Cool bar to hang out downtown. They have a good variety of bottled beers. Sometimes, they’ll have free food for people.

Loud, drunk and rowdy can be good times. I like the charms of dive bars when in the mood. But Hayley’s smells disgusting… of what I assume is a combination of cigarette smoke, alcohol, and probably vomit. They have multiple filthy garbage bins lined up outside next to them, and the sidewalk looks nasty with some dirty water puddles/leak from the garbage bins. My foot probably would have rotted and fallen off if I made a mistake of stepping into the filthy water.

Dive bar heaven, cheap drinks, cold beer, pool table, very comfortable, friendly peeps, unlike one reviewer, who just should hang out at Applebee’s, no food but crawfish on Thursday woot. I only wonder one thing, it seemed like most of the men 99% had beards,? Is this grizzly Adams hangout? Chicas lots of them. So drag your butt out get your drink on.

They have the little computer bar games here. Like the one where you have to spot the difference between two side-by-side pictures of naked ladies. Or the one where you make a topless lady walk a straight line even though she’s drunk. Or the one where you play Minesweeper over a picture of a naked dude. My friends liked that one. This place was pretty empty when we came. It was a Monday night. Hayley wasn’t anywhere to be found. I was hoping to meet her. Shucks.

Most dive bars have a certain charm, a casual appeal, a unpretentious relaxing vibe. Not this sh thole in the wall. There’s three bartenders behind the bar. One’s doing inventory. One is checking the cash register. One has his head up his a s. I’m calling for a beer and even make eye contact with the woman at the cash register. If you got a brain, you tell the bartender actually working, «Hey, you got a customer.» Nothing. It’s like the light’s on but nobody is home. Deer caught in the headlights. Then there’s these goofballs playing pool, and it’s right by the door, so it’s like they own the place. Here’s a tip, put your pool table in back or to the side. In front, it blocks customers from entering. Yes, this is nice little quaint sh thole.

Hayley’s is downtown Mobile. If you go to one bar in Mobile, go to this bar. It is dirty, smokey, often loud, sometimes rowdy, and always a great time. Yes, the men’s room door is broken. Don’t let a small inconvenience like this deter you, it’s part of the charm. Hayley’s can be whatever you need it to: a place to drown your sorrows, a place to celebrate, a place to sing along, a place to meet someone, a place to be alone. The bartenders are friendly, attentive, and generous. There’s a great jukebox. There are crawfish in the Spring. It’s always open when you need a drink, and always the same as you remember(or don’t remember, most likely). As others have said, end your night here. I don’t know about starting it here though. It’s so much fun you might never leave.

I love this little dive bar. I meet my friends there on Friday and Saturday nights and it’s always a good time! It’s a dive bar, but hey, it’s awesome. People are friendly and the drinks are awesome.

Really cool Dive Bar in downtown Mobile. Do not expect any slick, new, shiny atmosphere here… It isthe real deal dive bar. But, the service is friendly, drinks strong and priced well. They are open late.

Came to this dive bar for the first time for a crawfish pubcrawl on Sunday Memorial weekend(haha only in the South)…me and my husband were surprised to see the place buzzing with all types of people, a fun lively atmosphere, good beer, and a live band. Downtown Mobile doesn’t really have many bars as to what I’m used to in San Diego but definitely this bar is fun and clearly a popular local spot. They also gave free shots here and there and even free mini red velvet cupcakes :) I’ll be back again and bring my Cali friends here when they come visit. Quick tip, this is a smoking bar so if you can’t stand smoking. this place is not for you.

Discovered this sweet little spot while in downtown Mobile. This is a tiny corner bar on Dauphin St. It’s a smaller bar, but with a great staff and atmosphere. They have a pool table, tv, and jukebox. The crowd is as diverse as spirits on hand. Walked in and saw an older couple, a group of guys in suits, a handful of young college kids, and everything in between. The crowd was as great as the bar. Everyone was chatting it up and getting along fine. I moseyed in after a long day on the road for a beer. The bartender was great and recommended a local beer from Back Forty Brewing Co. in Gadsden, AL. I had the Naked Pig pale ale and it was one of the best pales I’d ever had. After a couple beers and watching some baseball on tv we started to get hungry. The bartender was very helpful and recommended The OK Bicycle Shop which was amazing! *See review for the Bike Shop* This bar was such a small little dive with great character and I recommend if you’re in downtown Mobile to make this your watering hole for the evening or at least make sure it’s one of your stops. You won’t regret it.
When it comes dives, this place fits the bill — tons of regulars, a diverse crowd and an eclectic playlist. And any joint that serves a PBR in a can is alright with me. I am an out of towner, but a Mobile native and I can tell you that the vibe I get from this place was definitely cool. I will say this, you might want to spend the extra credits to have your songs played next in line, because that Internet jukebox is used heavily. Planning on going home at 2am because your favorite bar shut down like most places around the country? Well, fear not — this place is open until… well… let’s just say I have seen the sun rise over here and still had a beer in my hand.

Open past two? AM? No comprende! ‘Bama, gotta say I don’t understand your laws but I really like them pertaining to how your nightlife runs! This place has a juke that jammed Toadies, Deftones, ice cube and random Scott Pilgrim vs the World soundtrack songs while we were there. Love the diverse crowd here. We were in ball tux and formal attire but there were bikers to the tool types as well. Great people watching! Would love to be back, Mobile… for that next all nighter!

My favorite place to watch Auburn football on Saturday afternoons with free boiled peanuts and the best bartenders. When I gave it 5 stars, I did so because everything is relative. This place is as good as it gets when it comes to hole-in-the-wall dive bars. It’s super cozy, a little dirty, and has a great jukebox.

Cold beer, shots, hot chicks. A Mobile institution and one of the starters of the Dauphin St. Revival. The walls are filled with posters from the dear, departed Vincent Van Go-Go. If you’re male, you’ll need to hold the door to the restroom closed with your right hand and hold yourself with your left. This is a true dive bar: smoky, dark, and loud. The crowd is as diverse as you can imagine.

Open 7 days a week from 3p.m. to 3a.m.(at the earliest) They have been open till Dawn on more than one occasion. The Girls bar-tending are very knowledgeable about Mobile History and Current events. This is where you should start and end your time in Downtown Mobile. The staff will help you find what you need. It is a Private Club so be sure to have your ID ready to fill out a membership, it takes less than 2 minutes. They have daily specials and events. Join Hayley’s on Facebook to get updates!

In Mobile, if you are bar that stays open past 3AM you have to designate yourself as a private club. That means to go in here, you fill out a piece of paper with all your info. No one checks to see if you are putting it all down correctly. I asked the door guy what I got by becoming a member. He said, «You get in.» I asked him, «What do you get?» «Nothing.» I love Alabama. Someone must be making money somewhere, right?
