Terry’s Touch of Gold

For years I have purchased rings, necklaces, and earrings from this family run jeweler, had always been treated well and felt that I had a good relationship with them. UNTIL I met the old guy, Terry Sr. I went in to request an estimate for a ring I was thinking of selling. His exact word’s were «You tell me how much you want, I’ll tell you yes or no, that’s how I do it». I was shocked, I watched as Terry Jr just sat and cowered as his father treated a customer with such disrespect. I felt I was on a episode of“Hardcore Pawn” I’ll never go back, let alone refer anyone else.

My fiancé and I just happen to walk in because I needed a ring repaired. Just small crack in it. The girl in the front had good customer service. The guy gave me fair price. $ 20 bucks and pick it up in a week. I had a lot going on and believe it or not I forgot about it. But they gave me a curiosity call to let me know it was done. I didn’t take a look at the jewelry they carry so I’m not sure how great the selection is. But I would say check um out for repairs.

Took my wife’s ring for repair on Wednesday (⁷⁄₁₆) and was told it would be ready on Tuesday (⁷⁄₂₂). Went in on Tuesday, only to be told it wouldn’t be ready until Wednesday morning. Went in on Wednesday at noon and still not ready. Ten more minutes and it would be done. As we waited, the owner’s dog roamed freely without a leash in the shop, sniffing at our legs and at one point licking my wife’s foot. Completely unprofessional and disturbing.
When the ring was done, I requested a discount, which we were given. Had I not requested this discount, it’s obvious that we would have been charged the full amount.
We will definitely not be returning there again and highly recommend that you not
take your business there, unless you like being put off and enjoy a dog sniffing your legs and licking your feet.

I went in for a watch battery replacement. They were fast, professional, and friendly.

I recently went here with my boyfriend to pick out an engagement ring. After checking out all the other jewelry stores, we found that my boyfriend didn’t qualify for the credit, and we needed to find another option. A friend from work suggested we try Terry’s and we were immediately impressed with them! Right away we were approved for credit and they sat right down with us and I described the ring that I liked in another store. They drew a picture of the ring right there and that night they emailed me pictures of the computer generated model to confirm that it was what I wanted! I just got my ring this weekend, and it is more beautiful than the ring I saw in the other store! They did an excellent job!
The folks at Terry’s are friendly and really care about their profession, and you can tell that they want you to get the best product possible. I will probably go here for all my fine jewelry needs from now on, because I believe in staying loyal to a good business!

This great store is located in Century Center. I would have given it five stars, but the prices are high and I’m not a fan of jewelry in the first place (so I’m a little bias).
That being said, the service here is outstanding. Not only will they help you find what you need, but they will teach you how not to get swindled by less reputable jewelry establishments. I don’t go enough to be memorable, but when I do go, I feel like the jewelers are putting out a real effort to remember who I am and what I have needed in the past.
