Unfortunately, it seems like every time we go here this place gets worse. We ordered a carne asada plate, which is $ 8.50, and we didn’t get our tortillas. This would be all right, I guess, except this was the most bland carna asada I think I’ve ever tasted. It didn’t have any seasoning whatsoever, not even salt, and it was very tough and full of gristle. We ended up feeding it to our puppy. I also ordered two breakfast burritos, which were just okay. They were, unlike the carne asada, salt bombs and very greasy. On top of all this, the customer service is pretty awful. I felt like we were an inconvenience. I genuinely felt like I wasted my money and it’s not cheap either.
I’ve given this place so many chances, and honestly the only reason we went there this time was because Los Amigos was closed. Do yourself a favor and drive an extra mile or two down the road and go to Los Amigos. It’s not only cheaper, but much, much better food with excellent service. Your options are limited here in the valley, but not that limited.

Best tacos around. They’re big and flavorful, loaded with meat, pico and guacamole. I’ve heard their breakfast burritos are excellent too, but I have yet to try one. Great hole in the wall authentic Mexican cooking, and worth crossing the river for if you’re in the Needles area.

I absolutely love this place. Don’t be fooled by the lack of seating available. I can’t wait to go back! Great customer service and great food for a great price!

Food was great the Burritos that my family and I ordered were simply delicious, and they were really big! (That’s what she said) Overall I recommend eating here if it wasn’t so far from the city, it’s near Avi Resort and Casino.

De camino entre Williams y 29 Palms en nuestro road trip, paramos en este pueblo a comer. Unilocal recomendaba este mexicano. Los encargados te alegran la vida, simpatiquísimos! La comida: fast food mexicana sin màs. El lugar: diminuto, 4 mesitas con dos sillas cada uno. Lo dicho, fast food.

When hubby sent me out on a breakfast run and said it was around the corner, he wasn’t kidding… it was seriously around the corner and I was back to the house in 20 minutes with 4 of the largest and heaviest breakfast burritos! This place does not mess around when it comes to breakfast burritos and you could easily share these babies. They are stuffed solid and made fresh to order. My only gripe is that it was too heavy on the potatoes and not enough egg (I ordered it with egg, potato, cheese, grilled onion and avocado). I like the salad bar because you can help yourself to several different salsa types/​flavors. I would suggest that they have bigger containers though. You could easily use 4 little cups of salsa because the burrito are so substantial. Service was very fast, friendly and will definitely return!

Best place to eat! Good prices, great food and the most friendly people! This is the best kept secret on the river hands down.

The reviews are spot on… yummy breakfast burritos! We ordered 5 buritos and they made them quickly and did not skimp on ingredients. My fiancé had his own. I split with my mom and we were both full… very filling. We got ours with no potato to save some carbs… hahaha.. This is a small hole in the wall place with like 3 tables inside connected to the Mobil gas station. We took ours to go back to my parents RV. I will come here again next time we are in Needles at the river… yummy food!

Authentic Mexican food with no frills. No tables. No ambulance. Just super delicious

Good Mexican food for the middle of the desert. Chili rellano burrito would have been better without beans as they overpower the chili taste but the cheese was plentiful and melter nicely. The breakfast burrito was good. This is far better than other food choices in the area

It’s definitely what you’d call a «hole in the wall» restaurant, but well worth the stop. My friends and I have been frequenting this taco shop since I was in high school. They have some amazing burritos, the tamales are decent, and the quesadillas are enormous and tasty. None of the food is going to be low fat, but it is all delicious. My husband and I come a few times a month, and we’re never disappointed. The price is great for what you get, as well!

From the outside, looks are deceiving. Doesn’t give you confidence.
On the inside though, the food is worth going out of your way and crossing the river to get it.
Great for take out, eating in is pretty basic.
But…, the food is good. Beer from the convenience store next door.

This is one of the best taco shops I have ever ate at. Way better than a lot of the places I’ve been to in LA and Orange County. I recommend the California burrito or the super nachos or fries.
