The Belvedere Inn is responsible for one of the most panicked nights I’ve ever experienced. I advised them through email, Kayak check-in, and telephone conversation(with an actual employee) that I would be a late arrival. The woman I spoke to said«That’s okay. I’ll be here.» So, I arrived to the hotel around midnight, which is the time I said I would arrive. I knocked on the«24 hour office» door and no one answered. I sat in my car and called the office several times. No one answered. I called the company with whom I booked, and they tried to get through to the«24 hour office» that the Belvedere boasts. They were also unsuccessful. I knocked again several times over the course of an hour. No one was there. Eventually, I gave up and had to find a new hotel at 1:00 a.m. What peeves me the most is that they couldn’t pick up a g*d d@mn phone and say, «We won’t be able to accommodate you. You may want to look for a different place to stay tonight.» Then I could’ve looked for another hotel in the safety of an airport, and not have to frightfully scroll through hotels on my phone, in a dimly lit Belvedere Inn parking lot, in some godforsaken industrial area. Would that have been SO hard? I believe they sold my room to someone else and didn’t bother to let me know. HOWSWEETOFTHEM. IT’D TAKE A FREAKINMINUTETOLEAVE A FREAKINMESSAGE. But no. I was not worthy of a minute of their time. Aside from this horrendous lack of professionalism and putting my safety in jeopardy, I would stay away from this place just based on the location. I was scared. When I arrived, I was like, «Oh geez. To save a few bucks, look at this sh*thole I booked.» There’s no way in HELL this place is a 3 star hotel. NOWAYINHELL. It’s a scroungy-looking motel with no facilities. It might be good for truckers, or people who are very, very armed. For anyone else, I would strongly advise against this place.
