Rice Asian Grill & Sushi Bar

It was delicious. We needed a local restaurant where we could enjoy a good meal, and Rice delivered. Next time we are in Mobile, we will be back in here.

Freaking awesome I’ve never had Thai food so was worried about the spicyness. No problem thou! Had the fire cracker appetizer which is japenos with cream cheese and crab meat tempura awesome just don’t dip them in the sauce if you don’t want them hot! But there great with out the sauce. I order the chicken middle bowl which was great and my husband got phat Thai woonsonme both were great

Went here last night with my boyfriend for the first time. I got the Prik Poe shrimp and it was great! For sure plan on going back.

My husband, 2 kids, and I went here after seeing a movie in Mobile. I loved how the menu had pictures so that I knew what I would be eating. I had a pad tai that was wonderful, my son had some yummy fried rice, and my husband had a spicy chicken dish that was delicious. We got lunch portions which were just the right size. And it came with won tons or spring toll and soup or salad. My daughter had done sashimi which was good also. They have a yummy dessert that is fried bananas (with a wonton paper coating) and ice cream and whipped topping.

Absolutely worth the trip! Stopped here after car shopping in mobile. The service was fast, and the food was amazing and HOT! We had the spring rolls and satay chicken as appetizers, I had the pad broccoli with chicken and the chicken lo mein. Best I’ve ever had!

BEST ASAIN FOOD IN MOBILE! If you have not been here please go. From the sushi to the entrees to the service… I love all of it. Our new favorite place. I hate we just found it. Can’t wait to eat here again. You can even customize how spicy you like some of the dishes. Win. Win!

The only reason this place didn’t get 5 stars is because of the service. We waited like 10 minutes before anyone even came to ask if we were ready to order. The reason I still gave them 4 stars is because the food was delicious. Like really good! Plus the portions were huge! I ordered Prik Pao chicken and it came with a side of white rice. I also ordered pineapple fried rice (combination) and it was so yummy! I paid close to $ 22 for it all. My co-​worker ordered the lo mein and spring rolls, the spring roll she gave me was also yummy. While waiting for the food they served us a small salad and soup which I’m not sure what either was but it was also tasty. I am only visiting AL for work and leave Friday or i would definitely order take out from there again.

Sushi was rather average compared to other restaurants in town. We got the Lion Roll, Tempura Spicy Tuna Roll, Volcano Roll, and what was suppose to be the Sunshine Roll (I’m not sure it they got it mixed up, but we got a Regular California Roll instead). Tempura Spicy Tuna Roll was the only thing that was half way good. Everything else I could’ve gotten from Publix and it tasted the same. The Volcano Roll was extremely sloppy. Besides them screwing up our order, the food was not worth the price. Would not recommend.

My boyfriend and I are happily addicted to Rice. I live right down the road from it so it’s very convenient. We were recommended by the owner to get Prik Pao. For about a year now, we get Prik Pao religiously. We order it with 4 stars, sweet and sour sauce, and extra Prik Pao sauce. We also order wontons for an appetizer and they are absolutely amazing! The complementary soup and salad is very good as well. Not only is their food the best Asian food around, they also have great customer service. We don’t even have to be handed a menu. They treat us so well! We eat here about 3 – 4 times a week because it’s just that good. We recommend this place before any Asian around! #RiceforLife

This place was fantastic! The service was exceptional and we will return soon! We each tried to get something different and can’t wait to go back to try more!

I have been to this place twice. Once during lunch and once at dinner time. I was satisfied with their food both times. The owners are a young couple that’s very nice.
First time was during lunch time, and they have a really good deal for lunch. Every lunch meals also come with Tom Ka soup and crab wonton or spring rolls which was a nice little appetizer before the meal. I ordered the chicken pad thai, and it was pretty good.
Second time, I came with a friend for dinner. I had ordered the green curry and he ordered yellow curry which both super duper good. I actually wanted to come back the next day to get more.
Overall, I had a nice experience both times, and their menu has pictures which allows you have an easier selection. I will be back.

Great food, no matter what i have ordered, Thai, Chinese or Sushi. Staff is very eager to please and friendly. Lunch specials start at about 8 bucks and include freshly fried spring rolls and soup of your choice. Can’t beat it!

