Very disappointed in the service. I guess if you are Hispanic it’s ok because all their waitresses were very good attending to their customers. It took about 10 minutes from the time we have our drink order until we got it. The older gentleman who waited on us could not understand much English and he couldn’t even get our drink correct even after 2 attempts. I am allergic to lemons and limes and the first drink was lemon water then the next was water with a lime on it. He never refilled our glasses brought our fajita meat out with tortillas then about 5 minutes later finally brought the grilled veggies. He did get my husband another bowl of delicious beans. For the price you pay you should at least get good service. We will not go back

This was probably the best Mexican food I got on my last trip to McAllen/Mission which isn’t saying a lot because it wasn’t great. It was pretty good though. I ordered three beef soft tacos with rice and beans. Holy oil batman! The beef was good, a little salty albeit, but man oh man was it an oily mess. It did give it some flavor though. The tortillas were a little thick for my taste, but good as well. The beans and rice were actually really good and because there wasn’t as much salt there, went perfectly with the tacos. I’d definitely give this place another try.

Where do I begin? The area is clean. The environment was nice. The waiter told me there would be no pork in my beans, then brought beans with pork anyways. Then, when I told him about it, he tried to bring refried beans, but he brought them with pork in it again. Another problem I had with this establishment was that I ordered tacos reynosa which states that it has 5 small fajita tacos, but the waiter only brought three, which happens to be an entirely different order. I did give this place another star due to the waiter being attentive. Overall, its a nice place but I wouldn’t come back again unless I really had to.

Let start with the good The Food: The Fajita, tripitas and mollejas parillada(look it up your self) are AWESOME! cooked and seasoned to perfection. Michelada was tall cold and tasty your choice of beer I had my favorite a Victoria beer. The wife had a hand made real Lemonade and the brat a Dr Pepper. THEBAD: At least this time very disorganized, I can say two big parties of people/family showed up(no reservations) and kinda messed it up fot the rest of us, long wait, no baby seats as the big partieshad used them up, the waiters seemed overwelmed and were forgetting things, but the food really made up for it, reminded me of El Ranchito in Dallas/The Cliff, Texas… Lol.

We went there with no prior notice with a party of eight. We were seated right away and our waiter was very attentive. He took drink orders and served them quickly and efficiently. He answered our many questions about the various dishes with kindness and patience. The chips and salsa were replenished quickly and without our asking. Our meals arrived in a timely manner and were hot and oh so good. Those of us who had fajitas all exclaimed about the tasty and flavorful meat. The portions were generous. No one at our table of eight had a complaint about anything we were served. Our waiter was attentive but not«in our face». Dishes were removed promptly. This group goes out together every other week to a different restaurant. This is one we’ll go to again, no doubt. The restaurant was decorated for the Christmas holidays so I noticed them more than the general décor. I did not visit the restroom. Parking was adequate.

My first time in McAllen, Tx, and after a long day of flying, I needed to eat a meal. I decided on something Hispanic, so I was thinking TACOS! Either I was famished or the beef fajita tacos were really good(recommended by the gentleman at the cashier’s counter). Served with guacamole, refried beans, chips and salsa, I was very happy after finishing only two of the three tacos in the meal. I would definitely return to La Casa Del Taco the next time I’m in town, so give it a try if you’re in the area!

I have eaten at this restaurant for many years, but it seems like there was a certain point when the price started to go up considerably, while the quality of the food has not. The chips are not the best, which affects their nacho and pancho appetizers. Their salsa is unpredictable – sometimes very hot and other times too mild. Margaritas are way too sweet. I do enjoy their caldo tlapeno, but feel that it’s presentation doesn’t match it’s pricepoint. To drink, you can’t go wrong with a Michelada – they are great! However, for the same money I can go to Palenque Grill in McAllen and have great margaritas, top-notch service, presentation, and quality.
