been to. Pros: The teriyaki scallops were good. They offer brown rice as a sub for white rice. Prices are reasonable, but you get what you pay for. Staff was courteous. Cons: Took about 5 minutes for us to get acknowledged, another 5 for water(not busy at all). Kani salad is about 75% panko. Tea is not at all flavorful. Veggie sides were cold. They brought my bf’s food out 5 minutes before mine, and when they finally brought mine out it was wrong. Being a gentleman, he waited for me but by that time his seafood dish was less than lukewarm. After drinking most of it, I found a small fly in my water. It’s not an awful place, but with so many choices in the area I will likely opt for someplace else.

Fuji does a half price sushi bit Monday-Thursday and it is a great deal. The place was packed with sushi lovers. We ordered three apps(gyoza, edamame and seaweed salad) and two rolls a piece to share for a whopping total of $ 17 a piece with tax and tip. The apps were nicely done. I love me some edamame and it was freshly steamed with the right amount of sea salt thrown on. The sushi itself was on point. I had very low expectations for«half price» sushi and each roll exceeded those expectations. I specifically ordered the Jade roll and sweet potato roll. Jade was white tuna with jalapeño. The only thing lacking was service. The waiter came over and the only thing he said was«ready?» definitely come M-Th.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I’ve been here several times & each time it gets worse and worse. I usually leave a hibachi meal so full that I can hardly stand, after my last meal here I had to eat a dinner when I came home because the food was inedible at the restaurant. They should be out of business for what they tried to pass off as food. Go somewhere else, a NYC hot dog from a street vendor would have been better!

Fuji was a different atmosphere than most. The chefs prepare the food on the grill in front of everybody. They put on a little show too depending on the chef I have noticed. Our chef was solid. He prepared the food very quickly. The rest of the staff was solid too. I ordered the hibachi steak, chicken, and shrimp. There was a deal with this order. I also had the out of control roll. I have listed each food that was part of my meal and provided a brief description below. Out of Control Roll — This roll was a spicy tuna roll with pepper tuna on top in a wasabi sauce. The quality was very good and the wasabi sauce was a nice touch with this roll. Miso Soup — Nothing great. I have never been a big fan. House Salad — It was just lettuce with their house dressing. Rice — It was pleasant. It was cooked to perfection and had a good amount of seasoning. Noodles — They were very plain. I ate this together with the rice because of the blandness. Vegetables — There were not too many of the vegetables given. I added the sauce they give in the dishes beforehand. I’m not too sure the name of it, but it complements most of the food especially the vegetables. Shrimp — The shrimp were flavored nicely. 6 shrimp were given and of good size. Chicken — This lacked flavor and was a little tough. Steak — I ordered medium rare, but it was medium. I’m not a big complainer so it was not a big deal. The pieces of steak were a little tough too. Pistachio Ice Cream — The ice cream was very tasty. There were plenty of pistachios as well. Will I go back? I might.

Sushi at Fuji is incredibly fresh and delicious. I paused after each bite to appreciate the flavor. I ordered the Dragon Roll, salmon sashimi, and seaweed salad — all were wonderful! I will definitely be coming back whenever I’m in the area. As a bonus, from 4:30 — 8:30 on Monday-Thursday, they offer ½ price sushi for dine in orders(not to go). What a steal!

During the week, you can’t do better. The sushi is well made, fresh, and may I add half price during the week! And even during this time, the service is fast and courteous. The only reason they lose a star is because they charge extra for condiments. For example, they charge 50 cents extra for a side of spicy mayo. Not a huge deal, but sort of penny pinching, when i’m sure because of the half priced deals, people usually end up spending more money than they normally would.

Fuji is one of the best restaurants in the area, sushi or otherwise. Both the hibachi and sushi are always fresh and delicious and the staff has always been great. Try sitting at the sushi bar and talk with the chefs. Great half-off sushi specials on weekdays during dinner time. Dine-in only.

I have only had the hibachi during lunchtime twice in the past week. I had my kids with me and the kids liked the food. The chef cooking for us both times, cooked really quickly so he can move to the next table. It seemed like there was only one chef — he did not do much of a show for any table. The food and service were very good and the lunch specials provided great value. I plan on re-visiting, only when I take the kids though.

Went with work collogues. The place is ok. The guy that makes the food didn’t do as many tricks as we’d like. Our boss was kinda upset they didn’t do the volcano onion trick. I also wish they catered towards vegetarians better. I had the tofu teriyaki. It was OK, but I wish I had a side of noodles or something like the hibachi. It would of tasted really good! Anyways, the service is decent.

