Delicious food! Pulled pork was the best I have had!!! Terrance is so friendly and the atmosphere is great… feels like you are eating a home cooked meal!

Great place to get soups and sandwiches. Great owners call before if you want get freshly baked cookies. Owner baked cookies to order. My fave is chocolate chip and the toffee coconut.

I do not often give five stars, but this place is awesome! I had the Philly steak and WOW it was phenomenal. The steak was tender, and delicious. I am not normally a fan of slaw, but after reading some reviews I figured I would give it a shot. I had the chipotle and it was great, not too much heat but a little kick. Service was great and the price is more than reasonable. This guy should open a gourmet restaurant for dinner. A little difficult to find as it is in a group of offices and is in the corner (s/​w corner of the building). I will be back again!

Was in the area and tried this place. Very clean and spacious. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was amazing! The perfect amount of pork and bread with a little bit of chipotle flavor. My husband had the chicken BLT and said it was good… clean, lite and not greasy. Their freshly baked chips were so much better than the cole slaw I ordered. Service was great! Probably not as fast as other cafes but not long either. Food was fresh so that’s all that matters to me. I’m giving it a four star because of their location. It’s a little hard to find but I would totally eat here again.

Went here with a friend of mine. Love the Chipotle Coleslaw salad. Will be back to try the Curry Shrimp, looked good.

The food here is fantastic! Don’t let the location fool you, this place is worth coming to! I had the Crave Burger with a side of Chipotle Coleslaw. The multitude of flavors are a great reflection of the food experience the owner/​chef wants you to have.
My wife had the Curry Shrimp and Rice. It was equally wonderful! I can see us coming back when we’re back in Modesto.

Love this little place, chef Terence does an outstanding job making everything fresh. It’s definitely a hidden little treasure.

Our office frequently gets lunch here as we’re only a short walk away. The quality and taste of the food is definitely beyond a normal sandwich shop. For a simple menu, the food has so much flavor and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. I especially love the fresh cooked potato chips that come with the sandwiches. Another plus is the price, which is reasonable for what you get, especially since no one wants to spend a lot on lunch. We will definitely continue to order take out lunches from here!

I don’t have anything particularly bad to say about this place (other than how difficult it is to find!), but I also don’t have much positive to say. Food wasn’t bad, just OK. Wait time was pretty long, especially considering there was only one person ahead of us in the restaurant. Service was friendly enough. Serving sizes were a little small, especially the side-​dishes.
I wouldn’t avoid this place, but I’m in no hurry to come back.

It takes some work to find this place but, once you have a taste of this food you will be hooked. The address for the building was hidden behind the landscape. Parking is behind the building. Trust me it’s in there!
I had the Motown Philly and the Wasabi Coleslaw. My husband had the Crave burger and the hot chips. This was my first taste of a wasabi dish and I learned that I don’t think I like wasabi! The Motown Philly on the other hand was one of the best things I have ever tasted. Just the perfect amount of blue cheese. The greens where so fresh and crunchy. The crave burger looked really good too. The burger patty was so juice there was a puddle on the paper tray. He ran out of bun before he ate all the hamburger patty. I couldn’t believe they actually make the potato chips here. They are still worm when they come to your table. So good. I will be craving those soon I’m sure. Can’t wait to come back and try the soups.

The food is delicious — well-​prepared, flavorful, exquisite. Prices are reasonable. What hurt it for me ultimately was the portions. The lunch seemed underwhelming in this department. I was hungry sometime later. I think the food is great (just wish it was more substantial) and I hope they do well but it wasn’t for me.

Always great food. Love the Motown philly, crave burger and piled high pork. Wasabi cole slaw is pretty dang good also. It’s awesome how the chef will bake fresh cookies, try the toffee pecan if they have it. Also the lemon cake pops are pretty good. Location seems a little odd but it’s worth finding. Limited hours but perfect for lunch.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere every single time. You wouldn’t think that such a small and what can be an even hard place to find could be so yummy! It’s really a great place to grab lunch and good quality food. What keeps me coming back is the great care that the food is made with! Always leaving plenty satisfied.

Have been here twice now in two days and can’t believe how great the crave café is. Between my own food and sampling from friends, everything is fantastic. The service is friendly and so welcoming. I will be back over and over again. I hope it thrives!!! If you haven’t been here, you should give this gem a shot. You will NOT be disappointed!!!

Excellent! We went today and I had the potato crusted tilapia with wasabi cole slaw. I am so happy this is on your menu! Absolutely dee-​lish! The chef definitely knows what he’s doing. Attentive, personable service as usual. A real treasure here in Modesto. We love this place!

The perfect name for a perfect restaurant. They truly care which is so rare. The owner is a true chef. A bit tucked away so you have to hunt for it but it is worth it. Best sandwiches and soup in modesto bar none. Wow

Love Crave Café — sandwiches are the best — but don’t leave without ordering a fresh cookie! Peanut butter butterscotch is the best.

What a nice change of flavors in food. Keeps you craving just like the name of the place.
Chef Terrance has created some amazing food, well worth the visit it keeps me coming back week after week.

I have NEVER had a burger that tasted as good as the Crave Burger. I had it with the works and in the first bite a phenomenal burst of flavor filled my mouth. Hands down the absolute best burger I have ever eaten.
The fresh baked chips are great! The amount of seasoning on the chips gives a non overpowering flavor. Taking some to go for later is highly recomended.
Followed it all with a toffee butterscotch cookie that was made and baked after I ordered it. Definitely not the kind that sits on a shelf and is zapped in a toaster, this came fresh out the oven! The cookie came apart as I picked it up (which I personally love). For those who don’t like their cookies so fresh, they could let it sit for a time and cool.
This has changed my route for my travels and will make this a stop on my way to and from nor cal to so cal.
