Excellent food, courteous staffs, food wait times are decent. I normally come here for special occasions. Average wait time for busy days are 45 mins probably because its located in a big city.

I brought a friend to dinner here lastnight and I ordered the lobster scampi which was fantastic, my friend ordered shrimp and scallop fettuccine which was also amazing, and we also ordered stuffed mushrooms that were also delicious… and to chase all of this tasty food down we ordered Bahama mamas that left us with a fuzzy buzzy feeling which was awesome ;) the service was great, the wait was a little long but not too bad, all in all it was a great dinner and a wonderful experience.

Had dinner last night with my wife, daughter, and granddaughter. I ordered the captains seafood platter, and didn’t want the salad, as I’m not a salad lover. Asked for a cup of chowder instead, and was told that it would have to be charged for! My drink was ordered as either a raspberry tea, or a mango tea. What was brought was a mysterious color and taste. It was explained later that it was a combination of BOTH! Sent it back and got a mango tea in it’s place. Still tasted crappy. When the order was taken, and I didn’t want the salad, the waitress asked if I wanted extra fries with the dinner. I replied no, as I am not a huge fan of a plate of fries. When the platter arrived, half of it was smothered in fries, anyway! They were just wasted, as I didn’t want, nor could I eat them all. Shrimp, clam strips, and bay scallops were good, but fish had some type of plastic, or paper on one piece, which had to be removed from my mouth, as it felt like the shell of a shrimp on it! My wife ordered fish and chips, with a baked potato, and the fish was barely warmed, and the baked potato was almost cold. All in all, not a very pleasant experience. I would have liked to have had some type of lobster and steak combo, but with prices around $ 37 for them, that’s too much. Sizzler has much better food and friendlier prices. Oh well, live and learn!

Was gonna go here for our Anniversary dinner yesterday. …230 on a Saturday, I got excited when I saw all the parking spaces that were available but when we got to the door it was still a 45 minute wait. Food is good here but nothing is worth that long of a wait. Looked to be a staffing problem. We left and ate at another restaurant nearby. Shoot when we went to Bubba Gumps it was way busier than this and we didn’t wait at all.

Great customer service and food. 2 things to nitpick on: we(my family) waited outside because we were given an electronic device that notifies us when a table is ready. We didn’t know there was room inside to wait in the meantime. Also it took awhile to get our food after we ordered it compared to most other restaurants. They could do a better job of anticipating how busy they will be and having enough workers to cover it. Other than that the experience seemed to be perfect. Reasonable prices, good atmosphere, and a good menu. Had a great night tonight.

For some reason I was craving this place today(haven’t been in for gosh nearly 15 years) and now i remember whey… I can say they have Friendly service and attentive bartenders. However, I Didn’t enjoy the lobster(dry and no flavor) or the scallops. Drinks were fun.

Who reviews Red Lobster anymore? That’s exactly why I decided to write a review for our local Modesto store, and give you some«Pro-tips» for this store. This was a spur of the moment trip to the Lobster of redness, and it usually happens that way when we start to crave mussels again. More accurately, the sauce that Red Lobster makes for the mussels. We arrived at about 5PM, prime rush time for any restaurant, and it was the first weekend of the month, so expectedly it was busy. There were people sitting outside, and the parking lot was full. We lucked out and found a spot right up front when someone left. There’s a long bench inside for people to wait, but then you have to watch the«chosen few» walk by like a coronation, following their waiter to the throne. Besides, the bench is within eye shot of a few tables, and it’s very uncomfortable to sit there while someone is sopping up lemon butter with their cheesy biscuit. We checked in, and the young lady at the podium — who’s job is to hide the sacred list of future royalty from the current line of peasants, informed us that it would be a 45 minute wait. But she’s ignorant to the ways of the bar area. This is pro-tip number 1. Always sit in the bar unless there’s no wait whatsoever. This particular restaurant has a fast turnover in the bar seating area, and there is ample seating there. There are plenty of booths too, so comfortable seating for family. But the biggest is a 4 person booth, so you don’t have to take the mother in law. Instead of waiting for 45 minutes, we simply did what we always do, which is hover in the doorway and look as imposing as possible, so anyone who was thinking about sticking around after eating and chit-chatting instead of un-assing the booth would think twice. Sure enough, there was an ugly couple sitting near the front with an obvious«get the hell out» sign on their table, err I mean a bill folder with a receipt sticking out. They got up, we sat down WHILETHETABLESTILLHADTRASHONIT. Don’t wait for a waiter to clean the table or you will lose your spot. So we were seated in 1 minute instead of 45, much to the chagrin of the peasants waiting in the hall. Pro-tip number 2. DON’T eat the biscuits when they bring them to your table. For one, it will fill you up and you won’t eat half your dinner. Remember, the reason you came to Red Lobster? Save them, and dip them. More on that in a minute. My wife and I both ordered the butter garlic wine sauce. Also known as the mussels appetizer. But it wouldn’t have mattered if they served that sauce over shoe leather, we would have sopped it up and ate it. It’s the best thing they serve there, and the appetizer is full portion sized. Oh, and it comes right away, unlike an entrée. Here’s where you put your biscuits to work… make sure they give you plenty of napkins… DIP your biscuits in the butter garlic sauce! To eat the mussels, don’t use that stupid little fork they give you. Simply dig the mussel loose from it’s once-comfy home with your fingernail but DON’T take it out of the shell. Pull the half of the shell that wasn’t holding the mussel in, and set it aside, then use the shell as a spoon to scoop up MORE of the golden goodness. Toss aside like a spent shell casing and repeat. We enjoyed our meal, and our waiter was awesome. He brought beer when we needed it, and took away the plates at just the right time, as we were leaning back in the booth, which is the universal sign for«Take this plate from the table before it ruins my after-experience with the smell.» I tipped accordingly. We will be back.

