I had a privilege of working with John Sturdevant as my realtor when looking to lease my house in Aliso Viejo. John’s knowledge KNOWHOW about real estate is multi-​faceted. I found working with him a joy and felt like he was there to help me during every step of the processes. He emanates a sense of trust-​worthiness that makes you feel very secure during what is without a doubt a very involved process. I had a house under renovation prior leasing and he referred me to whole-​sellers, handyman, and contractors. My house was under renovation for 2 weeks, once listed within another 2 weeks my house was leased. He has this intuitive feeling as to what a house is really worth and how well it will sell/lease…I am actually still using one of his referral contractor todate. He is always available when I have any question or need advise. I can call him anytime, any day. John is always there for me.
Thus, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend John to any person, who is looking for real estate services, as well as seek his service in any of my future real estate needs.

After dealing with great realtors while buying my two homes, I thought I had seen the best OC real estate could offer. Well, then we got to know John Sturdevant and this was a complete new fantastic chapter. I would dare to say he is hands down the best realtor in OC and the one I would not hesitate to recommend to my friends.
This year my mom moved to CA and she wanted to purchase her home here. We found John Sturdevant on the web and after reading the great reviews we asked him to help us find the property we wanted within our price range. John was so spot-​on on his feedback and advice that once we made our decision to go after a specific property it ended up being a great purchase and a lovely place. We got a great deal!
He had a busy schedule with other clients yet he made himself available ²⁴⁄₇. I ended up buying what we were looking for and I hired him to find me a tenant for my second property. John suggested ways to improve the unit and recommended me places that offer good prices and excellent work. John’s connections after being a realtor for over 20 years are limitless.
Since I have a busy schedule, John would supervise himself the paint, flooring and repairs of the unit.
A few minor things like a broken faucet and sink still needed to be fixed and he himself took care of it so I’d save my money. I’m still speechless!
Needless to say, once advertised, the property was rented in a week at the price we had stipulated.
All this unconditional help is part of his excellence in customer service. He sees the need and acts upon it. He made all the process so smooth for us and kept us updated on how the paperwork was progressing towards escrow. It is my experience that no money within my budget pays for a service like this. I’m honest to say that the property was bought thanks to John and the second property rented in a week because of him after the way he handled the challenges going above and beyond.
If I could give John 10 stars, I would. He went so much out of his way to help my mother and I that I am deeply grateful for all his dedication and attention to our needs. He really had our best interest in mind.
He is a total keeper for my future purchases/​sales in real estate.

John realizes that home shoppers have a sense of urgency and he is the Realtor that can deliver information and coordinate home showings with that same urgency in mind. John was our realtor last year when we bought our home in Mission Viejo. Not only did he listen and show us homes that met our needs, his attention to detail made the closing process seamless. When we had a problem with our loan, John called the other realtor and smoothed things over. His attention to every detail is amazing. We continue to call on John almost a year later for referrals for painters, contractors, etc. and he always responds quickly and efficiently. His referrals have been excellent.
