Five Star Burger

Love, love, love, this place. We eat here often. The burgers are delicious. I see that people have reviewed the bacon and service time. I would say that if your not willing to wait for your food to be cooked then go to McDonalds and eat the nasty chemically enhanced food. I waited in the drive through for about 8 minutes with two cars I front of me, not too bad. I eat the bacon every time I eat here. The number 9, I’m a fat girl! Haha not really but I love the burgers here. My boyfriend and I are moving and the only thing we will miss from this town is this place!

Best burger we’ve had in a long time! I had the avocado burger. Everything on it, lettuce, tomato, avocado etc was fresh. Nothing layover under hot lights here. I love the zucchini sticks too. Lots of flavor and it comes with ranch dipping sauce. BF had a bacon (real bacon) cheese burger and had it special ordered cause he’s real picky about what he puts on his burger. They were happy to accommodate and it came out perfect. Friendly staff and looks like they have a lot of repeat customers as they knew a lot of them coming in by name which says a lot. I think we have found our new favorite burger place. They serve breakfast too but haven’t tried that yet. Prices were very reasonable, and food was tasty! Not in the best of neighborhoods but well worth the trip. Easily overlooked! We’ll be going back for sure. They do have a drive thru.

Don’t eat the bacon I wouldn’t feed there bacon to my dogs. It is definitely a mystery meat the meat is subpar too. The prices are cheap here but you get what you pay for kaka.

I ordered the double double bacon with regular fries. The crinkle cut fries were fantastic. The burger– presentation, size and fresh produce were on point. Bacon was a little chewy. The problem I have had lately when trying new burger joints is seasoning. Why aren’t they seasoning the meat more? I want flavor! This burger was decent, but could have been a lot better with more seasoning! Maybe I just have discerning tastes. It’s worth a try.

Great burgers for great prices! Wish I lived in the area to able to actually sit inside or out front.

By far. THE WORST” burger I have had in years. The girl at the counter and the cook don’t know what size patties or on the burgers. The fries are soft and soggy.

The food is ok but you will lose your appetite real quick with all the smelly ass scumbags they let hang out there… Last time I was there a bum literally shit his pants and was just walking around like it was no big deal and not one person said anything they just continued to let him hang out and beg customers for change

Great drunk food, comparable to Burger King or Carl’s Jr but better prices. I gave them an extra star for variety, they have everything from hot dogs to cheese sticks and even deep fried pickles.

I’m a burger person, so trying out this place for first time.
Very, very good.
Good prices, very good taste, good portion, many choices.
I will be back.
Toasted buns give it a great taste, I had the single and the meat was a good size. It’s worth it.

Definately not a 5 star burger… Very far off. Food all seemed like fozen stuff bought from cosco. Burger patty was thin and spoungy like mcdonalds patties. Food was still good but not worthy of the name. And for $ 10 – 12 a person id rather eat at sonic, red robins or rockin b burgers. Jmo.

Five star for a 5 star place! Took my boys here and they all loved it. People r so nice there. I love it! Im not a hamburger kinda girl but I decided to try it out it was delicious! We try to go once every month.

Stopped by here initially as a joke. A burger place in the ghetto that was very obviously a taco shop previously seemed too good to pass up. So I waddled in the drive thru expecting food poisoning and regret. Once I saw the menu I was even more excited.
They have a frankly ridiculous amount of combos. Anything fried, grilled, or soft serve related was there. I randomly chose a combo 1 with a dr pepper. The drive thru lady warned me it had 3 patties which was adorable. I know what I am getting into girl pls. After a pretty long wait for a drive thru (8 or so mins) I parked and inspected.
The fries are crinkle cut standard goodness. Seasoned well, but nothing exceptional. Dr pepper was indeed the soda described so good start. Lastly, we reach the burger. Mother of god, this thing was huge. When I heard three patties, I expected some weak baby patties but these kids were grown up for sure. The onion, lettuce, and tomato were all on point. The bun was standard fair with a solid thousand islandish sauce. The patties were seasoned perfectly.
To be frank, my body began moving on it’s own. The burger I expected to ruin my day rocked my world and left me lusting for more. By far the best fast food burger I have had in recent memory. My only real complaint is the slow service and small drinks. I need way more sugar water to decimate a strong burger like that. Five star burger is indeed 5 stars all day when it comes to that burger game.

The owner and the staff are very nice. The food taste real good and the prices are excellent. I’d much rather eat here any day over some gmo process food from a fast food place. It’s about time Modesto had a great burger joint!

The people was friendly the store was clean but my chicken strips wasn’t fully cooked 2 were still raw my fries were hot and good but my strips weren’t. I would never go back

Philly Cheesesteaks are awesome. I’d drive from much further just for those. The building itself is a 5 out of 10, but the food more than makes up the difference.

They suck !! Went there order bacon burger No bacon on it extra $ 2 if I want onion ring instead of fries… What rip off man … This place should be called –5 star … Save ur money go to jack ni Box way better!!! Even am pm burger is even better then this

Too bad the owners are a-​holes and heartless. I hate giving bad reviews, and their food is so good but the owners are so heartless and ruthless. This is the second time I’ve been here because it came highly recommended. Food is awesome but what I saw the owners do to an old man, was horrible.
An old man walked in to ask if they knew if there was one more bus stop coming. And there wasn’t because it was passed 8pm. He asked if they would call a taxi and he said he wasn’t and escorted him out. And only because he looked different as in «homeless» but apparently he wasn’t.He was just trying to get home. Shame on the owners. They need JESUS, but then again, I don’t think they believe in Jesus.

Tried this place over the weekend, and it was pretty good. On the plus side, the burger was huge, and the prices are cheap. On the other hand, the burger patties are obviously previously frozen, and the fries are the same exact frozen fries I buy and cook at home.
This place is good if you’re hungry and want to fill up for cheap. Five Star Burgers is on par with most fast foods, so if you’re happy with fast food quality, you’ll be happy here.

I thought we’d try this place but the signs for the business stopped me cold.
«Drive Thru Dinning» is very interesting. The correct spelling of the word is «Dining» — and if the sign company and brochure (ad) printers made these errors, this business’ owners should have been smart enough to catch the error. But the error was the ultimate responsibility of the owner and — at first blush — this concerned me.
Makes me wonder about the literacy of the business owner: food preparation requires strict attention to detail and very strict compliance with state health and food safety regulations. The business sign’s misspelled word warned me off.

Slow, dirty, confused and not tasty. That’s the best way to describe my experience here at 5 Star Burger. My burger was under seasoned and over cooked. Onion rings were mushy and NO seasoning what so ever. My diet Dr pepper was flat. I had ordered my burger with pepper jack and it came with some unmelted orangish processed cheese.
Hummus, breakfast burritos, wraps and fried chicken dinners? Fried fish and a dollar menu? Smoothies and banana splits? I’m confused…
Here’s a tip for the owner, pick one thing, do it better then anyone and the customers will line up. Stick with your current concept and I’ll be shocked if your still around by Labor Day.
