Greatest B-B-Q

I’ve been eating here since I was a kid. Every time I come, it’s like eating at your auntie’s house. The food is barbecue, but you can put it in the category of comfort food as well. I like to get port links, potato salad, beans and rice, a piece of cake, and a Welch’s grape soda. You can eat here or take it to go and you can call your order in early. While you’re waiting, you can watch TV almost like you were sitting in your living room. They have been around for years and support the community and other small businesses. I always appreciate that.

This rib shack was recommended to me by a family member. The ribs were sub par, but the customer service was even worse. Bad attitude and unfriendly. The potato salad was stiff and old. I am not a fan of bad customer service AND bad food! This is NOT the greatest BBQ.

The customer service was bad food had no taste but the strawberry cake was good. Not the greatest bbq will not be going back.

Pretty damn good brisket n ribs. Amazing sides though I had the potato salad and Mac n cheese. Their rice n beans are also very flavorful Would go here again.

Nothing here was great. Will not be going back. Hard to find a good BBQ place to go to in Houston. Got rib tip plates for $ 11…total came out to be $ 14.50. Ribs were fatty, Mac and cheese tastes funny. Will not be going back

I used to love the BBQ here despite the unfriendly attitudes of the staff. Before today, I had been turned off by their attitudes and an order they slightly got wrong so I haven’t been to Greatest BBQ in over a year. But since I was passing the area on my way from church today, I decided to give it another shot. I quickly saw that nothing has changed.
In her natural fashion, the owner didn’t speak when I entered (from my observation, she only speaks if she knows you and/​or you’re a regular). The young lady who was taking orders was not behind the counter, but sitting at one of the eating tables taking orders (totally unprofessional).
I ordered one pork rib plate, one beef rib plate, and two extra sides. I waited over 30 mins for my food. During that time, two people who came in after me got their food before I did. When I finally did get my food, I was so relieved and ready to get out of the place I neglected to check it. Got home and was missing both side items, my beef ribs were pork ribs. Asked for a Sprite; got a Coke. The ribs did not taste smoked at all; they tasted baked. The greens were canned greens that they tried to spruce up with bacon. All this after spending $ 30.
The folks at Greatest BBQ have proven themselves unprofessional, unfocused, and unconcerned about their customers too many times for me. But this time was the final straw.
I shall NEVER return again. Their service is unacceptable. The saddest part is that I think they know it. They just don’t care.

My old barbers mom actually owns the place, the ribs were OK not the best thing I ever had and not really the worst but the Mac and cheese has like barbaque sauce in I swear eaten there at least 5 times and every time I taste BBQ sauce in my Mac and cheese.

This place is named «The Worlds Greatest BBQ»… but only on opposite day is it named properly. This restaurant is next door to my barber shop so I stopped in and the lady looked at me like I’d just walked into her house, basically the customer service and appreciation was minimal to nonexistent. I ordered one plate and the few sides I asked for they didn’t have. So I get the food in coincidently perfect microwave time. a rib plate and some sausage was $ 20. I ordered green beans and greens for my sides and neither of them we’re even edible. The vegetables we’re ultra nasty. By the way non of the food could’ve possibly been made on the day of. I’m 90% sure the food here is COOKED maybe 3 – 4 days out of the week, and any other time you get reheated out the fridge full priced bbq, oh the nerve! The ribs were nothing special. The food literally made me throw up… yes I threw up all of that shit. I believe strongly that the food was contaminated with bacteria. Long story short this place ripped me off. The experience was so terrible I had to write this Unilocal review. I was charged for a premium bbq dinner and I received… uumm food poison… essentially, but I tossed both of my sides in the garbage. This place is a huge no go for sure. I don’t see how anyone could win here. There is no passion for cooking or owning a business.

When I saw this booth at the Colorado County Music festival I was instantly sold. The meat looked amazing, and the sausage tasted great. However, horrible customer service can ruin an entire dining experience. When I opened my pork chop sandwich and noticed a hair, I took it back, expecting to be refunded or given a new sandwich. Instead, I was told that all the workers had hats, so it must be mine. As someone who works in food service, i know that this treatment is completely unacceptable. This place could have easily gotten more stars, but due to this, I left dissatisfied, and disappointed.

Ordered rib tips and some pork ribs. One bite and I get the impression that this meat is old, as if it was cooked days ago, and then reheated. Prices aren’t cheaper than any other typical bbq joint. The food wasn’t worth the price I paid. Will not return.

This family owned establishment is very comfortable and casual with great down home cooking.

Ok the name dose not match the food here at all. This was the third time I have tried this place and each time was the same the people that work here must not need new business. the person behind the counter was rude each time I mean very Unhappy to help me like she is doing me a favor to take my order. But I have let it go because it’s close to the house and I really was hoping to find a good bbq place. But the food each time has not even came close to what i can grill in the backyard and I’m no pit master at all. This will be my last time coming here so back to the hunt for a bbq spot.

The customer service was bad. The person was an older woman so it was a surprise that she had no manners. No greeting just an ‘are you ready to order?’ in a bad tone. No acknowledgement of the order, just turned around to prep it. She seemed in a good mood to other customers that she obviously knew. The change in attitude was abrupt and obvious. After a 20 minute wait, my to go order was practically thrown in the bag. Got a cold thank you and just moved on to the next customer and was just as rude. Obviously, she didn’t know him either. The brisket was not fresh and microwaved. The only good thing on my baked potato order was the sauce. Plus, although the menu priced the spud at $ 8.50, the bill was $ 10.20. DO NOT recommend. WILL NOT return.

In the area happened to come by the Greatest BBQ and it’s a small place in the middle of a shopping center, it’s 9 at night and I read a review and decided we would go in I got the ribs and brisket and it was awsome. I would say if your in the area and stop in and get some great food. You won’t regret it.

Went here for a true Beaumont styled link and it wasn’t that bad but what messed it up was the fact that the link was obviously microwaved to heat it up. Anyone true link man knows you can’t do that. Bought two, ate one and trashed the other. The link was roughly 200 degrees when I broke into it and you don’t get that high of a temp from fresh links but from microwaved links… So The Hunt Continues.

Bbq is the best in Missouri City!!! The homemade lemon cake melts in your mouth!!! I’ve been a fan since I was a child, grown with children of my own we love it even more!!!

Very good potato salad. The best I’ve ever had away from home. Good brisket and sausage. And good desserts like strawberry cake. They’ve been in business for awhile.
