The best on tacos I’ve had in a long time — what a surprise from such a hole in the wall place in a very small town. Made 12 hours of volleyball worth it!

I’ve tried different foods(mini tacos, regular tacos, burrito, chimichanga and combination meals) from this place and they were all good with really cheap price. I’ve only discovered this place last week and I’ve been eating here every night since then. Tasty food for a cheap price!

I love this place! The service is great and they remember my order. I can just come in and they already know what I want. The air conditioners they installed makes it nice and comfy in summer. The food is the best Mexican I’ve had in Oregon. The value for price is great too. I love their late hours as well. This has replaced muchas grasias for me.

This place is AWESOME. Huge burritos that are very good, I highly recommend. The prices are great also. Down side is they are almost always busy, but if you call ahead food is ready quickly. A friend and I usually split a burrito because they are so big. Inside is average looking Mexican food style. They do have at least one outside table also. If you’re in town and want to grab something quick, cheap, and amazing… This is it.

I have been there around 3 times each time I was disappointed with the food. One of the times I went to order a quick burrito took off in a hurry to eat it on the way. Was not happy that my chicken burrito was beef. No time to return it either ugh. The place was clean and there wasn’t a line it was around 1 pm. I Would not recommend it. I am Latina so some aspects are authentic ish but it’s barely a notch above muchas status.

So great. I’ve only had their burritos so far, but they’re so good I’ve endeavored to try every one. It’s not unheard of for me to get a bite of pure fat or gristle or something with my steak burrito, but it’s made incredibly fast for a really cheap price. They’re so delicious they end up becoming a highlight of my day when I get them.

My husband and I love Koyotes! We always get the mini tacos. I love the carne asada, the chicken and the adobada(pork). They come topped with fresh chopped white onion and cilantro– YUM. Must have the green sauce and the horchata! :)

Amazing fresh, authentic foods. The young lady behind the counter remembered us even though we had only been in one time before. Love the Carnitas and Carne asada. Open late for college students but that’s a win for me too. Very reasonable prices and very nice portion size.

I had shrimp enchiladas, they were not on the menu but they have shrimp tacos so I asked and she said yes. It was very good. My wife had a half order of nachos and said that they were good also. The girl who was working at the counter was very friendly and our food was done in about 10 minutes.

Authentic food, quick service. Easy walk from WOU. Not terribly fancy, but an excellent dining option when staying at or around Western.

My cohortie and I decided to have late dinner after our homework. She had bean burrito. It looked tasty I ordered chile relleno. It tasted so good! I love how the cheese melt in child relleno. They used right cheese. Authentic food! They have horchata. I came back for the second time with carne asada taco. I will come back next summer when I stay at WOU.

Carne Asada burrito with everything will provide lunch and dinner or you can share it with a friend, or you can just eat it all in one sitting. Good luck, it’s delicious.

I was pleasantly surprised that this little taco place served great food. After living in San Diego for the last 20 years, then moving to Monmouth Oregon, I thought that I would never have good Mexican food again, well I was wrong! Koyote Tacos has pretty dang good food. Carne asada burrito’s are almost as good as you can get in San Diego. I hope they keep up the good food! I think that Rick L should make another visit. He would be amazed.

My friends and I go to koyotes at least twice a week. The woman working there is so nice and helpful. The menu is a bit overwhelming so I just stuck to the good basics(4 mini tacos with carne asada and carnitas). They have a good location being right off of downtown Monmouth and on the WOU campus. I hope that they stay in business for many many years to come! I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves a good meal. I will for sure go there many years to come!

Wow, this place was a train wreck on our visit! We walk in and the first thing we see is an overflowing trash can right inside the door with trash on the ground around it. We arrived after the lunch rush, but still. You order at the counter and they yell your name out when your food is ready. You can grab bottled/canned drinks from one of the coolers but the fountain drinks and waters are done behind the counter. Maybe the students had previously disregarded the no free refill policy? The food was not very different from that national taco chain that wants you to Live Mas. You do get a lot for your money but it’s a lot of blandness. One of us got a nice hair right in the middle of the burrito. Yum. My Chorizo breakfast burrito had virtually no taste. The single restroom was nasty and creepy. Black plastic haphazardly taped to the window was a different look. The TP was sitting on the floor next to the toilet and the trash was overflowing. All that and the person at the counter looked at me like I was crazy when I asked if they had a recycling container for my can. Ugh!

Friends had gotten take-out for us a few weeks ago, and the pollo asado really stuck with us – we found ourselves craving it recently. So we hopped in the car, went over the bridge and through the woods to Monmoth and walked into Koyote Tacos. We’ve only had a few things on the menu, and I cannot speak with authority about regional authenticity, etc. All I know… this food taste good! The pollo asado has plump pieces of chicken with an aromatic and flavorful spicing plated with the usual suspects. The beans are a little thin, but the rice was moist and flavorful, fresh lettuce, pico, quac, etc. Eating in, we enjoyed all the spicy carrots we could eat, yummy green mild salsa and a flavorful and well balanced heat of a hot red salsa. They have a good selection of sodas(Pepsi products in the fountain, and various bottled soda including imports using real cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup). Menu is large with all the usual suspects, we’ll have to try our way through a few other things as we visit once or twice a month. A friend loves their tortas, too.
