Great location. I love their beef sandwich called Modesto beat and snicker espresso. My babe got the Californian sandwich which she loved with mocha frappuccino. Great place to hang out. Good parking spot. They are very friendly can’t wait to head back and take some family with me. Want to try more of their menu.

The sandwiches look homemade so you don’t think much of them till you try them. Very delicious, awesome cookie that comes a long with it, with your choice of chips or a salad. They have soups but I haven’t tried them. It’s just a very comfortable and welcoming little area. A bit pricey but i believe it’s worth it. I recommend it!

This was a friendly, welcoming place. Warm with comfy seats. The best part is definitely having grandma make you a coffee or sandwich. Well priced items. Cookies look really yummy. Positive — there is a bathroom. The only drawback — No WIFI

I’ve been going here for 20 years. Family-owned and operated, these folks go out of their way to give you great service and great food. Their tuna and egg salad is delicious, great salads, and the best hot chocolate in town, in my opinion. You can do a nice lunch for well under $ 10. I often pop by for a breakfast sandwich, scone or muffin. And when they added ice cream to their menu!!! Mocha Magic’s longevity in the face of several recessions is, in my opinion, a testament to the quality of food and beverages they offer. This is truly a great coffee shop — which offers so much more.

Cute little place with some sweet women behind the counter. I just had a turkey sandwich chips and a drink almost 10 bucks. It comes with a cookie so I guess it’s worth it… I did not try the coffee or the ice cream. If I worked nearby I would probably stop in again.

3.5 stars for the store and coffee, bonus star for the staff, rounded up. SUPER nice owner in an easily missable storefront downtown; grab a cuppa on your way to the farmer’s market! I wouldn’t hesitate to stop back through here.

The service here is what sets this place apart from your typical sandwich/coffee shop. It’s family owned with Grandma and daughter running the show. They’re always friendly and personable with smiles on their faces. Food is of very good quality, I’d give it a 4. I gave them a 5 overall because they are so hospitable. They’ll make the sandwiches any way you’d like and there are several options for sides. I enjoy the soups and home made salads. Lunch comes with a cookie as well but they often run out on busy days. They have their loyal regular customers but I fear that customer base may not keep this establishment alive. Do yourself a favor and stop in, say hi, grab a cup of joe and maybe even a sandwich. You’ll be glad you did and you’ll be supporting a hard working dedicated family.

I don’t understand the bad reviews for this place. We thought it was great. Fresh food and excellent customer service. What more could you ask for? We tried the 16th street special, the chicken and veggies soup, and a fresh brewed ice tea. Everything was fresh and tasted great. My only suggestion would be to have wraps available as a sandwich option. But the croissant was a nice alternative to bread. Fresh and not greasy. My friend loved the ice tea, which he is very picky about. We sampled the egg salad and macaroni salad. Both were plain, simple and tasted great just the way we like them! It’s a family owned business, with a grandmother, mother and son. They were all very friendly and easy to talk to.

I really like this place for their people, they’re always sweet but their blended coffee leaves much to be desired. I can’t fault them too much being a local business but they may need to take a look at their coffee supplier or change up the formula a bit. Other than that, no other beef with them. I’ll be back when I am in the area again.

I guess it’s about time I update this review. Mocha Magic still has the best cappuccino in town and I don’t care what anyone else thinks or says about it. I have been here several times and have never had a bad cup of cap yet. Just wish I could have the chocolate sprinkles on it. Oh well.

I’d try this place again. Our barista was covering for the regular lady. She admitted she didn’t know how to make several of the drinks… but she did a terrific job on my blended mocha anyhow!