Still fantastic! I’ve been back a few times now and I’ve found that my favorite menu item is the prik pao with tom kha (we share a bowl as a family), but honestly, everything I’ve tried has been good. For lunch, I’ll often get just the soup and summer rolls, but they have lunch combos that are less expensive than dinner. I’ll get those sometimes too. I noticed that even the news teams are eating there now. Saw some in there today from channel 15! :D

There are little places that I can call great for sushi. This is one of them. Not just because the sushi is greats, though — because almost everything (which is a whole lot) we had off the menu was incredible. Fresh ingredients, genuine craftsmanship, and beautiful arrangement. This place accepts no substitutes! From the first bite of the Tom Kah Soup I could tell it was a genuine Asian dish. Perfectly balanced.
We had the Edamame, which was fresh and snapped like it came right off the bean vine. We had the Tom Kah, which felt like it came shipped overnight from Thailand. We had the Volcano and Jersey roll. Just incredible.
Would recommend to anyone who loves Asian Cuisine and original dishes.

Rice has become my favorite place for sushi, Thai fried rice and other Asian specialties. These guys know how to cook and they use good quality ingredients. Their sushi is very fresh and the soups are excellent; rice and noodle dishes are freshly made and the egg rolls are the best I have ever had in Mobile.
I have eaten in and have done a take out several times, and I have always been happy with every single meal.
I know there are a couple new Thai/​Asian restaurants in Mobile that are getting very good ratings on Unilocal and Urbanspoon. I do not eat out much anymore, not in Mobile, so the few meals I chose beside my own cooking have to be fresh and delicious and Rice fills that gap perfectly, I do not even feel like taking a risk and going elsewhere. So those new places may thrive, but Rice is my go to place and I do not have to be concerned ordering tuna tataki or salmon sashimi.

This is a perfect lunch restaurant. They have a good selection of specials, and the menu has something for almost everyone. Thai, Vietnamese, and, of course, Sushi.
I’ve never had a bad meal here, and the service is always excellent.
The Tom Kha Gai soup at Rice is my current favorite. I love this soup, and make an effort to try it at every Thai restaurant I visit. Rice’s version has the perfect balance of lime, coconut milk, and lemongrass. I could eat it every day!
The Tom Yum Gai is pretty good too, and I’d say that Rice’s version is also at the top of my list. These people know how to make soup!
Mobile has a terrible selection of sushi, but I’ve found Rice’s sushi to be very good, and they have a broad selection of traditional, and specialty rolls.
When I’m not gulping down gallons of soup, or eating sushi, I’m usually trying a new (to me) dish from the menu. I’ve never been disappointed. The food is good, portions generous, prices reasonable, and it arrives at the table hot.

This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I always get the pik pow chicken with extra sauce, the pineapple fried rice, shrimp rolls, and spicy crawfish roll. I could eat these dishes for the rest of my life, it is so good! This place does NOT disappoint! Wait staff is so sweet. We’ve been there so many times the chef knows us by what we order! Love! Love! Love!

This is probably my favorite restaurant in Mobile. The food, service, and prices are all excellent. They’ve got a great selection of rolls. Their sushi isn’t the best I’ve ever had, but very good nonetheless. I’d punch a nun for a bowl of their red shrimp curry right now. The young lady who always serves us, Pepsi (that’s actually her name), is so polite. I eat here with my girlfriend at least twice a month and we’ve never had a bad experience.
Best stuff on the menu: chicken satay, Atlantic roll, and red curry.
Update: I would recommend NOT ordered the Drunk Man’s Noodle with extra spice. I enjoy spicy food, but I was sweating by the time I finished mine. :-P

This place was previously owned by Purple Café (Mediterranean/​hookah bar).
I really like this new restaurant better. They redesign the restaurant and it looks so much open, fresh and clean. They also have the mini sushi bar area.
First, I love their service. The waiters are very friendly and polite. They also constantly check on our table to make sure everything is ok.
Second, the price isn’t that expensive and yet the food taste delicious. And the size that they give (the size of their drinks and food) are bigger compare to other restaurants.
I would love to come back and eat here again and this place definitely worth the try.