To the tune of «My Favorite Things» Lobster and crab legs, shrimp scampi and scallops, warm cheddar biscuits and cheese on my salad. Plenty of refills of soda to drink, these are a few of my favorite things. When I’m hungry, when I’m tired, when I’m feeling sad, I just remember Red Lobster for lunch –and now I feel so glad!

What’s up, fellow Unilocalers? It’s been a long time since I have written a review. But I felt inspired, so here goes… First off, this review has nothing to do with food. My mother asked me yesterday if she could take my wife and I out to dinner at Red Lobster as it was our 5 year anniversary. Of course we agreed, and stopped in just after lunch service. Our server was a super nice girl named Marissa. She was very friendly, professional, and attentive. Kept our glasses full, checked on us more than once, always had a big smile. She even offered to take our picture. She earned every bit of the $ 20 tip. I would have left her more, but I didn’t want the wife to start asking questions… lol. Seriously though, Marissa was the best server I have had in a long time and she made our anniversary just that much better. You guys should make her a manager.

Ok we’re do I begin. we arrived great parking the highlight of the night pure luck. We went in they said we were the next table 45 min. Later we went up to ask they said they already called us so untrue we were sitting right next to the hostess desk the whole time. We got are silver wear forks and knives bent and dirty? She brought are ayes for bread filthy dirty at this point we were suspicious we marked the bottom of the plates and complained the waitress apologized and said she would get us new ones she arrived back and said she watched them clean the dishes but what she didn’t know was that we marked the bottom of the plates with a marker they all came back what a liar. The food was bland my wife didn’t eat here’s they didn’t charge us for her dish thanks but we will never return

Came in early immediately after picking up the kids. I had asked my 4 year old where she wanted to go for her last day of being 4. She said«I want Red Lobster» So here we are now! The biscuits are just as good as always! My drink was beginning to run low and the waitress passed by and asked what I was drinking and dropped it off very immediately. Our server is friendly and patient with my 3 kids. My youngest told her it was her birthday. So she got an ice cream complimentary. Service was 5 stars! Serena is an excellent server, checking in on us several times throughout our meal asking if everything was to our liking or not, promptly brought out the check. It seems the management staff also help serve as well, checking if we needed anything and helped to bring out the crackers for our crab legs so Serena didn’t have to go back to the kitchen. It’s nice to see a real team effort, and not the mentality of people saying, «I’ll get your server for you!» Drink refill requests for the kids and ketchup requests were refilled with a smile. This crew was awesome! They sang happy birthday to 4 patrons including my birthday girl! The food quality is up to par 3 stars… they serve seafood, so order the seafood. I’ve been here plenty of times. For Modesto, it’s the best seafood you can get. It’s not a Joes Crab Shack, but it’s not bad. I’ve been here and had some overcooked food, sent it back, server had returned promptly with freshly cooked crab legs and they were phenomenal! Food is hit and miss between awesome and okay, which is the reason for the 3 stars.

Echoing Tiffany N.‘s sentiment, the 2 for $ 25 Deal was well worth it. The kids had the Stuffed Mushrooms plus the Seafood Lover’s Linguini and the Honey-Garlic Crispy Shrimp. They were both delighted with their meals. We also ordered a 4-Course Feast with Shrimp Linguini Marinara, Clam Chowder, Garden Salad, and the Brownie a la Mode. Plenty of good food to share; all my wife needed was an extra plate. =)