Unimpressive. The hibachi chef was unskilled, but pleasant. The meats were overcooked and the only flavor in the food was salt. Definitely not a do-over.

I had lunch in this place today. Con: they took forever to take my order and the place was almost empty, the waitress was kind of rude. Pros: the sushi was really really good. It was fresh, great presentation and size.

I’ve been coming to this sushi spot for many years now. I have yet to be disappointed with anything I have ordered. They know me by name now so I guess that shows you how often I go! Every birthday is celebrated and when my parents come up from Florida, we go here! Half price sushi Monday-Thursday from 4:30 — 8:30 is literally the best deal. Includes a decent selection of appetizers and sushi rolls. Best bargain. Hibachi isn’t skimped out on either. I refuse to go to the more expensive places because you don’t get rice and noodles, here you get both with your entrée! They also have an awesome punch card for when you spend a certain amount. When you fill up the card(which is simple to do) you get a $ 30 gift certificate to use the next time you go! Great place, great staff.

Fuji is my family’s go-to for sushi(I’ve only tried the hibachi once and it was from a regular table, so no show, just the food, which was good btw). Monday through Thursday they have ½ price sushi from 4:30 — 8:30, which is a great deal! Especially because the sushi is very fresh and tasty. We always get a mix of regular rolls, special rolls, sashimi, and sushi so we’ve tried a lot of the sushi menu here. The service is pretty fast, especially considering how busy it is during these weeknights for the ½ price sushi. They also have appetizers as part of their ½ price sushi specials, I think 2 for $ 7 or 2 for $ 10 from a list of appetizers that conveniently includes all of the ones I would want anyway, so it’s perfect. I would definitely recommend Fuji!

We went to Fuji for New Years Eve this year for the third straight year. We look forward to the Hibachi and the show the Hibachi chefs put on. You know the drill… starting a fire ion the grill, squirting saki in your mouth, etc. The first thing we noticed this year was how unwelcome we felt the minute we walked in. There was a huge sign on the door stating NOCOUPONS, NO ½ PRICESUSHI, NOSPECIALS! OK, it’s New Years Eve, so understandable, but you didn’t have to scream it… We got led to our table around the hibachi grill and the waitress came and took our order. Then the chef came out and promptly said there would be no fire at the table because there were children there. WTF? So he proceeded with the most boring presentation I ever saw at a Hibachi grill. No fire, no catching shrimp in the hat, no spinning eggs, no saki… just this boring Japanese guy… cooking. And not well… The rare steak was overdone, the chicken was underdone, and the portions were so ridiculously small we left hungry. On top of that, they overcharged us by charging my wife for chicken and steak and only giving her chicken and shrimp… which everyone got! That was the last time I’ll go there New Years Eve, or quite frankly… EVER!

I haven’t tried the sushi here, so this review is just for the hibachi side of the restaurant. My husband and I arrived around 5:00 or so, which is relatively early for dinner. They seated us at the hibachi grill and brought us our drinks right away. But they seemed to be waiting for more customers to fill up the table, since it was a little while before they finally took our order. Eventually, a single man came in and they sat him with us. The food was decent, though not the best I’ve had. My husband got the steak and chicken; I think I just got the chicken. I don’t have anything to complain about; it was just mediocre and I don’t really have a reason to come back.

One of my favorite sushi spots period. Having dined here on countless occasions it’s safe for me to stamp my highest rating. A warm inviting feel above & beyond the call of duty is their mantra. Perhaps due to the fact that we’ve frequently visited her over a 5 plus year span has spurred preferential treatment or are they just awesome. Always some type of a savings option or coupon available. The fish is always fresh and ample size has kept me coming back. The hibachi grill rock’s with a never ending barrage of birthday candle lighting drum beating music pounding awesomeness(my kids visit on their birthday here at least 3 to 4 times a year and they always play along). BYOB bonus! Relaxed environment with a magnificent product.

Fuji is a place that my co-workers and I order from pretty often. I have to say, this is a really solid Japanese/Sushi restaurant. Monday through Thursday from 4 to 8 I think, they have half price sushi(not the whole menu though, but a very good selection at a great price. We had about 5 rolls and the total bill was like $ 19 bones. They have Hibachi, and other Japanese cooked menu items… and the ones I’ve had have been very good. Beef Negimaki is really good. The Lunch Box is a great deal… a ton of food for about $ 10. If you are in the Dayton area and want some good Sushi/Japanese food, you can’t go wrong with Fuji.
