I absolutely love it here. They have a very nice staff and they have a variety condiments and they are alll tasty. It gets pretty packed around lunch and weekends for breakfast.

Living in the central valley is no bed of roses, but when it comes to Mexican restaurants we have an embarrassment of riches. Why anyone would waste their time at a chain when we have amazing, family-​run, authentic Mexican places to enjoy is beyond me. This place is wonderful; food is on point, the décor is adorable, place is clean, service is friendly, the salsa bar is great. Love it!

FOOD POISONING! Never thought I would give compadres one star. We have been eating at this restaurant since it opened and have always liked it. However, we ate there for dinner last night and I have been up sick with food poisoning all night long from something I ate from there. So disappointing and upsetting to know that I have eaten something that is making me sick. I hope they do something to evaluate their cleanliness/​kitchen practices and fix whatever problem has caused me to become ill. To say the least, I will never again eat at any of the compadres taquerias after this experience.

This is one of the two… great food… always busy, always good service, food is prepared after ordering, salsa bar is great. chili relleno… is delicious. I benchmark Mexican restaurant on the chili relleno. and how good they are made… yummy

The food is delicious and have the most reasonable prices. Complimentary chips are unlimited. Employees are super nice. However, when I order takeout, they add extras to the order sometimes, ending up with a higher total cost. Regardless, this is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Modesto and is the closest, most convenient place near me.

First off I passed on the traditional breakfast and settled for a Lengua Super Buritto, which was very delicious. My wife had the Chorizo Plate which was very tasty. I can’t speak for some of the other posts, but the food here can’t be any more Authentic, love this place and the service was on point. And I’ve had my fair share of mexican food, I grew up on this food as far as back as I could rememeber. I will definitely be coming back here soon.

Went here last night with my husband and was so disappointed with the service we received. I got a veggie burrito $ 6.50 and my husband had a shrimp burrito $ 6.25. They were very small and had no flavor. I will not be returning here. I can get a burrito at a taco truck and actually be satisfied and full.

Hands down best taqueria in Modesto. I’ve been coming here for over 8 years. My parents live across the street and my family lives close. In 8 years I’ve written maybe one Unilocal review. In 8 years frequenting Mis Compadres: predictability of good quality: 5, friendliness of services and staff: 5, cleanliness: 5, prompt order fulfillment: 5. They are the best. In all this time I haven’t had one bad experience. Hats off.

This has to be the best most CLEAN AND NEAT Mexican restaurant in the central valley! Every time we’ve visited, I have witnessed 2to 3 waitresses making sure the dinning area is spotless– including making sure the salsa bar is freshly stocked and iced.
Great service and easy on the pocket book.

I’m really disappointed. This place has went down hill. I really enjoyed this place when first moving to modesto a couple years ago. Since the last time it wasn’t so good I decided to give it another chance. Horrible. Just horrible. I bought 2 burritos 1 pastor and 1 Chile Verde and a Carne asada taco. The flavor was not good on the pastor. Too many onions and the pastor had chunks of fat, there was barely any meat on the Chile Verde. I think I found 2 pieces. the asada taco was just ok. What a waste of money I will not be coming back.

I really wanted steak and mexican food and since this relatively close I decided to give it a try. I ordered the carne asada super burrito and my bf ordered the al pastor tacos. I tried a bite of his al pastor taco and it was okay. The meat was tender but it was very very saucy. My burrito was just okay too since i felt like some of the pieces of carne asada were tough and overly chewy. Again my burrito was also much saucier than I expected since it was dripping. They give you chips when you order so when you receive it it is still warm and they have a salsa bar off to the side which had some pretty good selection of salsa. The service here is pretty good, everyone was attentive and nice when taking our order and delivering our food.

Highly recommend this place is awesome I love the atmosphere I believe it is family Owned they have great customer service and the place is always nice and tidy. And I do notice how nice and caring the employees are. I come here every time I want mexican food, pricing is good as well!
